Easter Sunday

Today is the anniversary of the true enlightening event that happened in the real-time of 2000 years ago.

It is an event that had been foreshadow by similar events that had been performed by Jesus during his  time of revealing that he was the Incarnation, the completion of IAMFTHERSONHOLYSPIRIT's loving purpose for mankind.

The latest of these had been the raising of Lazarus.

When Jesus was taken down from the cross and placed in the tomb there was not one person, even among his disciples who had anticipated anything like the happening recorded in this morning's Gospel. Both the son of the widow of Nain and Lazarus had been brought back to life by Jesus.

The Apostles and disciples knew that they did not have the power of the Living Lord. Jesus was no more. They who had experienced the warmth and security  of the loving community, taught and guided by the  wonder that was Jesus became individual consciousnesses alone in the emptiness of temporal reality. There was then nowhere for them to go.

We can spend our whole lifetimes trying to understand the historical events that culminate today.

What we have to do, however, is to gasp in wonder with Mary, "Rabunni!" and learn to articulate with Thomas "My Lord and my God" for Faith first fills our hearts and we then must seek the grace of Our Father to bear witness to it.

Dear Lord help me to be true to what you reveal to each one of us that we do your will on earth as it is done in heaven. Amen
