Trinity Sunday

There are still millions of human beings who refuse to accept the revelations that were first made directly to individuals in the Middle East. 

It was there that the revelation to mankind that each individual's inner voice and awareness of being is activated to enable us to consciously respond to the "Creator" was first made and finally  brought to a conclusion on Calvary.

Moses came down from the mountain and the stone tablets now contain the words of God.

Everything is known to God; for him there are no probabilities or possibilities. Everything that has happened, is happening or will ever happen is known to Him. Each one of us, however, is not trapped inside an encoded programme that will determine how each moment of our life will develop. 

We are created in the image and likeness of God outside of whose being there exists nothing that exists, and we do share in the power of his freedom but  within the limits of Creation, the known Universe. Many of us over the centuries have been able to achieve wonders that are real, beautiful, and benign but we and everything that we do are always corruptible, subject to time.

Two thousand years ago God announced through the person of a Jewish teenager that he was going to completely reset the relationship between Himself and the Apex of  His Creation and to help us understand that the Incarnation is Real, that God can become man, he taught us that IAMIAM of Moses is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

Today the Church reflects upon the "Trinity" and we too can with our body, mind and soul raise our hearts and minds to know that only the things of God, Faith, Hope and Charity are real in this world but that this is the only place where we can show our Love for God and that it was here that the Incarnation proved in real-time, once and for all of his creation that  Our Father is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

Today I pray that ever more of us  open our hearts and ponder what it is that Our Father requires of us, ever mindful that his freely given support is always for us, also freely, to accept both in the Sacraments of Peter's Foundation Church and in the Church of Mystical Love the New Holy Family.

Saturday Week 8 Ordinary Time

Two thousand years after the Incarnation there is nothing that we can do during our lifetimes that is any better than what is recorded in the "Acts" and in the Pastoral letters that have been selected to guide us through our daily lives. 

Jesus himself taught us how to pray and his instructions have become our formal prayer, the "Our Father". 

Miriam was angry that her sister was just sitting at the feet of the Lord leaving her to prepare their "daily bread" on her own. Jesus assured Miriam that Mary "had chosen the better part" but "The Resurrection" even prepared breakfast for his Apostles before their return from the unsuccessful fishing trip on Lake Galilee.

Our primary task in life is to praise God, bow down before HIM and do his will here on Earth just as if we were already part of the spiritual community of true-being for whom God is "All in All", that we call Heaven but we do all have to preserve our bodies with which we are united and so we also have to pray for the sustenance to maintain our bodily lives and for the ability to produce it.

What we must not do, however, is to allow the cares and delights of this material world and being occlude our spiritual senses and awareness of the futility that debases "the wonder of my being" into  "bucket lists" of finite delights by ignoring the basic fact that even though we all die we also contain the image and likeness that is Eternal Life.

We are all capable of raising our hearts and minds in the ways taught by the words and deeds of the Incarnation. "You Lord have the words of Eternal Life".

St Jude directs us to be "prayerful, compassionate beings" always remembering that to fulfil the purpose of the Father we are dependent on the free gift of Loving Mercy won for us by Son and distributed directly into our beings by HOLY SPIRIT. 

The Pharisees questioned Jesus' authority and he stretched out his arms to receive the nails from which he hung over the Whole World telling us that his "authority" is the LOVE which is ever available in the new Sacramental reality he created at the Last Supper and in the sacred familial Love that is the New Holy Family.

Friday Week 8 Ordinary Time

What we know about St Peter we  mainly learn from the Gospels and from  his "encyclicals".

We know that the first sentence of this morning's reading is historically incorrect. For two thousand years, Christians have struggled with the disappointment that the "end of time" has not yet materialised.

What we are and have in our lives is "God's Gift", life itself,  which we have to consciously share with all others in order to become the prayerful beings that God has created to accept and reflect the Glory of the FATHER that SON reveals is HOLY SPIRIT, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

It is true that today "time" still continues and we are still waiting for Jesus' promised return. It is also true that each individual's life is his personal time. Jesus promises to be with us until the end of time. We can only hope and pray that he will be there to help us as we breathe our last.

We know that on the night before he was betrayed, Jesus created a Sacramental new way of being "This is my body" and an Order of New Priesthood " do this in remembrance of me" to perpetuate his coming Sacrifice. At the Shrine of Pan at the foot of Mont Hermon, he had already founded the Church of Jews and Gentiles; "Thou art Peter and upon this rock......."

The Word is always present for us to find in Scripture. The Institutional Church teaches that  Jesus is also present in the Sacraments even when she herself displays unrighteous conduct. 

The Incarnation really did renew the face of the Earth" and has given us a new way of being, a new reality ,the Sacraments, a new priesthood and as he completed the human time of True Man, bleeding out in public display on Calvary he also created a New Holy Family by his words to Mary and John.

Jesus always treats our human weaknesses with compassion. 

During the three days which concluded his life on Earth he confirms for all ages that our own love for each other is a reflection of the LOVE that is generated by IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT. I am because God loves me. My life has to aim for the righteousness, the holiness that knows that I must not contaminate the purity of my own ability to love by being absorbed into the things of this world, 

That is the significance of the three renunciations made at our Baptism into the Christian Faith

In today's Gospel he awakens the sleeping Apostles with  an affectionate yet sorrowful  " Could you not watch one hour with me", knowing that they cannot be aware of what is about to transpire. He later offers compassion to the women whose tears would have also pulled at my heartstrings. To pray for the forgiveness of those hammering iron nails into his flesh however is totally beyond my capabilities as is the reward for the explicitly human honesty of "the Good Thief". The Total Human and Divine Love of the entire Crucifixion is possible only for "The True Man and True God".

The Incarnation concludes the History of Salvation which begins in today's first reading.

I have heard the Abraham/Isaac event referred to as if it were a parable to preach against the concept of human sacrifice. A command from God to destroy the life of our own child is an unthinkable denial of the "Infinite Good" that calls us to worship "Our Father".

"God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believe in him will have eternal life."

It is very not often that "the things of this world" align in real time specifically with the liturgical readings of the day. In the media today, however, there is much talk of the "Abraham Accords", which only God knows the sincerity or otherwise thereof, the name given to a political initiative to solve the latest stage of the tragic conflicts that permanently deface the Holy Land.

God knows how it has always been difficult for me to understand how His favour was for so long focused on one nation and how I have always wondered about the "emptiness" of the lives of  people civilised and primitive who were scattered about the world other than in the Middle-East even in the days of Abraham.

Dear Lord, You know that there is not one human who can reproach you and that I do accept responsibility and seek forgiveness for my own sins. You also know that I am sincerely troubled by my non-comprehension of why it is that You created  a "chosen people" from out of all the human souls you love into being. Why is it that their descendants still refuse the "grace" you created on Calvary? Help me also to understand  why so many of the inhabitants of this world have not yet learnt that YOUARETHEWAYTRUTHLIFE that welcomes all the World into your Church of Love, the New Holy Family. Amen

St Augustine of Canterbury

There is no such thing as an empty word coming from the mouth of God. That is why I often struggle as I did yesterday trying to understand how Jesus could reply to Peter's question by stating that the things of this world i.e. family and wealth which he and the Apostles had "given up" would be returned "one hundredfold" in "this time".

"My kingdom is not of this world" has presented to each generation of Christian what is basically the same problem for we all grow to maturity in societies in which there are human norms that are contrary to the will of God and our Institutional Churches have from long ago fudged their adherence to "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars and to God the things that are God's".

St Gregory the Great, who despatched St Augustine to convert the Pagan Angles, is credited by St Bede with the pun not "Angels not Angles". He had seen the blond Angles exhibited as merchandise in a "Slave Market". For the people of his generation a "Slave Market" in the Roman Empire was a normal commercial enterprise in which prisoners of war were sold into slavery. 

We are able to live just and holy lives only when we remain alert to the dangers that the human norms of the societies in which we live infiltrate our consciences even to the extent that in the "these days" of now we make no effort to deflect our children away from the excesses that are portrayed as norms by the media that can bedazzle us all into captivation that really does waste the time that we should use only to bring ourselves closer to God.

Dear Lord, help me to continue the struggle against all that is displeasing to you and with true sincerity of heart endeavour to accept the grace which never-endingly flows into the Church of Love, your New Holy Family in which we on Earth can anticipate the peace that it is to be know and be known after the self-inflicted turmoils of this life. Amen

We do not have a lot of words or sayings that have been attributed to St Peter and yet he is a focal point of  Christianity. 

He is the one who confirmed the break with Temple religion and Law on the basis that he had witnessed the Holy Spirit blessing Gentile converts. He baptised the uncircumcised Cornelius and also denied the necessity for dietary laws, but in his preaching today he is aware that the Hebrew Prophets were guided by the Holy Spirit to prepare the way for us to become able to accept the Incarnation as the completed manifestation of way to holiness in this world.

In the Gospel reading Peter is reacting to the  "rich young man" whose wealth held him back from  following the Lord. He is appealing for an indication from Jesus what is going to be the outcome for the Apostles having abandoned everything to literally walk with him around the villages of Galilee and Judea.

Jesus' reply seems to say that the earthly ("in this time") rewards of perfect discipleship will be huge.

At that time: Peter began to say to Jesus, ‘See, we have left everything and followed you.’ Jesus said, ‘Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers or sisters, or mother or father, or children, or lands for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.’

We really do have to interpret anything that we read in scripture in the light of the whole. Jesus has made it clear "that his kingdom is not of this world". To become the owner of the whole world is a profitless exercise if our soul is lost. He has thus told us not to become overcome by the things of this world and even here the last one of the benefits that we are to receive one hundredfold "in this time" is "persecution".

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’

Whit Sunday

        Wisdom    Understanding    Counsel    Fortitude    Knowledge    Piety    Fear of the Lord 

The promised "helper" has arrived today and the "formation" of the first "Bishops" of the Church is complete. 

I was able to list the "Seven Gifts" not because I remember them but because the "click of a mouse" is not only the door to distraction but it can also be very helpful to those such as I who are aware that there is much that they should have remembered.

 At the moment I am avoiding facing the challenge that is posed by "tongues of fire" and "sound like a rushing wind".

Jesus is "true man and true God" and so "The resurrection" can show his wounds to his Apostles but he "breathes" onto them their spiritual authority to forgive sin. He does not hand over anything that is tangible.

The seventy-two were told that "if their peace were not accepted" they were to take it back. Simon Magus was ready to pay money to obtain "the Holy Spirit". Both incidents sound as if there were something tangible about "peace" and "Holy Spirit".

I know that I can raise my heart and mind towards God only with the unseen help that is Holy Spirit from IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and that we can only "know" God, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT but never understand him even when we accept and truly make use of the gifts with which we begin and also conclude these reflections which are my prayer for this Whit Sunday, the celebration of the Holy Spirit, our Advocate and Helper. Amen

7th Saturday in Eastertide

Many scholars have made their livings out of delving into the authorship of our scriptures.

The writer of the "Gospel According to St John" tells us that he is "The disciple whom Jesus loved".

Ever since I learnt the Penny Catechism I have tried to guide my life from childhood to "octogenarianhood" by "God made me to know, love and serve him in this world" and have had a waxing and waning interest in liturgy, scripture and theology. 

I have no illusions about the depth of my knowledge. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing". I do, however, find comfort in "No-one knows the Father except the Son and he  to whom the Son chooses to reveal him". 

In fact it is more than comfort that I find in those words of SON for Jesus thus assures us that when we  escape from the clutches of selfhood, this world, the flesh and the illusory non-being, evil that they create to deceive us, we become open to accept and return the Love of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and thus prepare our souls in this world for the ALLINALL, the timeless and thus never ending perfection of ultimate worship.

All Scripture, Old and New Testaments are "texts", that over the centuries have been written by hand on scrolls and in books, printed by hand and rolling press and can now be brought to our screens by a click of a mouse. But just as with Jesus with the scriptures "there is always something greater here".

We have not been left alone in this vast but to us decipherable, that is why mankind becomes insufferably proud,  Universe. Those who wrote the scriptures lived in this world millennia ago but they are still beings and unequivocally know that it is the Spirit of Truth who guided their consciousnesses in this world and that we the living can still be guided by the work of their brains and hands into the way, truth and life. 

They who wrote the scriptures know that their personal identity is unimportant as the certain author of all Scripture is the WORD.

Our "Gospel" Mass Reading today concludes John's remembrances of the real time events in which he shared, that enable us to become the ones to whom Jesus chooses to reveal "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" to enable us to live our lives to the full.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Friday Week 7 Easter

In this morning's Gospel, true man and true God, the Resurrection, has given his Apostles breakfast on the shore of Lake Galilee. 

True God, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT knows in his timelessness how these chosen beloved friends will extend his mission into the future that is created by mankind and how we all will live up to the revelations made through them.

True Man, Jesus of Nazareth, the Resurrection, knows that they are all hungry so feeds their bodies first before reinforcing their souls.

I am sure that in the real-time of that historical event, Peter, whose authority is thus reconfirmed by being singled out to reaffirm his faith, was much more than "grieved" to be so questioned. In his consciousness  he must have been in turmoil for he knew that it was only a month previously that he had three times, very publicly, denied all knowledge of Jesus.

Three denials are cancelled by the three affirmations of love that are now made.

In the first reading Festus the Roman Tribune explains to Agrippa the legalities which had prompted him to keep Paul in Caesarea before sending him to fulfil the  appeal to Nero that had already been made. I have always been amazed how it was that Paul's "appeal to Caesar" was so honoured.

The  historical "this worldly troubles" in the Holy Land that resulted in the destruction of the Temple are about to begin and the martyrdom of both Peter and Paul in Rome and the efficiency of its communications, "all roads lead to Rome." begin the entanglement with the "things of this world" that continue to mar the "Cure of Souls" that was entrusted to St Peter and the other first friends of Jesus.

St John remembers that the Church founded on Peter has to be fuelled only by Love. He also knows by experience that "Church Love" is also the totally spiritual New Holy Family that he and Mary formed in obedience to "Woman behold your Son. Son behold your mother", the last words spoken to them before "It is finished" was witnessed on Calvary.

Dear Lord, you know how your disciples became separated from the unity that they had as the offspring of Abraham. We have continued to grow further apart from "The Jews". I know that all the evils that exist in this world are created by mankind and that at the world's end they will be nothing. Help me and all peoples of the world know that we have been created by Love, to Love one another in order that united in Love we can do your Will on earth as it is in Heaven. Come Lord, Jesus Come! Maranatha! Amen!

Thursday Week 7 Eastertide

We begin our Mass readings for today, still in Palestine with St Paul who has been accused by the same "Jews" who had instigated the execution of Jesus. As did Pilate, this Roman Tribune also knew that his "Jews" were up to something that he could not understand. 

He, however, did not wash his hands of the matter but set up a confrontation between Paul and his adversaries in an attempt to understand what it was that had caused the differences, the source of the  antagonism and riotous uproar.

Jesus did tell Pilate "My kingdom is not of this world" but this world, specifically the Roman Empire, still played  a huge role in the shaping of the institutional Church of the first centuries, both Byzantine and Roman, and thus began the break up of what John remembers in today's Gospel as Jesus' "prayer for unity."

John developed his Gospel during the fifty or so years that had passed since the Resurrection, when the first Christians had anticipated the return of Jesus to the extent that they had even given up their own private property and formed a worshipping commune, the first monastic community.

John's Gospel however is inspired to become "theology" which forms the framework in which we can learn how to live "in this world but not of it". 

We all have to live our lives learning that the SPIRIT of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT is both the source and meaning of our lives. Jesus the Incarnate Son, teaches us that the temporal things  of this world are not a goal but only an opportunity for him to physically demonstrate the extent of Divine Love and for us to grasp that the real time  we are experiencing at this moment has only to be used, as did he, to fulfill the will of FATHER on earth as it is in Heaven. Mammon only has  temporal  existence even though counted in billions.

We are not left alone in this Universe to be overcome by the incomprehensible vastness of the spaces between the stars and infinitely small atomic particles, we are not confined by evolution, we are not at the mercy of time; we are known and loved by "Our Father" who created us and our spiritual home in this world, "of but not in it"; our Church of Love , God's New Holy Family.

Wednesday Week 7 Eastertide

Each day that I begin to read and reflect on the Scriptures, I know that Our Father is not only already aware of what I am thinking but also he allows me the freedom of trying to find my own words to express what is troubling me.

In the Gospel for today, John has remembered in his own words  what is the essential meaning of Jesus' prayer.

I have read the words after they have been innumerable times processed in at least four other languages, by thousands of scholars but I still have the unique freedom to search for their meaning. Each one of us is free to search for the meaning that we all can recognise by our own experience.

The Scriptures are WORD, and also the identifying human words that are absolute in meaning in all the languages of mankind.

IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT is way beyond all human understanding. Many brains, intelligences have tried to break into the timeless impenetrability but only one man has been able to close his eyes to this world and immediately "know" the FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT for only Jesus knows IAMFTHERSONHOLYSPIRIT as he is SON.

Jesus told us "My kingdom is not of this world". In his remembrances of the night before the crucifixion, John recalls the essence of Jesus' publicly uttered prayer of preparation of himself for the pain and terror he was to undergo for the sake of mankind. He tells us that IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT reveals by his own INCARNATION into this world that our lives must not become entangled by the temporal "now" in which we have our being..

We really do have to fight against the truly soul-destroying wonders of  this world i.e. "empirical reality" for God created us to "know love and serve" through an ongoing Spiritual conflict. Today I know that "this world" is filled with sin and the enemies of God. 

I also know that Our Father is totally aware of the "State of Our World". He has already saved the world and the Holy Spirit is our helper. Each one of us can strive after righteousness not only for ourselves but also for our families and neighbours. We can ask to continue to live in the Love that created us for SON not only founded a Church on Peter he also ensured that Divine Love is ever-present in the New Holy Family he created with Mary and John.

Dear Lord help me to pray sincerely for the forgiveness of those who are today continuing in their blasphemy. You know that "outrage" is often a camouflage for my own guilt and help me to curb this tendency that is one of my many sins. Help me to fend off all the fierce wolves to whom I open the door, allowing them to attack my soul and let these prayers join those of Mary and all the saints that your Mercy overwhelm  our sins on Earth and release the Holy Souls from the pains of the punishment they now know that your Justice demands. Amen

Tuesday Week 7 Eastertide

Our Lord Jesus Christ when he was on Earth warned us about "the Pharisees" as they were failing to put into practice what they preached. I know that that is a criticism that can easily be levelled against me. I also know that to accept that "criticism" as true does not excuse it. 

In the first reading, St Paul knows that he has come to the end of his mission to instruct both Jews and Gentiles of Roman Asia directly, and indirectly, all subsequent generations how to live in this world to ensure that their and our souls can partake of the never-ending life for which we have been created.

St Paul was a Pharisee who clung to the Living Lord and whose letters bear witness to and teach the Great Reset of salvation that is the Life / Death/ Resurrection of the Lord of Life.

In the second reading, Jesus knows that as true man he is about to experience in this world the bodly Sacrifice that creates the new Sacrament of Salvation and as True God knows from outside of time that the Divine Will to Pardon of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT can only be fulfilled by His real-time worldly human torment and private hiatus leading to the Glory and Divine Joy of Easter.

I have to treat each day as if it were my farewell to this world and thus pray for forgiveness and the grace to avoid further sinfulness. I have neither the human strength of St Paul nor the sinlessness of  Jesus but I do have the assurance of Jesus that he will never leave us to be alone and that the Holy Spirit will be our helper during our lives. Shortly after the farewell to his friends, Jesus would be deserted by them all and taken to to be tried before Pilate. As he breathed his last breath from his cross he created the New Holy Family with Mary and John who had come close to the place of execution to be the witnesses, together with the other Marys, of his death and the guardians of his corpse.

Monday Easter Week 7

When Jesus declared before Pilate that his kingdom was not of this world, he was not just making a "political" statement about the separation of Church and State. He was speaking to the economic/business community whose tentacles still hold even the poorest of the citizens of this world in its grasp.

All the Temples of the Middle East of his day functioned not only as places where sacrifices could be made to the Titular Deity but they were also the commercial and financial centres which guaranteed the value of currency and commercial contracts. Central Banks.

We know that Jesus "drove out the money changers (bankers) from the Temple" in Jerusalem and we too are thus told to drive ourselves out of the clutches of the Mammon into which we are all born. We have to be always aware that "the tribulations" (economies) of this world have no lasting hold on us even though they cling to us mercilessly. Mammon has been defeated on Calvary.

In Athens, Paul was preaching to the Top Universities of our day and today, in Ephesus he is undermining the foundations on which Wall Street is built.

Today in the Gospel the disciples take heart that they can understand the plain speech that Jesus is using. Jesus, however, knows that even his "plain speaking" carries a depth and weight that is far greater than its straight forward meaning which can only be learnt truly by imitating  his deeds. 

We know what is about  to happen in this drama but they are going to face a totally unanticipated  shock in the real-time of that what became the first generation of Christians.

Sunday 7th Week of Easter

In today's Gospel John reveals how Jesus prayed to prepare himself and his friends for the pain and torment of the very last Acceptable Sacrifice of a living being that would ever be made in this created universe.

All the reality in which we live explodes out of the "Glorious Love" that is the BEING, WILL and FREEDOM of  "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT".

Our Father who art in heaven knows that I am not capable of capturing the certainty that I have of his righteousness, in words.  And this matters not one iota to "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT", for "know" is not the same as "understand" and it is my pride that is prompting me to face up to impossibility of "knowing" more than St John reveals when he begins his Gospel.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

When I pray I have always to first of all seek forgiveness, sinning is more than second nature to me. The True Man that is Jesus does not have this problem but raising his eyes he is one with God,

 Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

With these words, the author of life, the being that creates all that is not himself is preparing himself to accept true pain of death and the emptiness of non-being because he trusts the miniscule entity that I am to learn to pray both to and with him. He has the power to make me do this but LOVE never uses force.

 Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Lord help me to continue to reach out and respond to your Life on Earth as recorded in the scriptures. Help me to learn how to be true to what I can learn from Old and New testaments. Let my prayers join those of Mary and all the saints with whom I implore your mercy for all the my fellow sinners on Earth and for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen.

Saturday Week 6 Eastertide

The FATHER announced the complete reset of Salvation to Mary and she "conceived the SON by the HOLYSPIRIT".

In today's first reading, Apollos is still a Jew. 

He was convinced that Jesus was the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. We are not told directly what it was in his preaching that Priscilla and Aquila corrected but there is a clue. We are told that he knew only the Baptism of John.

Jesus commissioned his followers to baptise in the name of "Father, Son and Holy Spirit". There are many of us, men and women of good intentions, who assert that "it is not important what you believe as long as act with Good Will".

The New Testament, however, teaches us not only how to live in this world but also reveals the Truth of which we have to come to an understanding and acceptance for we are not "artificial intelligences", for ever contained within our "coding algorithms", but "image and likeness" of our creator and thus each one of us is free to choose to know/ understand why we have been brought into being.

The priests, lawyers and scholars who led the Jewish community and who demanded the death penalty for Jesus did so because to deny the unity of IAMIAM was the "sin that could not be forgiven".

The INCARNATON is a demonstration of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRT and it is for this revelation of the being of IAMFATHER that SON willed and accepted for himself the Sacrifice of Calvary perpetuated through HOLY SPIRIT in the mass.

It is vital for our eternal life that we can choose for ourselves to know and believe every word that comes from the mouth of God. 

At the shrine of Pan,  Jesus announced "Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church" and in his dying breath on Calvary created the "New Holy Family", the "Church of Love" where we can find spiritual security with Himself, Mary and John.

Friday Week 6 Easter 

"So also you have sorrow now," 

These words written by John had been "pondered in his heart" for 50/60 years of unfulfilled expectation before he recorded them and by 20/30 generations of believers during the twenty centuries of time that have past since "those days".

Today "my heart is heavy" when I read that ,"the Jews made a united attack on Paul and brought him before the tribunal, " and think "here we go again". 

Mary Peter James and John can be thought of as  "twice-chosen ones" and beloved instruments of  FATHER. The humanity of SON is Jewish. "Whoever does the will of My Father in heaven are my mother and brothers" is a rebuke made to those who once interrupted  his discourse.

"My heart is heavy" because I have to face  up to worldly reality. 

We all have to live according to the "will of My Father" in order to become part of the The Spiritual Body of  Christ, the Church of Love, the New Holy Family. We know that those who delivered up Jesus for execution were forgiven by him and we too must never bear resentment in our hearts against any friend or enemy.

The hatred for Jews that culminated in the European Industrialised Death Event we call the Holocaust  began in other Jews on the day of the Crucifixion and was compounded by other Jews who drove the followers of Christ out of their synagogues.

The worldly reality up to which I have to face is the Zionism that is the true Abomination of Desolation that desecrates both the site of the Temple and of the Resurrection,  the testaments with which IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT reveals his WILL for all mankind.

 but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. In that day you will ask nothing of me."

Dear Lord help me to be true to you in my thoughts, words and deeds.  You know how easy it is for me to sin against your law of love and place my own wishes before those of others. May Holy Spirit break through the calluses of ancient hatred that prevent so many of us from doing your will on earth as it is done in heaven. May my sins and those of the Holy Souls be washed clean by the flood  of Mercy you poured out with your blood on Calvary.

Thursday     The Ascension of the Risen Lord

St Luke begins his personal testimony "Acts of the Apostles" with what is the completion of his Gospel. He did not witness the Ascension himself but accepted the accounts of the eye-witnesses. 

Two thousand years later, I am in silence waiting for the words with which to declare my belief and awareness that the events recorded in the New Testament are fundamental to my becoming by acceptance of what IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT intends for all human beings.

I have learned that God is a Trinity of persons and a oneness of being. I display this belief as the "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" for the word "Trinity" is more of an intellectual concept than the persons, although vast beyond all conception, have by the birth, life and death of  Incarnate Son, revealed  to us how we should live our lives on earth.

I know that I am a sinner and that "this world" has also never lived up to the revelation of how to achieve the holiness that comes of obeying the rules for living revealed first to the Jews and then completed by the reset of Salvation made by the Incarnation.

Today, even in the presence of the Resurrection, some of the Apostles are still expecting  the "Kingdom of Israel" to be re-established. The manifest historical failures of Christianity, the institutional churches of Asia, Africa and Europe have all come about because we have not taken "My kingdom is not of this world" at its face-value" and thus misinterpreted "all authority on heaven and earth" to include Political Power.

The click of a mouse reveals the nonsense that this is in all the kingdoms of this world but especially in the Middle-East where the slaughter of human beings has become second nature to all participants and the familial human unity of

is completely ignored.

Dear Lord, help me to keep my heart and mind raised in prayer and ever conscious that you are with us always and that the Church of Love, your New Holy Family is your guaranteed presence until the end of time. Amen. Maranatha, Come Lord, Jesus come.

Wednesday Easter Week 6

In today's Gospel John continues to recall what has become known the "Farewell discourse" as it is Jesus' last recorded oral teaching before He is betrayed and completes the revelation of the Incarnation by deed and reaction to the deeds of "this world".

John remembers that their beloved Rabbi revealed that  they, and we, are not strong enough to live in the light of truth but we will never be alone when we search out for TRUTH. He and the Father are one and together HOLYSPIRIT. We will be supported in our worship and our longing for God by the Holy Spirit.

I suppose that John has internalised what he remembers and the discourse is his reproduction of the meaning that he has assimilated during the years he has witnessed the growth of faith in this world, discussions with the Apostles and Mary and responses to the Jews and Pagans who were his adversaries during his lifetime.

The Athens in which Paul teaches the "Unknown God" is unique in World History. At that moment it was still the centre of the cultural and intellectual life of the Roman Empire although devoid of political power.

It seems that the "Old Testament" history of salvation was somewhat acceptable but the "Resurrection" was beyond belief.

The "men of Athens" were thus less than enthusiastic about the "New Philosophy" but the people of Corinth, Paul's next destination, were to form a nucleus of the Early Church.

I am nothing without the "Resurrection". There is nothing in this world that leads me to the Way, Truth Life, to the door of the sheepfold, and into the arms of the Good Shepherd without the Resurrection.

Peter asked, "Where should we go? You Lord have the words of eternal life" and I too pray to overcome the things of this world and look for the guidance of IAMFSTHERSONHOLYSPIRIT for such is the being of God, my creator guide and protector when I use my freedom to search after personal righteousness which is the only gift that I can return for this is my sole reason for being. 

Let my prayers join those of Our Lady for whom today is a remembrance of her short return to "this world" at Fatima in Portugal. May my sins be forgiven and may the holy souls too seek the pardon which is never refused to sincere penitents. I make this prayer from the shelter from the things of this world that is the Church of Love, the New Holy Family which you created in the agony of Calvary.

Tuesday Week 6 Easter

 I was once entangled, when diving, in an abandoned fishing net well below the surface and completely out of air. I was terrified but at the same time resigned to my own death.

My memory cannot reproduce the emotions of that moment but I can remember the real-time of the event itself and both the certainty and acceptance that I had met my end.

The events experienced by Paul and Silas in the first reading are treated as an intervention into this world by God, a miracle. I do not know how I was saved from what I had accepted as certain death in the Red Sea but if it was an intervention by God, a miracle, it was not revealed as such.

I know that I was praying and I remember a fleeting mind picture of myself as Jesus on the cross suspended between the light of the surface and the entanglements of the depths.

In the Gospels Jesus is always speaking to our souls. Today he tells us that "he has to" complete the will of the Father. The "Incarnation" leaves this world but "Holy Spirit" takes his place and thus God remains with us but does not limit our freedom other than by the laws of physical nature which we are still free to understand and manipulate.

The Holy Spirit condemns the denial of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT that governs the sinful norms of this world, the unrighteousness that devalues prayer, and convicts all who put the things of this world before those of heaven, of refusing the free gift of salvation revealed in the Resurrection of SON, who died hanging between heaven and earth to create the free gift of Sacramental Salvation in the Church founded on St Peter and our place of spiritual safety in the Church of Love, the New Holy Family which is truly "not of this world".

I am certain that the spiritual announcement made to the teenager Mary marks the moment in human time when her "Fiat" enabled WORD that has always been "God with God" to take on her created human flesh to begin his presence in the evolutionary top-level mammalian animal real-time as do all of us who become "true-men" as God creates our souls.

We have to recognise this initiating moment of the Incarnation and as did Mary never lose sight of it as we too "ponder within our hearts" "what this could mean as she was a virgin".

In today's Gospel John remembers that Jesus had warned the Disciples that when they came to pass on what they would come to learn about him they would be driven out of the Synagogue and thus unable to keep the Sabbath holy with their fellow Jews.

But by the time John came to write his memoirs, however,  his experiences had revealed that he and all his friends and converts had become "Christians" and that he and his generation had been blessed by the presence of Jesus, true God and True Man.

The very sayings of Jesus in the Gospels and the response of the Apostles and Evangelists to them are for all generations the record of how we are to respond to the ever-changing reality of life in this world. Old Testament Jewish Law has been reset and The Father has spoken, The Son has shown and The Helper continues to be and help us do the work of both.

We are in the eyes of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, much more capable than I feel myself to be. for he trusted a teenager to make the right response when "the Angel of the Lord appeared unto Mary and she conceived by the Holy Ghost".

‘I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.’

Week 5 Eastertide

Opponents of Christianity always complain that there is too much emphasis on sexual morality and not enough on preventing violence. 

Our age is still full of both sexual immorality and war,

The "this world" which has become the reality that it is in 2026 cannot become "the Kingdom" for it has never accepted that the Ten Commandments revealed to Moses are absolute and  cannot be avoided by human casuistry.

"Thou shalt not kill" is only reinforced by Jesus to become "Turn the other cheek" and finalised on Calvary by "Father forgive them, they know not what they do". 

It is only well-intentioned men who can create the "this worldly" concept of a "Just War" which has not only allowed us to defend ourselves against aggression but also justified our aggression by the concept of "self-defence" informed by "the best form of defence is attack".

At the present moment we are witnessing how much the ingenuity of mankind is being wasted in warfare and how there is no war without hatred of our neighbour.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

I know that it is easy for me to sit here and type what many would call platitudes, but it is a fact that God conceived SON in the womb of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit thus saying "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" and that JESUSSON revealed that he is the "First fruits of  a new creation" and that he  founded both the Church on St Peter and a New Holy Family with Mary and John to confirm that the Holy Spirit would never leave us alone even though I would say that the historical facts of the post-Apostolic ages  prove that his revelations have been more ignored than put into practice.

There are many Christian nationalists but is it even possible for there to be Christian Nation?

Saturday Week 5 Easter.

In today's first reading we continue on their mission with Paul and Barnabas and also learn that St Luke is an eye-witness of some these "deeds" that he records.

The preaching that I have heard and read in my lifetime has had Scripture as either its subject or its support.

Jesus had ordered the first missionaries, both "the 12" and "the 72", to proclaim that "the kingdom of God was at hand" and when they did so their sincerity was supported to the extent that they themselves were amazed and exultant by the spiritual gifts that they displayed.

By the time Paul and Barnabas were ready to begin their mission into  Europe, however, Christian preaching had expanded to include not only the  "Good News" but also the deliberations and decisions that the Apostles and elders had arrived at by pondering in their hearts the events that they were experiencing. 

Today, 09/05/2026 it seems to me that in order to be taken out of this world as was the first Church I need to pray that I can become able to "Cry out with joy to the Lord. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing for joy" and thus truly experience  the nearness of  "The Kingdom of God is nigh" rather than "know" about God in the cold light of soulless brainpower as would the manmade artifact, Artificial Intelligence or any other media storage system.

Friday Easter Week 5

When Jesus sent his disciples on their first missions their message was "The kingdom of God is at hand". They returned to Jesus amazed at their own success but we have no more details about the outcomes other than they cured the sick and drove out evil spirits. 

The first generation of Christians, however, created the New Testament. The Gospels, the Letters and one Apocalypse are the outcomes of their personal experiences and responses to the Resurrection. The Risen Lord had spoken to some of them but most of the first believers were in the same category of holiness as are we "blessed are those who have not seen and yet still believe". 

Judas Barsabbas and Silas carried a letter to vouch for their identity but the authority that guaranteed their sincerity was The Holy Spirit which seems to have been recognisable not only by our forefathers in faith but also by contemporary charlatans who sought to purchase and profit from it.

Simon Magus witnessed the outcome that resulted when the Apostles "laid hands" on those newly baptised only in the name of Jesus and tried to buy the ability to access that Great Mystery for himself. Jesus had previously told the first missionary disciples to take back their "peace" if it did not rest on those to whom it was directed.

I have no problem in learning that God is Threeinone FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and am totally relaxed in my belief that is built on the Apostles Creed. I do know that the "charismatics" experience something in their worship that frightens me for its outcomes are too similar to those which can be witnessed wherever groups of people commit to the mass hysteria produced by shared enthusiasm.

Dear Lord, help me to become able to know what is  the "discernment of spirits" and recognise when it is the Holy Spirit that fills my heart with the fire of your Love for you know how easily for me it is to be led into temptation by my own thoughts, imagination and sentimental emotion. Amen

Thursday Week 5 Easter

My judgement is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God.

Today St James summarises what he and those who have taken part in the discussion about what part the pre-Incarnation revelations to the Hebrews should play in the Good News/Resurrection revelations that Jesus had commanded them to preach inclusively to the "whole world", have decided about "The Law of Moses".

Therefore my judgement is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.

I am looking at those words two thousand years later. My opinions have been informed by the Gospels and by reading the opinions of  learned scholars and Theologians, but St James, St Peter were themselves Jews who had known the INCARNATION as their Rabbi Jesus of Nazareth.

I know that our relationship with God underwent a complete reset, a re-creation (Jesus himself told us that he came to fulfill the original Law not to change it) when "The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary and she conceived by the Holy Ghost", but I don't know how much of what is our New Testament was truly understood in the same way that I do, by those who had shared in the real-time of the events recorded therein.

In the real-time of today "this world" is again very much concerned with what is happening in the Middle-East. The Jews "who still proclaim Moses, by reading him every Sabbath in the synagogues" are again at the centre of history and again manipulating the most powerful of the rulers of this world as they did with Pilate in Jerusalem two thousand years ago.

The continuing human suffering being perpetrated in Palestine by them and at their behest amongst their neighbours reveals to us all that we have never truly accepted the final revelation made in the real-time of this Universe by the Incarnate Son of God, Jesus. We have not accepted the grace to completely renounce sin that was created as God suffered death for us on Calvary.

We are all capable of knowing that we are individual beings and that we are each free to make choices. Jesus was a willing participant in his own Crucifixion to reveal that the defeat of humanly created evil requires something greater than created being and that if to prevent sin we had had our freedom removed  (remember that God is all-powerful) we would no longer be the image and likeness of the Love by which we are both created and re-created by forgiveness of sin.

We who cannot return ourselves to the nothing of pre-creation for we have been created and are loved to choose to fulfill the intentions of Our Father, have had it revealed to us how we are to live in this world to avoid adding to the humanly created evil which has been evident in all previous generations and in my lifetime has revealed itself in war, concentration camps, holocaust, fire-storms, atom bomb, ethnic cleansing, racism, clerical abuse, religious persecution and all the personal sins of which I have been guilty and am still capable. 

Today I pray that we can all receive the Word as did both Jew and Gentile in today's Acts and thus be delivered from the evil of our own making. Amen

Wednesday Easter Week 5

"Abide" is a lovely word which speaks volumes of the peaceful continuity and the tranquility that comes from knowing we have been graced by the presence of God. At Emmaus the disciples recognised the source of the burning in their hearts when the stranger whom they had invited "to abide a while" was "breaking  bread".

I spend most of my time during the "these days" of 2026 following the events that are the domain of the "ruler of this world". The only good that it does for me is to keep on reminding me that "My kingdom is not of this world" and that I am a minor mortal being sharing with millions of others in a transitory reality which I am able to know because within me has been created in "image and likeness" an immortal soul able to know, love and serve.

Today the events of this world now and for the preceding 2000 years tell me that Jesus  declared fundamental TRUTH before Pilate. There has never been a place for HIM to rest his head in any of the kingdoms of this world. Those who claim to be doing His will in warfare press the thorns of his crown  further into his skull.

When we engross ourselves in the the things of this world we begin the process whereby our "true being" is choked off from the abiding presence of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT. We are wheat choosing to grow in darnel.

There is nothing that we can do to give "Greater Glory to God" in this life than opening our hearts to accept the mercy that is the blood flowing from his side and avoiding what are the often disguised "things of this world" with which we fill our beings until the very last moment of our lives.

If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch, and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.’

Tuesday Easter Week 5

I am sure that there have been many times before today that I have been confused by the words of the New Testament. I have always, however, clung to the "know, love and serve" of the Penny Catechism for St Peter was absolutely right "Lord where could we go? You have the words of eternal life" and sorted out my confusion in the Light of Faith, Hope and Charity.

I cannot, however, remember ever coming to an understanding of : "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father.’ or even of thinking about it.

I have longtime been aware that I am more than an animal but I am still a created being and as are all of us conscious of my own being. This consciousness of being is made in "image and likeness" and thus is although infinitely smaller, a  replica of our Creator in that all human souls are free to choose to be either, to various degrees, tied and bound by the "flesh" or self-directed to the "kingdom that is not of this world".

Jesus is "True man and true God". 

JESUSSON experiences the same way of being human as do we. JESUSFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT also is GOD and thus is aware of all reality either eternal or past, present or to come.

In the human real-time of two thousand years ago, Jesus told his disciples that the world  after "those days" would be bound by the "ruler of this world" i.e, the natural laws of creation but that he and by implication we his friends are free to live according to the Law of Divine Love.

The Incarnation has completely reset by perfection the Law of Moses. "My kingdom is not of this world", however,  has very rarely been taken at it face-value. 

Even though the words of today's gospel are also a preparation for that unequivocal declaration the Churches of both East and West very soon began to take on the worldly roles which have obscured "The Light of the World" and which have resulted in our continuing preference to ignore the Word of God.

Dear Lord, help me to remember my baptismal promises for they are much more than words being part of the sacrament you created by unquestioningly accepting the Father's will to give another chance to the peoples of the world. Let my prayers join those of Mary our spiritual mother given to us on Calvary and let the Holy Souls and we Sinners on Earth understand the injustice that we have done and are still doing to IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT who creates only with Joy and Love. Amen

The English Martyrs

We can only avoid hatred of others by knowing that IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT has created each one of us to come into his presence at the end of our lives to see, be seen and judged. He died on the cross, was resurrected and is "the way, truth and the life".

Jesus told us that we are not Jew and Gentile but have to know ourselves to be his brothers and sisters as an integral part of "knowing, loving and serving" in this life. To enable us to do this he created during his death the mystical Church of Love, the New Holy Family by sharing his Mother with us.

                            "Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother."

Today's feast celebrated by the Roman Church in England remembers the heroic deaths undergone by men and women who refused to change their religion when subjected to "dungeon, fire and sword". 

I wonder what the souls of such as Thomas More and Margaret Clitheroe felt when their lives were so unfairly ended at the hands of other men.

As our souls come face to face with God it seems to me that there, in my case, have got to be many regrets for my sins, but the Merciful welcome into our permanent room or forgiving fire has got to totally fill our awareness of being with thanks for the inconceivable magnanimity of Our Saviour's Love to the extent that in St Thomas' and St Margaret's case excluded all the negative emotions that had been part of the real-time of their last moments on Earth.

There are many other English Martyrs than the two that I have named. The two Thomases Cromwell and Cramer were burnt at the stake. They were Protestants but before that they were men who would not give up their Faith in Jesus when threatened by the power of the state.

Throughout its history the Church founded on St Peter has too often been led by its hierarchy into entanglements with the politics of this world that paradoxically have enabled some of us e.g.  today's Martyrs, to reveal human heroism in the face of violent persecutions.

In today's Gospel Jesus warns his friends that they will suffer initially at the hands of their fellow Jews. 

Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles.

Dear Lord, forgive us for perpetuating the cycle of "persecution and revenge" that is still today being enacted in Palestine and is still so obviously against your will. Amen

                It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables.

Some months or so prior to his Crucifixion, Jesus had responded to Martha's complaint that Mary was not doing her share of the work needed to prepare the meal for their guests by telling her that "Mary had chosen the better part".

We interpret this to mean that praying is the most important work that we can do in this life and that nothing  should interrupt our awareness of being in the presence of God.

In today's reading from the Acts, the Apostles had come to the realisation that they were not able to pray, lead worship and simultaneously take on responsibility for the physical needs of their commune which met in the Portico of Solomon and in the Upper Room.

Their solution to the problem was to ordain "deacons". Thus began the hierarchical structure of the Church within which the Holy Spirit has often been excluded by the worldly ambitions and jealousy of clergy. We are all "friends" of Jesus even though the "imposition of hands" designates "authority". 

On the night of his betrayal Jesus scandalised his Apostles by performing the action of a slave and washed their feet. The "true man" that is Jesus told us that "true prayer" has to be in the heart and unseen except by "Our Father who art in heaven" and in this world it is by our deeds that we show that we keep close to the Father in our hearts.

Dear Lord, help me know the peace that comes from your words "Let not your hearts be troubled" it is easy to trust in God and trust in you but I seem to beset by all sorts of stupidities and am greatly troubled that the perfect beginning you gave to Your Church has not been matched by subsequent events. It is incredible that 2000 years after your Resurrection such savagery still engulfs what was your home in this world and not one leader has emerged to right the wrong that has been done to the Arabs of Palestine. You know that I believe with my whole heart that all evil is the result of our disobedience and all weapons are brought into use by the will of individuals but why oh why are so many innocents in these days being slaughtered before they have the chance to "do your will on Earth?" The Apostles expected your imminent return and prayed "Maranatha" today I repeat that prayer and plead with you to return and complete the judgement ordained by FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT even though as you already do know I am not yet ready to see you face to face. Lord have Mercy and let me find rest within the household you share with John and Mary, the Church of Love, The New Holy Family. Amen!

Saturday Easter Week 4

 ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.’

Dear Lord, Today I pray that everything that passes through my head onto this screen is the truth as far as I am capable of knowing and repeating.

God knows that I am a very limited human being who is trying to complete my life within the guidance of  the scriptures chosen to be read at the daily public liturgies of the Roman Church.

The Mass is an event that is unique in this world for the Sacrament is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, His gift of himself that happened in real-time over the 34 years that INCARNATESON lived in Palestine.

It was Jesus himself who supervised the formation undergone by the Apostles who became the first priests of the New Dispensation and in today's Gospel St John recalls the declaration, an answer made in mild exasperation to Philip's request, that he and the FATHER are ONE. 

This is further confirmation of the being of IAMIAM made to Mary at the Annunciation in our time of the beginning of the Jesus event that has been ever present in the Infinity created/known by IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

The Synagogue at Perga knew that there was something happening within the Jewish community that was spread throughout the Empire and so they had asked "Saul", who was known to be a disciple of Gamaliel, to talk to them about his interpretation of these disturbances.

What they heard shocked them to their very core and they attacked Paul and Barnabas. Jesus had recommended that the 12 Apostles shake off the dust of unbelieving households during the first directed missions to the people of Galilee and Judea. Paul and Barnabas did the same here and continued to walk on to Iconium.  

Two thousand years have been lived by millions of us since "that time". The growth of the Institutional Church founded on St Peter can be followed in the built environment of this world where many Churches, Cathedral and Basilicas pay tribute to the Faith of our Fathers. Vast libraries hold collections of millions of texts produced in every generation of the Christian Centuries.

It is very easy to become distracted by the prolific records of Christianity and focus on trying to reproduce how previous generations have responded in this world to the reset of Faith that INCARNATESON preached during his 34 years in Palestine.

When I pray that everything that passes through my head onto this screen is "true", I mean to declare that I do believe "everything that comes from the mouth of God" and hope to have understood that the way to the  TRUTH that is Eternal life was completed by the Resurrection and that the one source of the Grace that leads to Eternal Life is WORD that at Jesus' trial before Pilate declared "My kingdom is not of this world" and confirmed this by the creation of a specifically spiritual Church of Love, the New Holy Family to be the ever certain source of Divine Creative Love and Safety for our souls on Earth.

It must have been difficult for the first century Chosen People and those who had joined with them to become "God fearers", worshippers of IAMIAM, to face up to and absorb the real-time events with which IAMIAM perfected his revelations that had first been made solely to the descendants of Abraham but were now to be broadcast to all the nations of the world.

In Jerusalem and Galilee, most of the leaders, priests, lawyers and scholars although they had witnessed many "signs" were so frustrated by the incomparable wonder of this uneducated wandering rabbi, who could not be bested in argument but did not boast of his powers, that they had to kill him for his very being revealed their weaknesses.

Their excuse to justify the death sentence to their rulers, the Romans that, "He would be King" is transformed by Jesus into the warning which subsequent centuries have largely ignored 

                                                        "My kingdom is not of this world".

There was no internet in the first century but in the Empire the roads enabled reports of events in far off places to travel incredibly quickly. The Synagogue in Psidian Antioch heard the news from Jerusalem almost as quickly as did the Galileans so they were not hearing the story of the crucifixion of Our Lord, out of the blue, for the first time.

It must have been, however, exceedingly difficult for them to hear that Paul now knew Jesus to be the Son of God. and also knew that they had all been called to become  likewise "children of the Most High".

In today's Gospel reading "that time" is the "Last Supper" when John and the other Apostles became gifted by FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT with the spiritual knowledge and right intentions to become able to confect the Blessed Sacrament in the New Liturgy that would  replace Temple Worship in the era of our New Testament.

Without any trepidation, bluff St Thomas speaks directly to Jesus:

‘Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?’ 

and Jesus answers in an equally direct manner 

 ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’

Even though institutional Churches have very often scandalised to the extent that we have to doubt the presence of Jesus within them, we know that he will be with us until the end of time for even if "The Church" fails, he, in his dying breath, assured us of his forever presence in the New Holy Family which is the "Church of Love" the safe haven for our souls during our lifetimes when we are beset by the "things of this world" .
