The world in which Jesus led the way, the truth and the life and the Apostles followed seems to us to be far away. Today Jesus insists that he has to go on to fulfill the purpose of his incarnation in Jerusalem. 

It is we who create sin but the sinless Son of God suffers opening the gates of Mercy for us to receive forgiveness but only if we reciprocate by acknowledging our sin and turn away from the wonders of this world in order to isolate ourselves from the unseen enemy of God, Satan.

Today St Paul brilliantly dresses us in the armour of a Roman legionary for we have to realise there is evil in this world and we have to fight against it. God, Jesus, St Paul and everything known by me exist inside my head where I too am located. They are there with me and are part of the reality of my being. 

If I try to understand the source of my sins I have as an adult concentrated on understanding the goodness of God and blamed myself for the evil I have created by refusing God's Mercy. 

Today Jesus is casting out devils. Adam's and Eve's excuses "Woman tempted me", "The serpent offered me the fruit" put the blame on an Evil that is in existence before their disobedience. St Paul makes it absolutely clear that within Creation there are devils, he calls them Sovereignties and Powers, against whom Jesus is ever victorious but by whom we can let our souls be captured.

I have always accepted that devils do exist as evil spiritual realities and not just as images conceived by man to excuse all the harm we have done in creation. But never given them much thought. Why should I fill my thoughts with "evil" when the cross which is ultimate power but seemingly an evil only speaks to me of Love?

The way that evil triumphs is when good men keep silent. Many, perhaps most of us, in this world have put "devils" into thought files labelled "superstitions" and thus keep silent about the strangle-hold that Mammon has on the world.

We cannot know the mind of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT but it is obvious that He who became man to enable us to defeat Satan cannot be pleased by his only rational creature who not only neither believes his revelation nor follows his guidance in this world.

Our world in 2024 is different from that of 0001-0033 only in the technological progress that is continuing to change the physical face of the planet. We the people of today are still the same in that our bodies are still controlled by DNA and  we are still souls, our realization of being, in the unseen minds that we can use to turn to God and defeat Satan through the power of the Cross. 

i.e. The Love crucified for us in the bitter pain of Calvary outside the walls of Jerusalem, the city loved by IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT for all eternity.

Dear Lord, have mercy on me a sinner and let me become a bastion against Satan, as a city open to your grace, open to the worship of you that is owed by a spiritual New Holy Family saved on the Cross at the city which has still never lived up to the Holy Peace you have offered it since the days "Jesus walked and preached in its Temple and shone there in the New Life that is the Resurrection. May my prayers join with all the worship of heaven and let the loving mercy we seek be shared as is your will with all sinners in this world and the Holy Souls now contained in their remorse in Purgatory, and suffering justly for their sins committed in the freedom of this world. Amen

I expect that for many of us St. Paul's acceptance of slavery as a fact of life is a source of bewilderment, embarrassment and shame. 

We all have been born into different times and places. We all have to make sense of our own lives but there are some of us who have been born to fulfill promises made to our natural parents as were the descendants  of Abraham.

God knows that I have never been happy with the truth that FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT by choosing only one family to whom to reveal his PRESENCE has not really helped us to overcome the stupidity of Adam and Eve. 

Israelis, descendants of the Chosen People, have been cursed by their sense of unique place in the World. They are not doing the will of Our Father by inflicting pain, suffering and death upon their enemies at this very moment as I begin my daily attention to the word of God read at Catholic masses today.

The soul that I am knows that the plank that is in my eye, when I stand before the Eternal Altar of God's Being, is everything that can be contained within this crumbling body, a life which I still love and cherish, a life which looks towards FATHERSONANDHOLYSPIRIT but wonders why I have to find out for myself the meaning of the "Will of God" in this time and place which is the only chance that I have of returning to the garden where Adam and Eve hid in shame before their Creator and brought death into the world.

Dear Lord, every time I open myself to your grace I have to say "You know" for that is the truth. You know me in my entirety as I am now, as I have been, and how the billions of choices I still have to make during my worldly lifetime will complete my life. I ask you for the grace to have the faith that is preached by St Paul, exemplified in Jesus and accepted on behalf of we thy children in the "Yes" of  Mary's "Let it be done according to thy Word". I am sure that the world in which my generation is living is not of your doing. Help us by your grace to make amends for our sins and leave again in this world the sure signs of your Love by Faith in your life, death and Resurrection, I don't think that there is more than this that I can do. I only hope that I can become the man you have created me to be. May my sins and all the sins of the world be wiped out by the mercy  for all sinners here and in Purgatory that pours down from the prayers of Mary, Saints of Heaven and Angels who by their presence before you receive the infinity of your mercy to support us in our struggles on Earth and total acceptance of your Justice in Purgatory. Amen

At the time St Paul wrote his letter to the Ephesians there were still people living who had witnessed the Crucifixion. St Paul himself had been converted by the Resurrection but we who read/listen to the mass readings for today are far away from those days in time but have to live exactly the same as did those who first believed. 

Over the centuries, many people have complained about the place of women in the Church. St Paul has been blamed for his attitude to women. 

If we all live according to the beatitudes, the golden rule, the ten commandments there would be only the biological difference between the sexes and the absolute equality with which Jesus treats  us all. " In the Kingdom of God there is no marriage or giving in marriage". "You will be like the angels".

Over the last few years, I have complained about the state of the Church. I have been unable to avoid the unsolicited dissatisfaction that the steady stream of scandals revealing the hypocrisy in the heart of what should be Christ's Body on Earth brings to me.

We are not "as Angels" in this world. We all know that we are material bodies that have to be tended. The "Incarnation" is exactly that. It is not an image or figure of speech. Jesus is not an idea in the mind of God. He is the same as my living flesh that I can pinch now and feel a jolt of pain.

St Paul sees the relationship between Christ and all his converts like that of the ideal human marriage, Jesus is the bridegroom and we, the believing Church, is his bride. The Jews never completely fulfilled their part of the covenant and we too know that just as men and women can sin during their marriages, our church has often failed to be true to her marriage vows.

The historical failures of the Church are something that we the spiritual descendants of the Hebrews, Colossians, Galatians and all the other recipients of Paul's letters have to face in our faith are the same now after two thousand years as when Paul first corrected them. There is always someone in the authority of the Vatican who knows better than did Jesus or Peter or Paul and there have been many far more heinous traitors than Judas. The grace of God, however  has never left and will never leave the New Holy Family of Mary and John, founded, as he died on the cross, by the Living Saviour of all mankind through whom all that is Good is made.

His mother, Mary is Our Lady and our mother and Theotokos for ever.

Dear Lord, You know that I continue to struggle to remain without sin but you also give me the confidence to know that I am not misguided by ego as I always know that my words come from my heart and that there are now no false scruples resulting from self-delight. You know that I sometimes feel that what I was always meant to be is happening now. Help me to continue to prepare for my death which I hope to face without the despair that must be with those who realise that it is only you who are for ever. You know that my being is much more than these words and that my heart, body and soul are ready to do your will and pray that other sinners may also receive the gifts that I need to accept in humility. May Mary who is so much more than any other created being lead all creation from her place in heaven in the praise that is our joy in knowing the source of our being and the thanks for the forgiveness that was created by the death in flesh that is the forever Sign of our Times and hope of all sinners here and in Purgatory. Amen

I have very often woken up without a thought of God and spent the whole of my day living in this world as it unfolds to my consciousness. It is very easy for me to continue to do that throughout each day. It has not always been so for most of us in the past and in the present for the poor and those involved in war.

Each of those who have led and are living saintly lives have many different gifts. We are all unique beings with one thing in common. Not one of us have arrived in time and space without growing in the wombs of our mothers exactly as do all mammals and we all have the same internal and unseen element that is the image and likeness of the Supreme Creator of all we see and Father of the Only Begotten Jesus.

The collapse of Faith in God is all too evident in my family, town and country. I have to ask why God chose to take the final step of his guidance by revelation at the historical point he did as the chosen people had retained their faith in IAMIAM to the extent that they would punish the "blasphemer" as they did do.

The Apostles, chosen in today's Gospel reading, have been followed by thousands of Bishops through whom, only with their, though frequently absent, cooperation, the grace  created for us by the final Sacrifice on Calvary. was to be channeled into the Church.

Where was the grace of God in the abyss of the worldly Papacy of the 10th century, the Albigensian Crusade, and countless individual killings of good men and women who would not conform to the Church that has never listened to the public announcement made by Jesus at his trial before Pilate?

St Paul in his letter to the Ephesians begins the interpretation of Jesus' life that is part of the start of the theology (commentary on revelation) of Christianity which is undoubtedly the Church for us "who have not seen and yet come to believe".

Jesus condemned hypocrisy wherever he saw it. He rejected the teaching of the scribes and the pharisees. The destruction of the Temple can be seen as a sign of IAMIAM's dissatisfaction with his chosen people but Jesus warns most particularly about how we should not read the will of God into historical events that are entirely of man's doing in his freedom in this world. 

Were those whose blood Pilate mixed with the sacrifices or were killed by the collapse of the tower at Siloam any more guilty than the millions of us who have lived and died since those days?

There are many of us for whom it is a pleasure to be alive. Others wake up to the sounds of war and of death showering down on them and their loved ones. There are others who instigate this horror for their fellows by pressing buttons or pulling triggers. There are others who cheer these belligerents on and yet others who decide whom shall be killed today. In factories far away from the events workers are calculating how much overtime that these conflicts are bringing to them and as for myself, I comment but do nothing. 

It is not only in temples and hierarchies that hypocrisy is to be found.

Dear Lord,  You know the state of your creation and yet we  continue to live today largely as we did yesterday. We prepare our daily bread but ignore our sins until we come to a crisis that we respond to by "Lord, Lord" without the integrity of a St Francis that stands naked before you in complete humility. I have to accept that you know the great sins committed by your Church in blasphemous use of your name as you know mine, yet she is still with us, as am I. I pray that it is the grace that flows from your side  and your words to Mary and John that maintain me in my striving to be what you created me to be. May the prayers of Mary, Saints and Angels continue to plead for us and may my own prayers join theirs and become the mercy that is needed by all sinners on Earth and in Purgatory and by the Church that has yet to attain the state of being that St Paul knew she should have "The Body of Christ on Earth".

The relationship that IAMIAM has with his people in the Old Testament lasts for centuries in human time. There are many times the people fail and see themselves as punished for their transgressions. 

In the New Testament Jesus responds to Mary's request for him to save her friends in Cana from the embarrassment of running out of wine at the wedding feast. She knows that he can but Jesus first demurs and then does as his mother asks. He knows that he has now begun his mission and can no more enjoy being a simple human being in the obscurity of Nazareth.

He is the Son of God, of IAMFATHERSONANDHOLYSPIRIT.

After the first miracle Jesus gives many other signs of his divine being. At the feeding miracles he always works through his Apostles the twelve whom he has ordered to follow him. When he cures the individual sick, however, he reaches out with love in answer to the petitions  of  themselves or their loved ones. 

Today Bartimaeus annoys the crowd by his loud-mouthed disturbance but Jesus answers his plea and cures him explaining that it is Faith that has saved him. What is the Faith that brings relief to the possessed, the lame, the deaf and the dumb?

All of the miracle cures of the sick were of people who had come to the end of their tether in the misery that was living as incomplete humans. The possessed were damaged in their brains, the crippled in their limbs, the blind in their eyes and their lives were unjoyful. They heard that there was someone from Nazareth who could cure and they reached out to him as their last resort.

In his miracles Jesus reveals to the community of his followers, to the followers of the Law, to his Church that he responds to the isolated, the damaged of this world, the hopelessly addicted who know only pain and anger, the truly weak who know that they are despised and treated as less than human. The Jews of  the Third Reich, anyone under the Rising Sun, the original inhabitants of the New World, the negroes of South Africa.   

 Our God has experienced for himself what it is to be scourged by life, rejected by his own people, the target of spittle, humiliated by nakedness, to become in the hands of men a "thing" to be hung by nails from the cross. He who has known the totality of human suffering is ever ready to respond positively to "Faith" that may be the result of a long but basically comfortable struggle (my own) or the blinding flash of realisation coming with the drawn out death on another cross to the "Good Thief". 

Dear Lord, Help me to stay with you and pray today. I ask that I can seek you with the total sincerity of the truly poor and damaged, those who trapped in the reality that brings death to them everyday and whose response is anger. How else could such victims of evil men respond other than with anger? We have got it wrong by telling ourselves that we live your way, truth and life in the Institutional Churches of this World, and have spent too much time making sure that ourselves and families are at peace and joyful but forgetting that our enemies are our brothers and sisters and that it is their human pain that you know which calls out for the cessation that only you can give to the wars in Africa and Middle-East. May the prayers of Mary and All the saints help me to become all that I should be as a witness to the evil of mankind and by prayer achieve what is beyond me as a man. Please return, Lord Jesus, without you our world is hopeless. We first prayed "Maranatha" let your will be done on Earth now just as it is in heaven. Amen

St Paul is this morning praying from the depths of his being that his converts become aware of the divine unity that is our purpose in life to seek and to witness by our way of living. Our own being is the "sign of the times" that we ignore at our peril.

Jesus does not often reveal annoyance. Nor does he conceal anything about himself that we need to know.

The incarnate IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT knows that mankind is focused on the material world which is known by our sense data, interpreted by human intelligence. Jesus our fellow man is not a created replica an "artificial God" which has been created by God to make a point in a debate that he has had since the beginning of time with an equal alternate eternity.

Jesus is the only Son begotten to experience the being of man lived in time. "True Man and True God".

This morning Jesus allows his human frustration to show in his exasperation and tells us the truth about ourselves. The "weather forecast" stands for the totality of human knowledge. He tells his listeners, all of humanity, that we are intelligent enough to explain the whole of creation and yet we ignore "the sign of the times" that never changes. Each one of us is a created eternal soul living through the time created in matter.

Time changes constantly but "My word will stand" and the "sign of all times" is the dying Christ on the cross outside the city walls. The body Jesus dies there in totality but the Resurrection completes the revelation made by Our Father throughout the ages and also today. 

We become "hypocrites" when we follow our own egos and block-out completely or  pay only lip-service to God's calling us to live sinless holy lives in this world. Death is not only the end in this world, but also  the beginning of a new life in the loving and never-ending peace which passes all understanding. It is the beginning of the Great Adventure that it is to stand before IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

Dear Lord, Let this day become for me a prayer that keeps me focused on the Grace that is Your Love for your creation. Let me learn how to live for others as you showed on your way, truth and life. May my continuing life be one of penitence and fear of reoffending. Let me join my prayers to those of Mary and all the Saints and let me become part of the family unity that you knew for thirty years of your life and entrusted to Mary and John to continue. Let your mercy continue to shower down like the rose petals seen by St. Therese and let me be open to your guidance and thus be defended from devil, world and flesh. May the Holy Souls continue to pay their dues to justice and let us all realise that the utter pain of your sign for all times results from  even the simplest of our sins. Amen

For these few minutes that I spend reading and and then holding onto, the mass readings that are used in the daily mass of the Roman Church I am experiencing the best thing that can happen to me today for I am awakening my soul to remember that I am dust and will return to dust. It is only the word of God that has any permanence in this life.

It must be by the will of God that the Church which has lost its soul so many times in the World of Mammon and blathers on to impress itself and the world by its great intellects has also preserved  in its heart the scriptures and the Catholic Faith too can be seen, in the final analysis, to be based only on the reformers' slogan "Sola scriptura".

The slogan is simple and its application is also simple for me but I am only one of millions who approach God in sincerity of heart. We  all receive the same grace but we are all conditioned by the place and time in which we are born. That is why some of us declare before God that they will consecrate their lives to a life of prayer and will remain in the presence of the Lord throughout each day and ignore the conditioning that some call the "Providence of God" but in reality is the ever changing human culture created by the freedom of choice given by God to all of us.

To live consciously in the presence of Our Father is the perfect way of being human that Jesus and his mother revealed to us by their unknown lives in Palestine two thousand years ago. St Paul who was the first to be named newly converted Apostle selected as were the original twelve by Jesus himself tells that our adherence to Christ will become a communion with FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and all other believers. This ability to become unified in the peace of Christ is what all Christians long for.

In today's Gospel, however,  Jesus tells us that this is not to be in this world. We are shocked by the vehemence of his language but we know that he is the same Jesus who also said "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth". The grace of God is not controlled by any Institution even though it has resulted from Jesus' words "Thou art Peter and on your rock I will build my Church". 

I know by experience that "grace" has not deserted this world and find faith in the other words of foundation, those that were uttered from the Cross. "Woman behold your son, son behold your Mother." This creates the never ending kingdom that is not of this world and is the Spiritual New Holy Family where Jesus is now and promises to remain until the end of time. This is the grace that has often been hidden by the Institutional Church but is always there to be found in this world by those who seek it.

Dear Lord, You know that my sinful soul longs to be to able to know love and serve. I hope to be able to know your Glory, return your Love, and serve by doing your will in this world so that I can become part of the eternal event that you have created us to share with you. May Mary our mother lead all Angels and her children, your Saints in the prayers that is our greatest need on sinful earth and may we sinners on earth also share in the Mercy that is needed by the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus, Come

We all have access to God's will for us when we have hearts and minds that are truly open to the Word, when we know and accept the revelation that has already been completed. We do not have to struggle against the deceptions of men. The words of scripture are addressed to each of us and have always been the way, the truth and the life. Is it possible for there to be anything in this world greater than the Resurrection?

St Paul not only has been overpowered by his glimpses of eternity he has also entered into the depths of the mystery that is the unseen being that we call soul and for many of us is so overpoweringly absolute that we prefer to ignore it and then deny its existence.

Jesus, Incarnate IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, lived as revealed Son for only three years and for each moment of those years delivered the same message. "Be awake" for the absolute that is the centre of our being is not of this world, but a soul which we can never understand but must accept as a reality that is also a responsibility that we have to nurture and keep alert for, although we are free, our eternal soul is only ours to control for the limited "real-time" that is always passing away without check.

Many are the pursuits that we can follow to fill this time and avoid our God-given responsibility. Most of us have thick layers of self-deceit, "fig leaves" to hide our nakedness but we cannot ever avoid the  oversight of God and at our life's end will have to answer for the many occasions we have defied God and followed the wise and the clever into the supermarkets of Mammon to acquire one of the many bespoke millstones that are always on offer in this world.

Dear Lord, let me continue my efforts to be a witness to you in this world. Help me to be consistent in my prayers. Help me to shut up and listen for your response and not confuse it in the "pagan babble" you warned us about. Prayer is doing your will on earth as it is done by Our Lady and the untold numbers of your saints in Heaven. May all those dying as I write this receive your mercy may the penance of the Holy Souls become acceptable so that they too may join you in the peace of being that is your Glory and completed perfection of lifetimes spent in awareness that you are God who creates us to choose to be your image and likeness. Amen

I am never able to approach FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT without questioning my own motives. I am not looking for targets to complain about in this world but some do project themselves into my consciousness as does St John Paul II whose feast-day is today. I know that I am a sinner and that I have to look carefully at my own thoughts and words and try to judge them objectively. 

I do, however, take umbrage against the Church when it  acts as if it doesn't believe its own message. I am still convinced that the histrionics of St. John Paul were of no spiritual benefit to anyone except his own image of himself. I was particularly embarrassed by his attempts to stir up the adulation of the "youth" of England at Wembley Stadium. Mass hysteria cannot ever be a sure foundation for anything of lasting value.

The latest English addition to the highest ranks of Institutional Church Authority has for years skipped about preaching a doctrine of "love" in support of a "community of sinners" who celebrate their sin with "Pride". Jesus warns us all about the millstone that awaits those who teach others to sin. This Cardinal Preacher is responsible for his own sins but should as preacher preach the "Word of God" and not some human thinking that is produced out of the minds of the wise and the clever.

Today's Saint and tomorrow's Cardinal are both men as I am. I know that even though my lack of talent is obvious, it is very difficult for me to control my own pride. The help of the Holy Spirit ensures that I am getting better at doing so. Men like the Saint and Cardinal whose talents shine out, have a real difficulty in curbing pride for their superiority to most of us is obvious.

God's Truth, however is that Son, the only begotten, is the only perfect Man, although Mary is sinless she is still a creature. During his time on earth Jesus always forgave the sins of individuals even those of the soldiers who nailed him to the cross. Throughout the centuries, Popes Cardinals etc. have never acted as if they were aware that the only sinners ever condemned as a group by Jesus were not  "the Jews" but those holding in the world of the Old Testament Revelations, positions in human life now claimed by those in the Apostolic Succession. 

Dear Lord you know how much truth, if any, there is in my dissatisfaction. I am trying to avoid sin by honestly starting each day consciously in your presence with my mind soul open to receive your grace. I do not wish to condemn anybody. Indeed, how could I who know how willfully I have so often refused your grace? I would always prefer to be positive in my thoughts, prayers and petitions each morning, but today I am sure that those who "show-off" in their intellects and supposed piety are failing in their duty as priests who should be warning sinners to seek redemption not have excuses found for them. May Our Lady, your Mother who has zero knowledge of how depraved humans, who forsake her Son, can become, lead those who have accepted your Mercy to be able to join the Angels and Saints in the unity of Holiness that contains no shadow of dissent and pleads for our imperfect souls and the penitent in Purgatory to receive your Mercy with the thanks that needs eternity to express it fully. Lord heed my prayer and forgive us all even me who has so often sinned. Amen

Sometimes when I begin my day I feel that I am on the right path to becoming the end that God created me to be.

Today St Paul tells us that we were under God's anger. I do not want to think that it is possible for FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT to be subject to any negativity at all about the creation that is the product of Divine Love.

St Paul knows that we are all alive in our "sensual bodies" which in these times we know are determined by our DNA and the "I" which comes to us by ..... 

If I say "chance" 

I am denying the "freedom" that Adam had to obey or not to obey for the "I" that we all have is determined by the human culture into which we are born. Adam and Eve were direct creations who stood naked and ashamed in the sight of God. 

If I say by the "will of God" 

I am again denying our "freedom" for there has never been anyone, except for Jesus, who decided for himself where and when to have his being and birth.

Jesus makes it clear that our purpose in life is not to build up material wealth. In fact, he tells us that the material of the Universe is a distraction and that it is to caring for our unseen spiritual being that we need to devote our lives on Earth. God wanted Adam & Eve to chose to share paradise with him.

Our Father who still knows each of us as completely as he knew Adam and Eve in the first days of our times wants us to accept his will for us as the only objective of our being. That is why the psalmist can sing "How good is the Lord to us, Eternal is his merciful Love, He is faithful from age to age" and Jesus tells us "watch and be on your guard against avarice of any kind." 

The "any kind" must  include even for spiritual favours that are not ours to win but which we have to accept in humility that does not display itself by accepting office yet claim superiority to its worldly display. Like Pope like Cardinal!

Dear Lord, You know that as man I think that I can have a rational understanding of your purpose  but am never going to comprehend your being. In fact to understand myself is often beyond my capacity. You created me to know, love and serve and to never disparage, despise or offend my neighbour for he too is an equally created soul that belongs to you. Let the eyes of my understanding be opened by your grace to accept that FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT can be known only when we remove the last vestiges of human pride from our souls to become the "perfect me" who can join with Mary, Angels and all Saints in the response that is the creation of your love, perfect prayer. Amen

When we read the scriptures we are connected with the eternal present that is God's Being. In the real-time of the world, the mystery of the "Suffering Servant" is way before the real-time of  the mystery of Jesus. It is not so for the Eternity of God.

Superstitious man has always tried to predict the future. The scriptures, however, are the records of eternally living prophets' inspired responses to the revealed glimpses of the eternal mystery of being that is always "now" to IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

There is not one of us who has chosen to be alive at this moment. We all encounter personal realities and live in individual unique times and call this the Providence of God.

So it was, too, in first century Palestine when Jesus walked, taught and chose the twelve to maintain his presence in the world. Peter and the rest of the Apostles had no idea that they would meet the Son until called by Jesus and would only come to a less than clear understanding of what they were experiencing until after the Ascension.

They met a man such as themselves but one who they saw could change material reality at will. Mary had known from the time of the Annunciation that she was taking care of the "Son of God". Her "they have no wine" prompted the first Miracle. Mary had had God's purpose revealed by the message of an Angel but the Apostles saw the charisma and power of Jesus as evidence of the Messiah, a new Moses who would free their nation from the yoke of slavery to Rome.

They did not understand  that Jesus really did not have any plans to develop a new power to govern mankind in this world and so they quarrelled, ironically enough, about precedence in the Kingdom Jesus denied before Pilate. 

Jesus was solely concerned to give us the grace to recognise and do the will of FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT so that each of our souls could be guided away from sin and onto the road to eternal happiness that was created by the unseen Love he poured out on Calvary.

I have come to the unhappy conclusion that JesusFatherHolySpirit has never been able to look at the Institutional Church and say "This is my beloved Church with which I am well pleased". 

We have never been left alone, however, even in the disgusting days of the first Vatican pornocracy and other godless periods of Church mal-governance to seek him without guidance, for Mary is not only the human mother of Our Lord she was also appointed the Spiritual Mother of Mankind while witnessing with John and the other Marys the gruesome real death that had to precede the overpoweringly real Resurrection.

Dear Lord help me to remain open to your truth and without anger as I become aware of the depths of corruption that Hierarchs of the Church have lead us into by misuse of your Name. All holiness that has ever been supported by your foundation on St Peter has had its origin in the grace you bestowed on your beloved Mother, the female and sole male disciples as they witnessed your death. The Church teaches that your presence in the Eucharist is ensured by going through the motions without any need for faith or holiness on the part of the priest. The learned and the clever claim to understand this but the little ones turn away in sorrow from such a lack of holiness that denies what first we came to believe about the mass. May my mind remain clear and my soul obtain forgiveness as I approach my bodily death. May Mary help us all to seek your grace and come to remember that we should continuously strive as did the Apostles to make a new "sign of the times" and  that is the eternal Sign of the Cross. Amen

Every human life has a beginning and an ending. It is not the complete package until it is over. 

The chosen people of IAMIAM were assured that there were rules within the Covenant that ordered the lifetimes of the chosen ones into doing the will of the supreme power, the NAME above all names.

I know that I do not have the eloquence of St Paul with which to express my faith. I do not have the mind to clarify even for myself "Name", living in what for St Paul was "the age to come" which for me is "now" except to wonder whether he is referring to this world or the next.

The Psalmist sings of the joy that we have all known when we have let our hearts be filled with the light that is God's faith, hope and love for us. He sings with joy but within the joy there is a warning that man has the power to become "little less than a god".

Jesus, who is God himself, incarnate, preparing to be the witness of his own "Name" warns us that although his Mercy is vast beyond imagination, the sin of the ones, "little less  than a god" who are so confident in their "Own Name" that they challenge or deny the "Kingdom which is not of this world" and choose to be as gods knowing for themselves what is right or wrong will lose the infinite being that FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT creates us all to attain. 

We all must come pretty close to doing this each time we refuse to accept the Mercy proffered by Holy Spirit, suffered for by Incarnate Son, created by Father and give the "rule of man" precedence over the Love of God.

Dear Lord you know that I am trying to be a witness before men of your mercy. I know that words are not enough and that a sinless life is a far greater sign than thought and words. May I learn penitence and accept your punishment as I try to avoid more sin while living out  my span which you have given me to plead for forgiveness with heart-felt gratitude that is much more then lip service. May the Sinless Mary, Angels Saints welcome the dying and the forgiven Holy Souls into the infinite joy that being with you creates for all creation. It is only in the Name of Father, Son, Holy Spirit that I can find mercy and forgiveness. Amen.

If God's original  trust in our free ability to choose to rectify the results of Adam's disobedience had proved successful then we would not have needed the Incarnation. 

If there had not been the Incarnation there would not have been any need for the sinless Theotokos, the Twelve who walked throughout Palestine with Jesus listening, just being with God and our "so great a Saviour" himself  would not have responded to Adam's "Happy Fault".

At the time of the Incarnation, the faith of the Pharisees, the belief of the Temple Religion, was that after Adam had made his choice to disobey his creator, mankind lost our original unity and expanded into the bewildering mass of individual consciousnesses (all known by God) sometimes unified into "nations" that occupied the land promised to Abraham, the Promised Land". With the guidance and approval of IAMIAM Moses' followers cleared those out and despite innumerable setbacks over centuries are still doing the same today.

I am one of the descendants of the recipients of the message of the original seventy two and have retained Jesus' words "God is near you" as the "Other" that confirms my own unique being and is the guidance that never fails even though I do not fully comprehend it.

It is very hard for me to say this but I do think there are now and have been many times during the history of the world when even the Ultimate Sacrifice and Resurrection has not been enough to establish God's will on Earth. In his condemnation of Scribes and Pharisees, Jesus also condemned their "Law" which had not succeeded in directing each one of its followers into doing the will of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT as God, in his Incarnation, has revealed himself to be.

God knows us all and he knows also that the weakness that is my being (and millions of others) needs to have been born into the Church that St Peter was to manage and confirm with St Paul  and His Mother with Saint John were to nourish with the Spiritual Guidance of HOLYSPIRITFATHERSON, if it is to know and do the Will of God on earth. I cannot see that this has ever happened for any generation since those days.

We all know that Pharisees and Lawyers failed IAMIAM. Jesus himself confirmed this in, Life, Death, Resurrection and that we can see for our selves today that institutions, Popes, Patriarchs, Prelates, Priests Preachers and all other ministers of Christianity have failed as did Priests, Prophets and Pharisees before them to support the care of individual souls that God knows of which we are all in need.

 Jesus' Mystical Body, however, the materially unconfined New Spiritual Holy Family has never failed and has always grown to feed the Faith that we need to clasp tightly to our beings for there is nothing in our lives more important than receiving the peace that comes from God, for he still trusts us and knows that even though, our organisations have failed to break free of the material kingdom of this world, the rule of Mammon, our souls are not only able to but have to if God's will on Earth is to be done.

Dear Lord, You are God and I am but a sinful man who is trying to respond to your Love. Help me to understand how it is that your original foundation on St Peter has committed so many sins in direct disobedience exactly as did Adam. You know what we need to become the perfect human beings that you have revealed in Jesus and Mary. May the prayers of Mary lead all Angels and Saints in praise that is the substance of Heaven and in your mercy not only forgive us our sins but also open our hearts to the mystery of what we call Love. May the souls of the penitents in Purgatory come to the total sorrow that is needed for any of us to be freed from the stain of our sins and may all souls on earth become active in their search for, by realising that You know each one of us and have more than enough, Mercy to forgive each one of us. Amen.

Thoughts prompted by the mass-readings for today's date as displayed on Universalis.com and the life and times of a newly designated Cardinal. 

I am not claiming for myself anything but humanity and thus, as are we all, a sinner. 

Many of us of my generation who have tried to follow the revelation of himself made to the world by Jesus have had it thrust into our faces that the religions which bear the name of Christ and into which we we have been born by the providence of God are today and always have been "Idols" that by creating for themselves institutions based on their consensual opinions became mirror images of the only people ever condemned by Jesus, and thus have Pharisaical feet of clay.

Today Jesus mourns that the guardians of the Covenant IAMIAM made with his people, the Jews, have manipulated his revelation into the lip-service of "whited sepulchres". He "mourns" because although God is immutable the Word Incarnate is "true man" and can thus experience and display all human emotions. Emmanuel is with us to bring salvation to sinners not to "cancel", a word of our times, sin as do the professional preachers locked into what they call "the signs of the times" and in reality is the " kingdom of this world" that was denied by Jesus before Pilate, its then representative on Earth.

The Resurrection is the ultimate purpose of Jesus' being, but his living body from womb to the grave is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT's witness to us that there is no condition of being human being, sin excepted, that is not known through truly human experience by our God.

St Paul, whose letters to those "who have not seen but are blessed by belief" and St John remain the chief "targum" of the life and deeds of Jesus of Nazareth, today tells the Ephesians that we have all been blessed with "spiritual" gifts that enable us to become and remain the spotless ones known and created by God.

The Institutional Church, which, although fragmented has never been deserted by the Holy Spirit, even though she ignores him more often than follows, ensures today that all her ministers (even Cardinals and Bishops) will at least hear "the word of the Lord" and remember that the Liturgical event at which they are presiding is taking place because we can only regain our freedom from sin through the blood of Christ and that every generation and individual has to answer for their own sin and for not  challenging the sin of the World, the Culture of our Times.

Dear Lord, You know that I realise that I am as nothing before you but by your care, your Love for me, I can grow free from the tangles of memories that have been the many sinful moments of my life. You know that these words are not meaningless platitudes but mean exactly what they say. With your grace I can live up to them but only if  I am as truly honest as I think I am now. Help me Lord, Jesus. You know that I am truly horrified by the way that your straight forward condemnation of bodily sin is being twisted into the nonsense that I have read and heard spouted by Bishops and Abbots who have convinced themselves that it is they and not You who teach your people how to behave on Earth.  I pray that these thoughts and prayers can become part of the prayer of all of us who know that our spiritual self needs to dominate our bodies and will be supported by Mary and all the Angels and Saints of Heaven. May St Ignatius too keep the "fierce leopards" who guarded him on the way to Rome in his prayers and may our souls and those of all repentant sinners receive the pardon that you have won for us all. Amen.

I often wonder what it is about mankind that it has always been necessary for our God to review his plan of how he reveals his intentions to us. Abraham and all the prophets knew that Adam had disobeyed and that it was only by obedience that they could fulfill the Will of God but by the time of the Incarnation the original chosen people had become in need of the Ultimate Sacrifice to enable us to begin again in the footsteps of the New Adam. 

The original Adam was created ensouled material, flesh and blood. The New Adam, Jesus, is God himself, Son of FATHERSONHHOLYSPIRIT now true man, begotten not made, of one being with the Father through whom all things were made and all the other attributes as defined under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, at Chalcedon fifteen hundred years ago.

In St Paul's letter to the Galatians he can emphasise as he has had direct experience, that there has been a great shift in the way that God guides his people. The corporal laws that have been preached to them by others have in deed become weakened to become a temporal show condemned by Jesus and our response to God's new revelation in the grace of the Resurrection has now to be Spiritual in words and deeds that are governed by love of God and of our neighbour.

Each one of us can become secure in the heart of our beings only when we connect to the stream of Love, grace that always increases to meet the calls made on it. It is sure that our spiritual life is what leads us to God. We really do have to curb our bodily appetites and to focus our minds on finding and recognising what is the will of God for each of us.

I can write the above with sincerity knowing that my intentions are open to God so that I hope to be on the way to truth and life, but cannot imagine what God's plan is for all those who have never been given the opportunities for salvation as have the Chosen People and Christians who have heard the Word of God.

Dear Lord, help me to continue to call on you throughout this day to be free from sin and devoted to responding to your guidance and Love. You have always known me more deeply than I can know  myself so my prayers for the souls who have lived without ever being aware of you are not an impertinence but an attempt to understand Your will for all of us. May Mary the one human who has full knowledge of and love for you lead the prayers of all Angels and now sinless Souls that are in the perfect happiness that you have prepared for us all, that your forgiveness may be sought by all sinners on earth and gratefully received by our brothers and sisters still suffering Justice in Purgatory. Amen

Those who heard Jesus speak had to retain his message in their memories and at the same time go about the daily tasks that were the norm for 1st Century Palestine. In my case I feel that would be impossible for I cannot hold in my head even these short readings from Scripture until the end of each "today " that I live.

I can remedy that personal defect by accepting these personal prayers and reflections that I record here, as a Truth that comes from God, but I always have to quibble and fuss about them to achieve even a little of the confidence in God displayed by St Paul. "In those day" it was only in our natural intelligences that words and ideas were retained before they were written down with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 

The Gospels provide us with eye-witness accounts of the "headlines" of the three years when the Incarnate Son of  IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT revealed himself to the "Chosen People" who had somehow, not withstanding he direct help they received from the Prophets, not been able to become the examples of righteous living that would reveal God to this world.

St Paul had been well on the road to becoming a Pharisee perfecting himself in the Righteousness of the Law that was his birthright when he was stopped in his tracks and blinded by the light of the Resurrection into becoming a traitor in the eyes of his own sect and an, at first, "untrustworthy" convert to the infant church.

These two sources of my personal faith have had billions of words written about them, within which our primary purpose can founder in an ocean of claims of  knowledge and counter claims about FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT that block out the light of pure faith. Incarnate God, however speaking as Jesus, warns us that it is only in purity of heart that we can choose the spotless perfection of grace to keep us on the way, truth and life that is always guided by faith according to the Will of God, Father of Jesus and Creator of all material and spiritual being. We are because God is.

Dear Lord, Help me to identify your true voice amongst the myriad of ideas and experiences in which I can lose the thread that leads me out of the labyrinth that is my own of the human minds that are for you as alive and known as I am to myself. Only you can know me in the depths of my being; you know all of my sins and have revealed that all of us can be forgiven if we make true amendment by using the Grace that was purchased in the horror of Calvary, the only way for this creation to become what you had intended it to be. May Mary lead all the Saints of heaven in supplication for us sinners on earth to cooperate with you and to know that each one of us can do your will and that even if our total plea for mercy comes late in our lives, Purgatory can provide for each of us the punishment that we have avoided on Earth. May my sins and the sins of the whole world be forgiven and may the Holy Souls find the forgiveness that is in your promise as Good Shepherd to seek out and bring all lost sheep back into the fold of YOUR LOVE. Amen

In this morning's first reading, St Paul is not only proclaiming the Good News but preaching to correct errors. The error is being made by those who have not completely committed themselves to the way, truth and life that the Resurrection has confirmed for all time as God's will for his image and likeness.

The letters and known events of Paul's life confirm that Faith is not based not on "human thinking" but on real historical events that reveal "through a glass darkly" how we can prepare ourselves to become the person that is known by "Our Father".

There was no mass media in the "times" lived by the generation out of which grew the Truth, Christianity. The New Testament is the record of those times as is the Old of the times before Christ. Most of the literal followers and first believers had been totally enmeshed in the Love that is the Incarnation, Jesus Son of God and Son of Man, the first "fisher of men" that they or their family members had encountered on each individual's personal Road to Damascus.

Dissent is normal for humanity. The Original Sin is disobedience followed as night follows day by Jealousy. Far away from the discord in Ankara, Paul feels desperate that the words of eternal life have again been refused and the the slavery of the "Law" has occluded the clarity of his personal epiphany.  FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT had captured his being with the grace that grew greater the more he gave away.

Dear Lord, I don't need to babble on but help me to hold onto you throughout this day even though both the allegory of St Paul and the "Sign of Jonah" are both less than clear to me. As Jesus was growing up into the adult who saves all mankind from permanent death. Mary and the other relatives in the Nazarene Holy Family known and Loved by the Saviour certainly knew you at the various stages of human growth and "pondered" all that you did. To know you we, however, have to interpret words written long ago and we also have to fight the distractions of devil, world and flesh that combine to misdirect our intelligences and wills. May your Holy Mother continue to lead all Angels, Saints in the community of praise with prayers for all sinners on Earth and in the sincere atonement of the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

The mass readings for today are, as usual, all about how we need the grace of God to live according to his will in his creation where we have our being. We are all individual body, mind and soul alive at this moment and known and loved by "Our Father". 

The themes of the readings for today are wisdom and wealth. Wisdom is praised as a goal worthy of being sought by each one of us. Wealth, however, is a hindrance to following the path to God revealed in the historical events and words of Scripture.

Wisdom tells us that the body and mind which are my material being can be guided by our souls to access in this world before anything else the Love that comes from God. Jesus, the incarnate Son is the Love of FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT in a human body just as is ours and subject to the laws of nature.

This eternal event of complete revelation occurred in created time and was with us for 33 years teaching by word and example before being finally rejected by those for whom he had only shown Love and Mercy.

God's knowledge of all things includes all the billions of results that can come from the innumerable free-wills that are at work creating our human reality now and in every other second past present or future and  known to us as God's Providence.

 He has not created any one of us to follow his programming of our "Algorithm" we are always a "work in progress" and able to make the choice between wisdom or wealth, spirit or material, God or Mammon that becomes the Eternal Life prepared for us by the Love that proceeds from the HOLYSPIRITFATHERSON, the Trinity that we adore.

Dear Lord, help me live out this day with only love in my heart although saddened by the killing perpetrated by my contemporaries. It is your will to forgive all sinners, You know that this is not an opinion but a fact of life that it has taken me a lifetime to realise. May all of those, family and friends, whom I know also come to the same realisation and that the damage in this world caused by mankind can only be realised by a conversion to YOU that can only happen in each individual's heart. May my prayers be joined with all who are now raising their minds and hearts in worship and with those who have completed their earthly journeys and who pray with Angels and Saints, with Mary and John in the eternal never changing Love that is heaven. May the Holy Souls who are experiencing Holy Justice in Purgatory know that they are for ever known in your love as they come to closer understanding of what was their sin.

Each one of us has to be responsible for our own conduct throughout our lives on Earth. The scriptures have been recorded for each one of us to experience for himself how God has dealt and is still dealing with his creation. We pray to be "safe from sin just for today".

St Paul tells the Galatians, as he tries to correct their acceptance that the "Law of the Scribes and Pharisees" can ensure their eternal life and that their souls will be guided into the presence of IAMIAM only by being scrupulous in observance of that Law, that, in fact, it is only belief and dedication to Jesus, the culmination of IAMIAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT's revelation, open to the free choice of all of us, which is "Faith" that is the only spiritual compass to the same perfect life on Earth, as was Jesus', Our Lord and complete exemplar of living out God's will on Earth.

The living presence of Jesus in Palestine two thousand years ago is the most important intervention of God into the lives of his people. Peter and the twelve were not the only ones who were captivated by the Son of God. Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, John, Lazarus, Martha are  names that come instantly to mind. There are many others mentioned but not named.

I know that it is possible for all human beings to be in the ranks of the nameless, in this world, receivers of the Word. I can strive for "Faith" and shout out with the anonymous voice in today's Gospel praise because I know that we can all be blessed by "hearing the word of God and keeping it". 

Dear Lord, Let me have the blessing of faith enough to know that you have created me to be able to respond to Your Faith in your created image and likeness. Faith can be seen in action in the words of the Apostles and in your words and deeds recorded by the evangelists. The lives of the first Christians were filled with distractions and squabbles with fellow believers, This is still the state of the world and the Church, the sign of all human times. The world, the flesh and the devil can all be overcome not by the LAW of institutions but by the Spiritual New Holy Family, Mary John and we who can overcome our sins by the help of your grace and can live not spectacularly, but with lives of faith, which is our own, and Your Love which passeth all understanding. May my sins and the sins of the whole world be forgiven  as are those of the Holy Souls suffering in certainty the redeeming pain of Purgatory. Amen.

Jesus' warning about the ability of devils to survive even the condemnation of God has been somewhere in my mind since first I heard it. I have never been able, however, to visualise the spiritual creation that is also the work of God. Hence, I have never felt comfortable in recorded visions of Heaven, Ezekiel, Daniel, Book of Revelations.

Jesus did tell us that he used parables to help us to understand his words and so I have only thought this story of how dangerous are the devils against whom we have to fight as, for me, a well-known cycle of piety, temptation, sin, confession, piety temptation and yet again a far more guilt-laden sin.

Psychiatrists have built reputations and fortunes by helping patients come to terms with their personal acceptance of the strangeness that is the mind of human life. St Paul had always in addition to his problems with fellow Jews, the Apostles, the knowledge of his own part in the death of Stephen, to face up to a "sting" which was present with him but unseen.

Today I know that Jesus is not a psychiatrist. He does not analyse and seek to cure mankind of guilt. He takes away the sins of the world by revealing FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT'S intentions for his material creation and for the image and likeness, mankind, that has been given the capacity to continue the work  of creation with our ability to choose to live according to the will of Our Father.

All our souls are real, an unseen presence within us, God is real, an unseen all powerful Love, devils are real, unseen enemies of God and Creation.

I can believe God, the Mystical Body of Christ, heavenly Love none of which I can see. It seems that it would be a much more rational of me to face-up to the Enemy of God and his creation with the Grace that I have never used to the fullest for St Peter's "roaring Lion"  does indeed continue to hunt for souls in the wilderness created by Godless Man.

Dear Lord, help me to do my duty in this life. Let me bear witness to you in my deeds, let my devotion to you be completely sincere, and let my life become prayer that will never lead me into temptation. I ask for your grace to be aware that the World of the Spirit has within it dangers that must be fought by Angels but can become evils when implemented in this world by sinful men of whom I am one. I know that Our Lady and Jesus are present in Heaven in enhanced material bodies which we can all share when God becomes for us "All in all". But now I am a body, mind and soul with soul being my way, truth and life to the gates that are always open not matter how hard the enemies block them by distracting us by the wonders of our abilities to understand and adapt the material of creation. May all sinners dying by shared violence today be cleansed of their sins by the abundance of your Mercy in Purgatory and may my sins and those of all the world be acknowledged with atonement even as I conclude this prayer for today. Amen

Today, St Paul, probably in Rome, is writing to the Galatians, a people of Celtic origin who had over centuries become Greek speaking Anatolians and at the time Paul was writing to them were part of the Roman Empire. St Paul is greatly disappointed that the Church, he has founded as part of his FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT given mission, has been corrupted by Judaizers who insist that to worship in truth "the Law" must be followed.

 IAMIAM has cared for and known the Jewish people for centuries and they have known him in the "Law" that governs their lives. The Chief Priests, Scribes, Pharisees and many ordinary Jews were people who had lived with pride in the "Divine Shield" that was revealed by their prophets and professed in their Temple Worship and by following the Law. 

Jesus of Nazareth is much more than a prophet. He was killed in Jerusalem, as were many of the prophets, by the people to whom he was showing in "real time" the completed meaning of the relationship IAMIAM has not only with Jews but with all mankind. 

The Resurrection of Jesus is the event that is for ever the revealed being of God, IAMIAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT with us to the end of time and nothing can be added or taken away from the eternal truth.

St Paul challenged the Galatians; "You must be mad!" and I too cannot understand but not ignore the events during my life-time in the Middle-East beginning with the terrorist attacks that were the prologue to the State of Israel to the nonsense  of a former Prime-Minister claiming that his foolhardy attacks on "nuclear facilities" in Syria were made to protect the World. 

They must be mad! It does seem that the devilish irrationality of the Nazis lives on in the hearts of the recipients of their hatred that is certainly not love, and nothing like the words of today's psalm.

"Blessed be the God of Israel he has visited his people and redeemed them, he has raised up for us a mighty saviour in the House of David, his prophet as he promised through the lips of holy men, those who were his prophets from of old."

There are millions of us throughout the world who will have completely different reactions to the news seen on their TVs as each one of has to learn for himself that "Thou shalt not kill" cannot be viewed as a sliding scale and that our Saviour experienced the finality of death and yet liveth to bring the grace of God even into the hearts of those killers who view their own violence as righteous anger and those whose pride in self-hood resists the Grace of God as successfully as did their forbears totally deny Christ and their modern Iron Shield resists the missiles of the their enemies,

Dear Lord, You know whether or not, I am being able to to view "the signs of these times" without condemning anyone who lives in your Love. Violence is not according to thy will on Earth. The parents of my generation resisted Hitler but not without cynically choosing to wipe out hundreds of lives by blanket bombing residential areas of German cities. All sins can be forgiven even during our lifetimes  if  we turn to you in repentance with a sincere desire for atonement.  May all the Saints in heaven, especially today Denis, John and Paulinus pray together with the Queen of Heaven and all Angels and Saints that the leaders and servants of death on earth accept the forgiveness that is always being offered by Your Eternal Love that creates but never destroys. May we sinners on Earth, together with the Holy Souls who can sin no more, always accept your will and never stupidly choose to follow princes of this world into the pain of  nothingness that so many are facing at this moment as our bodies are broken by the enemy of life who is always on the sidelines, sniggering at how easy it is for him to mock God by captivating the will of mankind.

Today's Saint is John Henry Cardinal Newman. A long name  that has to be now prefixed with St. It is a name that was a "kindly light to lead thou me on" for most adherents of the Catholic Faith in my parents' generation. He is a person of whom I have shallow knowledge but in his lifetime he was known to millions in both his own country and the Empire which was confident then in its unassailable power and in its own version of living according to the will of God.

It does not seem possible now that an Anglican becoming Catholic was of any interest to anybody other than his own family and congregation, it seems impossible that a true scholar could have published so many, at their time, best-selling books. Today his works for the most part can be found neglected in Presbyteries and Vicarages mainly in the  English Speaking ex-colonies of the British Empire.

Before I knew that ST.JHCN was the human focus for today's mass, as I was opening my computer a headline caught my eye. "How the Catholic Church built Western Europe". It is undoubtedly true that after the decline of the Roman Empire the dedicated monks largely following the Rule of St Benedict were the ones who promoted the non-military, reading, writing and thinking on which is based all of our knowledge. Books were produced out of long hours of standing to copy manuscripts and to prepare the vellum on which they were copied.

The Synod that is meeting today is an outcome of the millions of hours of physical labour that produced the continuity of human knowledge which all the "learned and the clever" of this world have acquired and access at the click of a mouse. On this screen where my words are now appearing, I can  now read the thought and beliefs of men living in the Middle-East even before Abraham, the Sophistication of India and the Wisdom of China. 

This is probably why our Lord warned about the "learned and the clever" and told us unequivocally that he reveals everything  that is the creative purpose of IAMFATHERSONhOLYSPIRIT for us. This purpose has never included killing the defenceless at either the beginning or end of life, killing in the name of God, killing to take possession of land. 

"Killing" is the total antithesis to "Love" and cannot be tolerated either in the first Chosen People of the revealed IAM or the Friends of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT who have somehow lost sight of their reason for being in the Worldly Institution that has helped to build Civilization but not lived true to the reverential awe that is the only response to the Love poured out by Five Holy Wounds and true human death on Calvary.

Dear Lord help me be open to your Grace and know that with it to support me nothing that is  contrary to your will can take over my life as it has done in the past. Help me to think clearly and avoid all self-concern that occludes my vision of what awaits my soul when my body dies and that this consciousness of self has to face you in the reality of mind and soul which could be the same being. May Mary, who is with you as the only other glorified body in heaven, implore you to help us still on earth to know and respond to your will for us. May she and all angels, all saints and today's St John continue to plead for us sinners on earth and for the Holy Souls that are confident in that their punishment, together with your Grace will secure the forgiveness for the guilt that they truly repent for having accrued in their lifetimes. Help the "learned and the clever" to accept that your love is child-like simplicity but never childish self centredness. May you FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT hear and accept this prayer of my heart. Amen.

Jesus makes it known for all time that becoming entangled by the physical necessities of life is a lesser part of doing his will on Earth than being at his feet in prayer. Martha is not wrong in taking care of her guests but if we have a choice we must put being with God before taking care of our bodies.

We all do have a choice and those who do consecrate their whole beings to God on this Earth have no need at all of the "restaurant quality" food that I have eaten as a guest at a monastery table. Those who have taken a vow of "Poverty" should live as an example of God's Truth in the world and follow their own promise to stay in one place and make their daily lives the prayer that is doing as did Mary, sitting at the feet of the Lord and loving him.

Yet again I hear "responsorial cries" of "Simplistic" from those comfortably discussing how to maintain the place of the Institutional Church on the "Synodal Path". These are the Gyrovagi, what a lovely word, the wandering monks that are always ready to speak, anywhere in the world about how they devote their lives to their own notions of the "Good", in many cases religious minds have been shaped by human philosophy, have left the airport lounges to become stable in Rome for the duration of of this gathering of Clerical Overseers.

Jesus lifetime on earth was spent in withstanding temptation and becoming the exemplar by word and deed of how we are to use the grace that was to bring the world out of the backsliding that his "Chosen Ones" are still unable to avoid.

The problem, for me, however is that the hypocrisy condemned by Jesus has never been far from Institutional Christianity, Papal, Orthodox or Protestant in that all versions of the Good News are concealed by Mammon as the denominations  are all property owners in this world and as diligent as Martha at worldly, i.e. domestic tasks .

I try to avoid these negative sentiments as much as I can as I  know that Jesus is always present even in the hearts that sometimes vest themselves in the Cappa Magna that obviously stupid sign of worldly authority that together with the Papal Tiara have never had a true place in the Church of the  FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT who so humbled himself, as to become man and accept the death common to us all, even to the extent of making his own, the ultimate agony of death on the cross.

Dear Lord, There is nothing that we can do in life that is so pleasing to you as to sit and know you are present in this world with us who accept the grace to sit at your feet. I pray we are not the learned or the clever for their intelligence is a sometimes overwhelming source of pride, but that we can be those whose  hearts are in no way childish but of the childlike maturity that can believe what we say "thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven." We must all pray for the Jews that they whose history is so intermingled with your revelation of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT can finally forget the worldliness that causes us all to sin and accept that the Holy Spirit of the Father did beget Jesus in the womb of Mary of Nazareth and become the Emmanuel of the prophets, the Glory revealed to Abraham, to Moses and all the prophets but still being sullied by both their physical and spiritual descendants even as I type these Words. May my prayers be joined to those of Mary and all the Saints that those meeting in Rome are all open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that we can all find the forgiveness promised to us and that we all cooperate to do your will in this life so that we can be happy in the next. I know as does St Paul, that there is only one version of the "Good News". I also know that there is also only one version of the "I" that I am. I am responsible to live my life in accordance with the will of the Father who has revealed to each one of us in the image and likeness that is our being, the gift of life which unfolds us into reality every second that we live. 

We are always the same soul that God creates for us at the moment we begin to live in our mothers' wombs until we face the Justice and Mercy, of which there is also only one version, at our deaths.

There are billions of us who receive the gift of life and the freedom that accompanies it. Each one of us  is restricted by the culture in which we are educated into adulthood in one of the very many versions of human being that exist. St Paul is disappointed in how quickly the "Good News" he brought to the Galatians has been changed by other Jews who refuse to believe that the Jesus whom their fellows executed taught anything that was not based in their culture, the Law. 

St Paul, however, has been sandblasted clean of all cultic accretions and reflects with his whole being the light of the Good News. There is only one version of God and Jesus who dies on the cross is the only begotten Son of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT the unique, all powerful one God.

It doesn't take very long to read the New Testament and learn that there are many who witnessed the important events of God's Presence in time, but there is only one human, Theotokos, who was there from Annunciation to Descent of the Holy Spirit. Mary is the human partner who accepts Salvation on our behalf and who ceaselessly implores the Lord to continue to envelop us in his loving mercy purchased at a much higher price than two denarii.

In the Rosary, today's feast, we are continually reminded that God was present living through the same "time" that is our inescapable background for living and that the mystical events that are his being were enacted out in the reality of that land of unending pain and revenge where once was born, lived, died and resurrected the Son of God to become the perfect image, of how we too are to live out our lives in God's peace as "Good Samaritans" in the reality of our daily living.

Dear Lord, help me to become what it is that you want me to be. Help me to lose all traces of pride and to accept the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These words are shaped by my mind but I pray that their inspiration is in my soul which has uncluttered the "way" for me. Let this day become for me a sinless journey to complete my life guided by you and your mother who ceaselessly leads, as Queen of Heaven, all the angels and Saints in their praise of you and pleas for forgiveness for all sinners here on earth and for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen

Reading the readings for mass each morning opens my soul to the Word of God and is also "interesting"for its own sake. The difficulties for early Christians are mentioned here in "passing" as it were. Timothy an adult? has undergone circmuscision probably at the hands of St Paul. St Paul grows in Faith and later agrees that the Law of Moses, which he knew so well and loved, is no longer necessary for believers. After Lystra did St Paul preach on his journey to Troy? All the places mentioned were in the Roman Province of Asia but he turned back at Bythnia which was a separate province on its own.

Jesus brings salvation to the World; our sins are forgiven by the Love that is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The suffering on the three days before resurrecton are the horror undergone by God to eliminate the sin brought into the Good Creation by Adam. The Creation and Jesus' 33 years are in our time but God is not affected by this for him everything is the Eternal Now. Jesus tells us that the "world" hates him and us who are his believers. We have to accept and strive to understand his teaching. We are opposed to war, fornication, thievery, blasphemy and sin of any kind. We must accept that the "world" rejects the Word and for this reason we must not be deterred by the hatred shown to us for striving to belong to God.

There have been and still are many of us who become satisfied with our own version of scriptural revelation and can always seek and "find" ways there to forgive and justify our personal sins. Sin is always personal for it confronts and denies FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT the supreme being who in his infinitude knows each of his creation as the individual persons that are we all.

Jesus has no need to "explain" his authority for he is SON, the Word, and teaches us "the indisputable way" that we can follow to become the human being that is in the mind of God and to which we can aspire in our lifetimes in creation.

 But, in the Gospel reading for today,  Jesus suggests that God's Law can be adjusted to suit the capabilities of the persons receiving it, that is why Moses allowed for "divorce" in the "Law" that was to rule the People of God. 

God can be thus said to be responding to the "signs of the times". I have no doubt that this will become for some participants in the "Synod" a way to present their own solutions to life's problems as being approved by God, as it always has been for we sinners when we strive to escape the light of God's Truth.

An undoubted "sign of these times, 2024," is the ability to control or assist the natural fecundity which we share with all mammals. The "Joy" of sex is not the purpose for which we are all "Male or Female".

There are many for whom the "Sin of Adam" has not only damaged souls but also their material bodies. After the water into wine "the signs of Emmanuel" are  "the blind receive sight, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the dead are raised to life and the poor have the Gospel preached to them".

Jesus, the best news ever, tells us that to do the will of "Our Father" we first of all have to put aside all prideful entrapments in self and acknowledge that way, way beyond us and yet as close to us as our own souls are to our bodies is "Father". Then we have to ask for his care in our present material world to enable us to recognise and seek forgiveness for sin which will itself enable us to put others before ourselves.

May the Church dignitaries engaged today, in discussion about themselves and their institution never forget that the "Chosen People" are still today disputing with God in their deadly acts perpetrated on their neighbours and that the Son of God, in his humanity himself a Jew, saves first of all, those broken in body and in mind and that it is only as "simpletons in the eyes of the wise" that we can find the humility that paves  each person's road back to IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT who is still bleeding Mercy onto an unthankful world.

Dear Lord, May your Mercy shower down as do the rose petals imagined by St Therese. May the words taught us by Jesus become engraved into our being. May the family unity of Mary and John continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that even the RC institution can be inspired by the children of the "New Holy Family" within her and avoid the way of Mammon that she has so often pursued in her place in the worldly entanglements which have meant more to Popes, Patriarchs, Prelates and Priests than your public declaration before Pilate, "My Kingdom is not of this world" and private counsel to the rich young man  "Sell all that you own and give to the poor". May our sins be forgiven as you look with mercy on the souls in Purgatory and may Holy Spirit sort out your enemies even as their "wisdom" is being displayed in Rome as I write this. I believe that the total mess that is sinful mankind can only fulfill your will when each one of us listens for the quiet voice that is the Holy Spirit touching us with your Grace. Help us to recognise that Palestine where you walked and taught is for each human being the "forever sign of the times", the sign of the cross. Amen, come Lord Jesus, come.

Yesterday I did try to read the Book of Job. I knew what I was trying to do as I struggled to maintain interest. 

Today Jesus thanks God that his revelation does not require the wisdom of the "learned and the clever", "the Scribes and the Pharisees" to be accepted. St Paul did not manage to inspire the elite Athenian scholars of his day but he did convert the humble textile workers and dye makers. St Francis did not talk or write about the "Word of God", he searched for it, obeyed and followed it to the end of life.

Jesus, Paul and Francis. Three servants of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

Jesus is man by choice. A choice that it is impossible for us to comprehend. The creator puts himself at the mercy of his creation. He accepts life on Earth and faces the sinful inhumanity of man.

Saul is one of "the learned and the clever". His learning tells him that the rabble in the Portico of Solomon are "blasphemers" The blinded persecutor is chosen to open the eyes of the world to the Light of Christ

Francis is born into a world of privilege. Standing naked he declared his intention to abandon his birthright, his patrimony and become a child of God.

Each one of us has also shared the naked poverty of Jesus' birth, the straitjacket of culture that God ripped off St Paul and the effects of wealth that oppressed St Francis and still oppresses us and the Church.

During the lifetimes of our last 5/6 popes great evil, both public and private, has flourished in our world and simultaneously there has been a flourishing of  "the learned and the clever" in Monasteries and Universities.

Where do we find God in this modern world?

There is no "Christian" since the 4th century who has not heard "Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church". We have also all heard the similitude about the camel and the eye of a needle and the words of this morning's Gospel "I bless you Father for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children" many, many times.

Our Churches are losing "children" both literally and figuratively and the buildings are as near empty as are the hearts of many pastors.

There can be no Synodal, "journeying together on the way, truth and life" for the Institution which has been enslaved for centuries by the "Patrimony of St Peter" until all the wealth that has been acquired is completely abandoned. 

"Mere children" are "simplistic" as are all the friends of Jesus.

Dear Lord, Help us all to "put on love" to be the armour to guard us from Mammon which has never been vanquished in the centuries since you lived among us. The materialism of "patrimony" is still choking the Holy Spirit at the seat of your foundation on St Peter. The Church of the Spirit to be shared by John and your mother can still exist in the hearts of all who are open to receive the never ending grace which you poured out with your blood on Calvary. You shocked Saul into Apostleship. I ask that you do the same to those convening to talk about "Church" and let there be a new light unmixed with egoism that shines out from the Synod. Wow!! Please shock us all. Maranatha, come Lord Jesus come!!

I am always made aware when I read the mass readings each morning that I do not know the scriptures as fully as I need to. I really do not know much at all about the Book of Job except that it is a later composition than the era in which its protagonist "lived". Today's passage proclaims the ever-greatness of God that we see in the material of our Universe. 

Since the days of Job, mankind's knowledge of and ability to manipulate "body" has grown to the extent that the invisible particles of matter and the composition of living bodies is not only known but can be reproduced to the extent that living plants and animals can be cloned as exact living replicas. We believers will certainly very soon have to face the fact of human cloning which I am sure is happening already but under watertight conditions of security.

Today's Saint, Francis was able to do what many of us would have liked to do; he accepted Jesus' command and naked as the day he was born, in complete human freedom he announced his intention to follow wherever the Providence of God led, which in his case, was to the extent of proclaiming Jesus to the Fatimid Calif of all Moslems before his court in Cairo.

There have been very few of us who have lived in the same sanctity as St. Francis. 

For the Early Church Jewish devotion to the "law" was the source of much quarrelling which continued even after the first century and the martyrdoms of James, Peter and Paul. In the world of St Francis the Church founded on St Peter both in Rome and Constantinople was a "kingdom of this world" and those who managed to follow Christ did so in spite of rather than with the support of the Institutional Hierarchy. "Holy Poverty " and Jesus' words in private to the rich young man, and public declaration before Pilate was a source of dissension and anathema to the Bishops who ruled as did all Feudal Lords.

Our Bishops of today are engaged in discussions regard "Synodality".  They are in other words rearranging the deckchairs after hitting the iceberg. They will only be able to lead us on the path that leads to Jesus when they sit down to seriously discuss how they are to divest their Church of all its wealth so that it can stand in naked honesty, as did St Francis" before all its family and friends and truly become complete as was he with the five Holy Wounds, the "Body of Christ on Earth". 

Dear Lord, Let me continue to be open to your grace that forgives sins and supports my search for truth. Our Lady and all the Saints welcomed the Sanctity of St Francis and supported his delight in God's creation even of the inanimate celestial bodies which dominate night and day and of all plants and animals. Forgive the pride of the humanity that is always seeking to contradict or outdo your creation and let more of us speak out in condemnation of the attitude which denies you by shouting "My body; I will do what I like with it". That is the attitude of those pressing buttons and pulling triggers at this moment. I am responsible for my own sins and humbly seek your pardon in the hope that one day I will be able to join Francis, our mother, Mary and all the Angels and Saints in Eternity which is the heavenly now.  The seventy-two are commissioned to continue the preparatory work started by John. They are to announce "The Kingdom of God". They are to do this by curing the sick as the sign that they are human messengers of God's will and what they are learning from Jesus. They tell this to their own countrymen. They are Jews preaching to Jews.

We do not know any details of the outcomes of their missions except that we  have  interpretated this action as Jesus' acceptance and call to some of us to spread knowledge of  the Truth that is revealed by IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT. We see the Apostles and these seventy-two as the nucleus of and justification for the hierarchical structure of the Church we know to have existed for the two thousand years since then.

We have to ask what was the "Kingdom" they were to announce. Their arrival with a  total lack of possessions showed that they had a complete faith in the providence of God. They only knew that Jesus could cure the longtime sick, restore sight to the blind and enable cripples to walk again and that they hoped he was the one "to restore the kingdom to Israel". They knew nothing of Calvary and the Resurrection which are the source of the faith that remains in this world and without which Jesus would be just another prophet of Israel.

We cannot know God except by his revelation of himself. Moses knew that IAMIAM is not an imaginary being. Prophets have been inspired, but Jesus, son of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, is the "rich harvest" that is the living free-gift of God and we are all obliged to become harvesters for ourselves of this Loving Mercy by choosing to make "thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven" our one Law that is never broken.

Dear Lord, You know that I am struggling this morning. I do not want to make my morning prayer an occasion of sin by being pleased with myself.  I know that I am sincere in my thoughts and do not want to think badly of the Church you founded in poverty to keep ourselves out of the clutches of Mammon. You had to finally correct your chosen people whom you favoured for centuries. The crucified Christ is not proclaimed by the wealth of the Church that has been accumulated while millions starved. Help us all to accept your free-gift of Love and join our prayers on earth with those of Mary and all the Angels and Saints in praise of your Glory and plead for an ending to all the pain and suffering caused by the total sum of our personal failures to do your will. May our sins and those of the Holy Souls be forgiven as we open our sinful hearts to receive your Love. Amen

Yesterday I was rather overcome by the continuing improvement in the health of our dog. God knows that I am truly grateful that my prayers were answered.

Today the Church is celebrating the total opposite of the "soulless" creatures that can fill our hearts with love. Angels are bodiless totally spirit beings that sometimes bring God's Word to us. Their bodiless pure spiritual being can be imagined by our minds but they do not inspire the warmth of human love as do other creatures.

They are beyond our ability to know except when FatherSonHolySpirit sends them to confirm his will to chosen ones. We can be sure that such unseen beings exist for in today's Gospel Jesus assures us that each "child" has a "Guardian Angel" who is always near to both FatherSonHolySpirit and the human soul that they try to guide along the right paths of life.

Job is still confounded by "being" he knows that he is alive and that there is an unseen power, far greater than he is, who can bring all his endeavours to find peace in life to nothingness. The Psalmist sings to the Lord. He knows that God is not his enemy but the Almighty Power that knows him and that can answer prayers in the land of the living.

Jesus is very much in the land of the living. In fact he is the perfect man who is the also the Almighty IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT. His is the same humanity as Job and David, his DNA reveals the same evolutionary track as does our own. But he is sinless and can thus become the perfect sacrifice to take away the sin of the world. He is totally free mankind as God envisaged us all to be.

Dear Lord, you know that I am loth to look at the "news" on this machine this morning as I expect that the same stories of evil being perpetrated throughout the world will still be there. The "land of the living" becomes the land of death for thousands of us still engaged in the slaughter that your Old Testament records was first begun in your Name. Yours is the world and all that is in it, but our freedom continues to "lead us into temptation" and subsequent evil. I am not Job nor gifted with his honest perseverance. I cannot sing as did David. I can follow the path first walked by Jesus because I have been open to your Loving Mercy and his Sacrifice is more than sufficient to save an infinite number of worlds. Please send the countless legions of Angels that Jesus told Pilate were at his disposal and fill the heart of world, Jerusalem and the land you walked with a spiritual boundary that can stop killing and reveal, yet again, your power to sinless men. Caring for your creation is a task that is beyond our capabilities. May Mary and all the Angels and Saints plead for us that we resist Mammon and Satan and use the boundless Love that you poured out for us to live no more in the acceptance of personal sin that builds up to become the hate that so many have accepted into our hearts. May all those dying at this moment together with the Holy Souls receive the boundless Mercy and Love that is your being. God forgive us all. Maranatha, please return soon. Amen

Today I know that I am still alive as was Job; but I know that I have been answered by FatherSonHolySpirit and the tiny created soulless creature that is our dog will live out his natural time to warm our hearts with the selfless love that is generated by his innocence. 

"Love" is a word that we often use without thought. It is a mainstay of song writers who sometimes hit on a line that has the same "Truth" as taught by his Jesus and his Apostles.  "All you need is Love, Love is all you need" could be an intentional paraphrase of St Paul's "over all put on Love" in his letter to the Colossians. The tune, composed by a different Paul, cements the words into our minds. Yesterday Jesus told us that "Truth" is not a monopoly of his twelve Apostles.

G.K. Chesterton in the person of Father Brown once warned us  that the sentiment that is generated by our companion animals should not take the place of the reverse spelling of "dog". Of course he was right. I am aware that the weight of  the recovery of a dog is nothing in proportion to the slaughter being perpetrated by humans all over the globe. God helped me. Surely the deaths happening as I write these words are much more deserving of attention than I am but I can still have to respond to God's loving kindness to me for his Love is limitless.

We, all of us, are known to "Our Father". Jesus told us that every living thing plant and animal is known in the infinite mind of God. Throughout history there is nothing that is too small for it to have escaped the attention of God, even I am known by him. All the artificial greatness, Empires, Art, Institutions, Science to be found in this world are the work of men who in their pride have largely forgotten that they are created to do the will of Our Father.

St Therese never forgot this and by her short and painful life, which she lived out without ever uttering Job's "I curse the day that I was born" or ever blaming God for her disease, she proves that to confound the great God really does choose the poor and the weak. "Showers of roses" may seem a childishly simple and sentimental image of Divine Mercy but for her "Little way" they are far more real than all the great churches in which her memory will  be venerated today.

Dear Lord, You know that it is your Mercy that is needed more than ever by our World. I know that we cannot expect more than you have already done for us. Sins are forgiven, the sick are cured, the lame can walk again but many of us are still possessed by the pride that excludes you the Truth from our lives. Jesus has completed your Revelation; we know that each one of has to live in support of others and that all we possess and are has to be as devoted as is Jesus to our fellow human beings, our neighbours. May the prayers of all the peoples of Earth, Heaven and Purgatory be united and become the way, truth and life that brings all sinners to accept the St Therese' "shower of roses", as the fragrance of our final home with Mary, John and all the Saints in your eternal presence. Amen
