Friday week 25 Ordinary Time

I hope that I can truly pray today with my mind and heart open to the inspiration of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRT. Help me to be a soul obedient to do your will even if only for the brief spell of time that I can bear the awareness of Your Ever-greater Glory.

The Liturgical Scriptures for today cover thousands of years of human time through which millions of we humans have struggled to do your will and worship you. It seems to me that in the Old Testament your Chosen People  were aware of your real presence for you really did lead them into the Promised Land. You rewarded their obedience and punished their transgressions in this world in ways that could not be doubted that you were the direct cause. You, our Creator, continued to act in human time and directly showed your power in the material reality that is still this world.

WE Christians continue to pray "thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven" but your Incarnation has poured out your Loving Mercy as unseen Grace to ensure that each one of us has to accept that spiritual gift  and  take personal responsibility for the care of our own souls. We are all fully formed human beings and it is only in personal holiness that we can bear witness to IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and this holiness can only be received when prayed for directly to You the One Source.

Help me to pray that the sinfulness of this beautiful world can be overcome by each one of us returning to Our Father the Love that is beyond all understanding yet is the firm foundation of all being. In today's Gospel you made it quite clear to your Apostles that it is each one of us that has to respond in personal prayer to your call to us just as you did to the Father during your life on earth. 

On Calvary you completed our education teaching us that we cannot avoid physical pain as we seek the forgiveness that only comes from the Way, Truth and Life. Jesus is never false. "My kingdom is not of this world" is the warning that has not yet been heeded and thus there has never been a truly "Christian Generation" to ensure that Jesus' role to banish sin from the Universe is fulfilled in Real Time.

There has been far too much evil perpetrated in the world since "Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church" for anyone to believe in the "Power of the keys" as a source of holiness and guarantee of salvation. Peter knew this as he asked "What of this man?". Death has always been the end of life in this world but we have all been created to become joyful and eternal witnesses to the wonder of divine power and love. 

Before the final pain of death Jesus looked at Mary and then at John and created the Mystical Church of Love that has never and can never be corrupted by the things of this world. It is held together by the True Man and True God, Mystical Body of Christ whose humanity followed the full course of human development from fertilised egg to viable infant in the body of the very Theotekos who still ponders in her heart the Greatness of God and continues to fight against the forces of evil that still seem to be victorious in this world which was 2000 years ago left in the care of "Peter" to await the second coming.

Jesus cannot lie. "I will be with you always even till the end of time".

I have been alive for more than 80 years and know that I still have to fight all the wonders of this world, the environment and culture into which I was born, if I am to live as Jesus taught us by his words and deeds.

Mankind has so wonderfully made use of physical matter that I am able to use this machine to, as it were, turn back time and observe real people still living via "Persian Nomad YouTube" today the same sorts of life as were the peasants of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes in first reading.

Even without electricity, I can open books, and read how the first generation of Christians adapted their understandings to accept the the "Good News" that "IAMIAM" had revealed himself to be "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" and had in his incarnate life taught that we all have to prepare ourselves for Death and Resurrection which he shared as True Man with us.

Most of us who are living today are cushioned in a "cloud cuckoo land" of materialism and we refuse to even consider that the revelations of the Bible have life-giving significance. 

Adam and Eve brought sin into the world, the Jews although guided through the prophets could not escape the then primitive joys of materialism and even though, thousands of martyrs followed Jesus to public execution, the Church he founded on Peter soon became entangled in the same Materialism that still keeps so many of us from becoming "My mother, my brothers, my sisters, those who hear the word of God and do it", the New Holy Family of God confirmed by Jesus' words from the cross to Mary and John.

Our Lady of Sorrows

God knows that, although I have not recorded my prayers and meditations recently, I have still tried to focus my being on doing His will in this world as I grow towards the completion of my life and departure from it.

I am sure that the Incarnation was God's response to the sinfulness with which the "Chosen People" had failed to accept the revelations made through the Prophets of the Old Testament. Jesus' Beatitudes are a re-focusing statement of the Ten Commandments. His acceptance of his completely human, life death and burial is the unique example in human time, an historical event, to be followed to fulfill God's will for each one of us during our own lifetimes.

Jesus proclaimed and proved by his personal sacrifice that IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT is loving and merciful. "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". He condemned only those who deliberately refused to accept his teaching and Godhead "Woe to you Chorazin etc". The only  individuals condemned by personal sin, however, are the "Whited Sepulchres".

I have thus had to ask myself repeatedly over my lifetime whether I have ever really been truly sincerly committed to the Faith into which, by the Providence of God I was born but only recently, during the last 15 years or so, have I become as doubtful about the history and the present-day truth of the Church itself, founded on St Peter, as I am today.

In "human time", two thousand years ago, the Priestly Scribes and Pharisees condemned by Jesus, those who conspired with the pagan Romans believed that they were being faithful to IAMIAM, as still do their descendant Rabbis. God, however, cannot be deceived and chose conception in the womb of the Virgin Mary and human life and death for himself, to become Incarnate Resurrection as the only way for the sin introduced by Adam & Eve to be eliminated from creation.

Jesus has promised in the New Testament that he will be with us  even to the "end of time". It is thus difficult to cast doubts onto the authenticity of  Institutional Christianity but the Gospel reading for today's feast celebrating the Seven Sorrows of his mother, reminds us that during his preceding trial the now crucified, dying Son of God had declared unequivocally to his Roman judge, "My kingdom is not of this world, if it were my followers would fight".

We can still be certain in our Faith in our loving Saviour because the Institutional Church of the "Pornocracy, Triple Tiara, and perennial clerical sexual abuse" has always been counterweighted by the Mystical Church of Love, the New Holy Family instituted directly from the Cross "Woman behold your Son. Then he turned to the disciple. Behold your mother".

This is the never-ending purely, spiritual "Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting" in which I  believe and thank God that I can know that he is always with me. Amen

Dear Lord, help me to become completely honest and learn how to return Your Love beyond the best of my ability. May I never be closed to the Grace with which you respond to the prayers of Mary and all the angels and saints. Forgive me my sins and help me share the light of faith with my family and anybody who may come to read this before or after my death. Amen.

Wednesday of Week 23 in Ordinary Time

In today's first mass-reading St Paul writes to the community of believers based in Colossae, another city close to the Ephesus of St John and Our Lady, as was nearby Laodicea. It is only some thirty years since the Resurrection and less than that since he was called to announce the Good News, but he is now detained in Rome more than a thousand miles away by land, awaiting an audience with Nero. 

To be able to do "God's Will on Earth as it is Heaven" we too have to set our minds on things that are above and reject all that is worldly. We pray for the needs of each day and most importantly of all we have to avoid all that could lead us into sin.

Everything that Paul preached about Christ he had learnt, as do we, from the Apostles and Evangelists. He had been through the action of Providence, however, a devoted servant of IAMIAM, a scholar and follower of the Law and even after his personal Epiphany which had blinded him into the pure light of faith in the risen Lord he remained a Jew.

Yesterday I heard on TV another Jew declaring that Jews are to be treated by the whole world as if they were the supreme rulers of mankind. 

Everything that God has revealed about himself to mankind has been revealed through Jews. IAMIAM chose to become a Jew in the humanity in which he sacrificed himself on the Cross. I am a Christian and know that Our Lord and his Mother and most of his first disciples are forever Jews but also know that the Incarnate Son stretched out his arms on the cross to save all the races of the world. 

After, the life, death and Resurrection there is not "Greek, and Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free. But Christ is all in all".

When Paul wrote his letter to the Colossians these words were true and, even though they have been largely ignored by the deeds of men throughout the centuries, they are still as true as "My kingdom is not of this world", also largely ignored, declared thirty years prior to this letter, at his trial before Pilate by Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Mary.

Dear Lord, help us all to listen and take into our hearts your words of Love for it is only by each of us avoiding sin that the evils that disfigure past time can be avoided creating more hate-filled history today to be confronted by our descendants. Your Mercy can forgive all human errors but you did warn us that we can commit an unpardonable sin. We cannot accuse God of responsibility for our sins!

Tuesday Week 23 Ordinary Time

St Paul lived in the first generation of mankind that had had the significance of human life demonstrated for us in real time. The "we" who are living now have still nothing more reliable to guide us on our way through the mystery of life than did they who lived and died 2000 years ago.

Just as did the Colossians, we too have to "see to it" that in "This World" we are not enthralled by human opinions and natural instincts that lead us away from the salvation that is ours only when we continue to live fully human lives exactly as Jesus showed us how.

Our Baptism has cut out original sin from our souls but we have to remember in our freedom that Christ works within us and it is each one of us for himself who has to consciously "walk, rooted and built up and established in faith abounding in thanksgiving".

St Luke's Gospel recalls what he had learnt from the Apostles about the event when Jesus had chosen and revealed them in the time of "This World". 

The Apostles are named but an anonymous multitude stands in awe before the Lord worshipping Him out of whom comes forth power to heal them all. How many generations of us have lived since that day? 

How many times have I rejected the healing grace won "in bitter pain" for me by my brother and my God?

Dear Lord, may I become firm of faith and thus avoid all sin. Let my prayers become united with those of Mary and all the Saints as we wait for the "Last Things" that have been promised on your return. Amen. Maranatha, Lord, Jesus Come.

There is no doubt that somewhere in the world today efforts are being made to clone a human body.

 Perhaps there has already been a successful outcome. Even that unnaturally parentless individual's body, if he exists, however, has been determined by manipulated DNA.

For many families and cultures Human Genealogy (physical result of DNA) is still as important today as it was in the semitic culture within which IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT chose to live in This World. Ancestors have to be known by name as they are the essential part of each of us and it could be said that DNA is the first thing that we possess in This World.

"Anyone who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple"

The genealogies in Luke and Matthew are  confirmation of the human reality of Jesus' body and soul. He is true man;

"Conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, 

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. 

He descended into Hell.  

On the third day he rose again and ascended into Heaven, whence he will come to judge the living and the dead."

The prologue to John's Gospel confirms that with Jesus "there is always something greater here". He is also true God.

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God".

Today the Church celebrates the birthday of Mary who although completely human remains with all the angels and saints as the sinless Mother of Our Lord, chosen to share with her Son in the salvation of the world.

Dear Lord, help us all to accept the grace that Mary leads all the saints in distributing throughout "This World". Help us all to break the power of Satan that is the self-absorption, the source of all the sins of mankind.

Sunday Week 23 Ordinary Time

Today's Gospel records that Jesus tells us that to be his disciples we have to  "hate" all  created beings including ourselves.

It is easy for me to "hate" myself for I know that I am a pretty useless person who has never been able to retain the grace that the Crucifixion spread throughout the being that each of us receives and shares as "image and likeness".

"To hate" family, friends, the beauty of creation, however, is a totally different matter.

St Luke tells us  that Jesus interpreted his own "Hard Saying" with two similitudes which soften the force of the word "hate" but he still leaves us with the stark instruction to resist being overcome by what we have received from his providence in this world. 

In my case, I am quite happy to have been born into the "This World", the England that was resisting the German assault on Europe that we call World-War 2. "This world" in the UK became a joyful place in 1945. 

I have often wondered what Pope Benedict could have felt about his own Germanic Heritage as he wrote his seriously deep reflections on "The Life of Christ". As he wrote "Eschatology", did he remember Bavarian Dachau or his own Anti-aircraft gun?

Hans Urs von Balthasar had an extremely comfortable "This World" provided for him at birth and his pride at the historical accomplishments of German Aristocratic Art and Philosophy was no less than that of Wagner. In one of his sermons he speaks of the Swiss nation as being entrusted by "This World" to care for its gold. He does not condemn or refuse the evil results of Swiss "This Worldly" Secrecy.

At the end of the Old Testament, something was seriously wrong with the implementation in  "This World" of God's Word by His Chosen People. It was so wrong that it could only be rectified by the Incarnation. 

Since then there have been many times that the Church founded on St Peter seems to have acted in "This World" every bit as hypocritically as was the Temple of the Priests, Scribes and Pharisees acting when condemned by Jesus. We, however, in 2025 have had God's completed revelation with us for 2000 years now. There is nothing greater that can be done to bring us closer to Our Father than has already been completed on Calvary. 

Dear Lord, help each of us to hold onto your Word and with the aid of Mary and all the saints may the Church of Peter become  divested of all worldly entanglements. We receive your gifts to enable us to distribute them. Help us to disperse all patrimony and open our hearts to receive the Love, "woman behold your son, son behold your mother" created as the New Holy Family" by you from the cross.

Saturday Week 22 Ordinary Time

Our world and all that is in it is because God, self-revealed as IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, exists, which is enough, but he also chooses to celebrate his own super-abundance of eternal being with the creation of other similarly free beings, image and likeness, who can make their own choice to recognise or refuse his Love.

"This World" of matter, the Universe, vast though it is, is totally limited and can be completely analysed and predicted. It has no freedom. This is true also of living matter. But "i am" different than anything else in This World. All we "iams" of This World are unique "images and likenesses" created by and to share the loving freedom of the Supreme Power who is beyond all human knowledge but who chooses to know and be known by each one of us as "Our Father".

Each one of us is able to respond in loving obedience to the love that is God. All the obvious evil that has ever been and is undoubtedly still being perpetrated as I write this is a result of choices and actions  performed by all of us, me and you, my brothers and sisters, living and dead that have not conformed to the will of God.

Dear Lord, forgive me for my sins and for the sinfulness in which we your beloved children have continued to disfigure your creation even though it is 2000 years since Jesus made the perfect sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and taught us how to do your will on earth as it is done in heaven.

Friday week 22 Ordinary Time

I am always aware that I have to be prepared for the moment that I die. 

The total purpose of these my thoughts and prayers recorded  here on blogger are a result of the belief that "this world" where I now am is not my permanent home and that all of the humanity of which I am one tiny speck also has to accept that for each speck "time will run its course".

Over the last couple of years I have been trying to be a Christian, a body, mind and soul that has decided to believe wholeheartedly the words and teachings contained in the Old and New Testaments and to conform my behaviour to the "holiness" that is the Spiritual being of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and lived to perfection only by Jesus and his mother as recorded in the Gospels.

I am awake for about 20 hours each day. I rarely need more than 5 hours to keep myself alive but spend most of the remaining 15 hours in mindless lethargy with the TV.

And yet, I am not fooling myself when I claim to be "always aware that I have to be prepared for the moment that I die".

I am sure that I was not prepared for the moment that I was born. Only our mothers know the gestation and pain that is giving birth to the babies that first fill them with love and then ???

God in his providence chose that each of us should be born into this world at the moment each one of us was. At our births we are all free beings within the worldly, families, tribes, religions, races, nations living in our own times amongst our own generation but we all have to become aware that our freedom means that we can choose how to grow and live throughout our lifetimes.

St Peter, Andrew, James and John  were born into the families of fishermen in Galilee of the Nations. They were not predestined to become "fishers of men". King Charles is King of England not because he has either a divine right or was chosen by God but because he did not refuse the throne of his mother. Only "Our Lady" seems to have been prechosen into an earthly role for she was conceived without stain of sin and yet it is taught that she could have refused her place in Salvation for God respects his gifts to his pinnacle of creation. There is no human freedom that is an illusion.

Dear Lord, help me to pray and follow your footsteps onward to my personal final moment which only by accepting your grace can I make acceptable to you. Amen
