Dear Lord, help me to truly open my heart, the depths of my being, to be able to receive your revelations and thus know, love and serve during your gift to me of life. You know that each day I try to concentrate my being on You and never quite make it as the total distraction that is this material world always intrudes and ruins my best intentions.  You are now reminding me that You did only the Father's Will on Earth by "Living for" each one of us and that I have to follow this example to become able to do 

" Your will on Earth as it is in heaven"

I  cannot serve you more than by loving my neighbour as myself.  It is by praying for the salvation of each and every person whom I meet during my lifetime, that I can come to know, love and serve You in this world and thus accept your grace to prepare myself for the life of the world to come.

You know that I have always had difficulty in following your teaching about parables that is today's Gospel reading. You also know how many times I have tried to understand Father Bailey's thesis on that subject. You also know how he was commended to me recently as a "man of integrity". May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

Dear Lord, Help me to learn how to care for all "my neighbours" with unselfish devotion, as I did for your priest Philip, and for all my living family with the natural love that seeks only that their souls become enlightened and thus able to accept your Grace and also that Your Mercy brings Salvation to all who have  already died and need to experience the penitential grace of Purgatory in preparation for Your Parousia.

I thank you Lord for today's reminders and pray that I never again lose touch with Jesus, True God and True Man, True Saviour of the World who to do your will lived and died for us that we truly become the "beloved of My Father". May this prayer become part of the heavenly chorus of praise and petition that is led by Our Lady Queen of Heaven as we all await the "Second Coming" promised by Jesus Our Lord. Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus, Come.

God knows that I am often close to despair when I remember with horror my sinfulness which has been dominant throughout most of my life. He also knows the many pangs of remorse that I have suffered  accompanied by fear that I am not truly repentant but only making an empty show of accepting the Mercy which he pours over our "flesh", our worldly being.

All the Saints have been examples for us to follow and become united with in our individual journeys through the life of this world. Today St Paul has no doubts, "It is no longer I who live, it is Christ who lives in me ", he was saved from his self-chosen path, meticulous devotion to the Torah which had revealed itself in his fierce persecution of the brethren who met in the Portico of Solomon, by the direct intervention of the Resurrection.

The interconnectedness of individual beings is expressed in modern times by using the image "network" which is the lifeless equivalent of the many "vines" of human solidarity that had preceded the Incarnation. 

Jesus is the "True Vine" because he is "True God and True Man" and he is the sole source of the Grace that enables us to avoid the clutching tendrils of sinful vines and know that we can always choose to be grafted into the  Living Vine that flourishes from the wood of the cross.

Saints are human events in history who have been able to never lose  sight of the "mystery of their being". They have truly known that their origin is in God but that they are responsible for their own conduct and duty to know, love and serve throughout their lifetimes.

Although we cannot ignore the failings of Institutional Church, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT has never left us to stew in the sinful worldliness of many priests, popes, and other prelates and directly revealed himself through unlikely and dissimilar individuals who become "mystical events" in the history of Christianity.

St Brigette and St Paul are as unlikely a pair of humans as you could get but both were touched in this temporal world by the Infinity that is beyond understanding.

Those who have to strive  to  join the "Communion of Saints", can do so even though the Institutional Church is repeating the failure of the Prophets and the Temple. We can resist sin by accessing the grace we all need in the Church of Love "Woman behold your son, Son behold your mother" which is as much a fact of revelation as "Thou art Peter". The New Holy Family has never been marred by any attachment to the " kingdom of this world" and is our sure hope of the world to come. 

May the Lord our God forgive me for my sins and for the weakness of faith that still troubles my conscience. Amen

We do not know a lot about the women who accompanied Jesus and his disciples on the missionary journeys he made throughout Palestine. In fact, we know very little about the measurable human time that was witnessed in participation from within by the Incarnation. 

Even the first of our "Jesus Generations" consisted mostly of those who were "blessed" for believing without having witnessed in "Real-Time". 

Mary Magdalen has a a unique place in History for it was to her that IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT first revealed in his own Resurrected Human Body what it is that the we will become if we completely accept and obey his revealed will for each one of us. "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God".

The "Don't touch me" moment has inspired many artists to produce an image of that instant when the Resurrection was announced and much has been surmised about the woman therein depicted.

Much of the  non-Scriptural literature that 80 generations of Christianity have produced about this  Mary may have been written in good-faith but the only truth that comes from God to guide us in our lives on Earth that we need to know about her is that;

Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

What could be more wonderful than this?

God knows that I am one of the many who find it very hard not to blame him for the appalling events that continue at this very moment to disgrace all of our humanity in Gaza.

We have always found it hard to understand how it is that our "Loving Father" begins his revelations of himself in the slaughter of Egyptians and the first recorded "ethnic cleansing" to make way for the "Chosen Ones".

Moses brought the Tablets of the Law down from the mountain but was met with the Golden Calf. The prophets repeatedly called the people back to the way of the Lord but during the centuries of the Old Testament there was never a completely righteous generation.

We can never understand the ways of God but we do know that Infinite Knowledge is exactly that and that IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT must know "In the Beginning" all the possible outcomes that can result from the "Liberty" with which he chooses to endow his "Image and likeness".

He did not encode Adam & Eve or Abraham. William the Conqueror chose to invade England. Trump or Netanyahu are free to act as they wish. My sins are my choice but our all knowing, prescient God cannot ever have been surprised by any temporal event.

God also knows  "in the beginning" that the only possible way for mankind to be able to atone for the damage done to his Creative Love by our refusal of his Loving Kindness was for the Word to make the perfect Sacrifice and so also "In the beginning" he prepared a "dwelling place " for Incarnate Son.

I am not the only one who is disappointed by way the Church founded by the Perfect Sacrifice has not lived up to her mission but we also know that we have never been left alone for the grace known "In the Beginning" is still with us. Theotokos with maternal love, still cares for the "Beloved Disciple" and for us all who choose to be part of the Unseen Church of Love, the New Holy Family that Jesus created directly from the cross.

Dear Lord, help me never to forget that your plan for the salvation of mankind included Mary from the beginning. It is she that has never been absent even when your Institutional Church has acted as badly as  your Chosen People did in the days of the prophets, in your day and are continuing so to do today. She has been present with you since  the creation of the world and by her "Yes, be it done unto me according to thy Word" confirmed that we sinners could be saved when we align our choice with hers.

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you,

Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

I know that what I read in the Mass Readings each morning is the record of how God has revealed to all mankind "the way, the truth and the life". He thus tells all of us how we are to become the individual person whom he knows, loves and guides throughout our mortal life.

I am still straining and bothered that I have never known and welcomed God as does Abraham when resting at Mamre. I have never had to suffer with  confidence, as does Paul, that my personal pain can be joined to that of Jesus in atonement for my own and the sins of others.

I can appreciate the exasperation of Martha at the domestic confusion which she has been left to confront on her own but have never had or recognised the overwhelming attraction that the presence of the Lord had for Mary as she became oblivious to all but him.

I pray this morning that my heart can be opened to know that which I believe with my mind is always the  loving power which consumes the hearts of all the Saints and that I too, helped by your grace, can scrape away the encumbrances that obscure the pure light of Holy Spirit from being welcomed into my soul.

Dear Lord, May my prayers become as acceptable as those of Mary and all those of the generations who have preceded me in faith. Help me to overcome the "void" that sometimes obscures my awareness of you. I am totally in your hands help me to have complete trust in this prayer. Let it not be a mere form of words. Amen

Everything that I am and know is as a human being living now in this material world but aware that the  overpoweringly great  universe is a creation just as are all the consciousnesses that it contains.

I am because I can reflect God's Love back to him and I can only do this when I choose "to know, love and serve".

Dear Lord, help me to persevere  in the struggle that becoming a true disciple in this eightieth generation that has lived within your completed revelation. I have to be alive with you as were Mary, the Apostles and disciples 2000 years ago. Except for Mary, all those who knew you then were confused as they were irresistibly drawn by the force of your "Being" but were also humans moulded by the culture of their time and place and by your Revelations to them and their forefathers.

Palestine of 2000 years ago had been blessed by the direct guidance of IAMIAM for centuries but we have to accept that the Chosen People had somehow failed in their response and so the Incarnation was announced  not to the "Learned and Clever", those who in their awareness of self had lost sight of God, or to an Institution, but to an absolute religious, social and cultural nonentity, who had the humility to be no more than the teenaged handmaid of the Lord.

Two thousand years of human activity and scientific progressive have left their mark on all of us but the possibility to freely choose to say "Yes" to blessings obeyed into being by the Crucified Son of God and Son of Mary never changes. 

We are still all able to also obey and know who is revealed through the words of Isaiah. Not only are we all able to believe and obey but we have to accept that there is nothing more important contained in Human History than the Revealed Relationship of God and Man contained in the Scriptures.

Behold my servant  whom I have chosen,

my beloved with whom I am well pleased

I will put my spirit upon him 

And he will proclaim Justice to the Gentiles.

I begin each day by scouring round the conglomeration of memories, ideas and thoughts that  always assails me as my first awareness of being when I wake up.

I thus have to try to locate and respond to the call to each of us that Our Father maintains from the moment of our conception to the end of our lives on Earth. God is constantly aware in his perfect love of his creation of the multitude of  beings that he creates and knows all mankind by our personal names.

As I read the Scriptures I know that I am on the right path that is the road-map revealed and completed by the human life of Incarnate Son, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT,  that we each have to follow to become our perfect "I", the unique image and likeness that has been given only to "me".

Today Moses reveals how it is that the People of God can make themselves known as part of the event we know as the Passover. It is in this way that God is beginning on Earth by Humankind the Salvation from the effects of their sin that must be inaugurated by Human Beings to be effective, that he himself completes also as true man, dead on a cross.

It is no wonder that I am in awe by the mere fact of my own consciousness. I am part of this "Human Being" of which, no matter how wonderful we seem to be, there is always something greater here.

I tell you that something greater than the Temple is here

And if you had known what this means;

"I desire mercy not sacrifice"

You would not have condemned the guiltless.

For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.

Today's Scripture takes us back in time to the generation when Our Father, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT confirmed that our awareness of being can only become reality when we choose to accept that IAMIAM really does choose to talk to Moses.

"The Burning Bush" opened an Eternal direct line from God to man that we are still each able to access to know that "Our Father" IS and what he intends for each of us to become.

In the Old Testament the pure being of God, Glory, is always obscured by the historical failures of sinful man just as in my own being personal sin has often chosen to disobey what I know to be God's Truth.

The New Testament confirms that mankind even in possession of the "Direct line" revealed to Moses had yet still been overcome by delight in our own being and preferred "self" to God. Each soul since those days has been able to choose to live in the Pure Light of Resurrection Faith but God knows that we are still failing by still choosing self over God.

The time in which my generation is now living has largely been given up to materialism for it is indeed delightful to satisfy the needs of our bodies and easier than to face up to and teach the truth that comes from God, to believe that accumulation of wealth is the only Good we can provide for ourselves and our children.

Dear Lord, Help me to avoid the "noise" of living in this 21st Century that has passed since you completed in human pain the salvation of your "image and likeness". Help me to truly accept the pure light of the "Burning Bush" that you refocused by the immensity of Your Incarnation. Let me not forget that you and Mary have both lived sinless lives on Earth and that her prayers can help the sinners of this world obtain the Mercy that which our sinfulness should in Justice be denied. You know all that I am, do and think. Help me to choose the way of being that can obtain a semblance of the perfection that is as you "lowly and gentle of heart" and be prepared also to accept whatever suffering this might entail. You know that I make my prayer in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

It is through the response of Moses to the fire that blazed in all its power but did not destroy that I can begin today by myself responding to all that has been recorded in Scripture of how that moment confirmed that the "God" of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is, has and always will be the one source of the holiness that each of us can accept to ensure that we truly become the little ones, the mere children that we can never be more than, for there is nothing greater in being human than each of us being able to share in God's own "Joyfulness in Being" by obeying his revealed will.

Moses and all the "names" of Scripture never become  greater than the moment of knowing themselves to be the a "child of God" and all evil comes into the World whenever even the least important of us forgets this and chooses to please himself rather than to obey the Word of the Lord.

Today Jesus, in thanking God for the simplicity of the completion of Revelation that is his mission from the Father tells us unequivocally to believe that what he Jesus, the Word of God, reveals to us by word and deed completes IAMIAM's teaching that we need to safeguard us on "the way, truth and life".

As a human child I knew that each moment of my life was different than the preceding one but that it was still "my life". It is with this simple certainty of being that is a child's that I can truly know my place in creation and obey. 

The learned and the clever, the Scribes and the Pharisees, all the Doctors of the Church and dead secular philosophers and scientists know now that they have never known more than the uneducated teenager of Nazareth who was chosen before the beginning of time to become "Mother of the Word Incarnate", Theotokos whom today the Church celebrates as "Our Lady of Mount Carmel" the inspiration of the Order dedicated to her pondering in her heart all that was revealed to her.

Dear Lord, May my prayers become united with those of the "Mother of my Lord" that all we sinners on Earth accept the Mercy which she witnessed her Son bring into this world by the suffering which broke her maternal heart. Let me not forget that it was the last of the original English Carmelites who built the parish in which I live. There have always been individuals within the Institutional Church who have resisted its corruption just as there were Priests, Scribes and Pharisees who welcomed Jesus as much as did the "little ones" who became his friends.

I know that there is no reason that my time on earth should be smooth sailing from day to day with each moment passing in the peaceful awareness of reality that is promised by "The Lord's Prayer",  the "Our Father".

God knows that I often have to force myself into completing the petitions that are his guidance as how to maintain from our side the response that his, in my case, "My John" unceasingly calls to each one of us by our individual names.

The Scriptures are composed of the responses of only some of the individuals whose inspired words and deeds match the Divine Righteousness God has created all of us to reflect. There are billions of others of us whose words and deeds are known only to Our Heavenly Father.

Dear Lord, help me to get myself out of the "mud of the deep where there is no foothold". Help me to be absorbed into your mystical body and bear witness in word and deed to my experience of your loving Mercy. You know that I am afraid of punishment for I know that Justice demands it. You also know that I am horrified by the image of you cursing the towns who refused to listen to your revelation. I also know that there is no Righteous Justice on either side at this moment in Your Holy Land. You know that I am not the only "little one" who is confused in this way. Help us to find clarity by living only in your Light;

As for we in our poverty and pain, 

let your salvation raise us up, 

Then we will praise our God's name with a song, 

We will glorify him with thanksgiving.

Jesus' words today are like a slap in the face, a blow to the midriff leaving us speechless.

There are no responses that can be made by us the recipients of such stark violence from the mouth of the one who is "meek and gentle of heart" who are now unequivocally refused the "loving-kindness" that we believe it has been the purpose of the Scriptures to reveal to us.

In fact, Scripture has revealed that True Reality is a relationship between the immeasurable liberty of God and the wonderful freedom of "image and likeness" which has to be self-limited into the boundaries that is Love, the very being IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

Our material bodies are limited, encoded by the Scientific laws that we are still deciphering but my soul, my consciousness , "iam" has the resemblance to Our Father that is a gift beyond understanding and cannot be forced, even by God, into "peace".  

We can know that the Incarnation has happened, happens and is still happening and that it is the only way that mankind's misuse of our God-like being can be reversed because that is what Scripture reveals.

The only way for us to receive pardon from our sins is to know the full horror of "Eli, Eli Lama Sabachtani". Today's "Hard saying" from Matthew's Gospel forces us to remain rooted in the reality of Jesus' pain, to believe everything that comes from the mouth of God and that we have all already been chosen. 

It is, however, left for  each one of us  to make the right response on our own behalf for we are all totally free with an individual freedom that comes from God.

I can receive the Mass Readings for today with "joy in my heart" for as I listen to "The Word" I truly know that I am enfolded by Holy Spirit in the  pure love that is FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and that I can respond with acceptable sincerity as I raise my heart and mind to the "Invisible God", the Father of the only Son, the Holy Spirit, the revelation of Eternal Reality.

In Deuteronomy  Moses completes the revelation that has prepared the Descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to enter into and occupy the "Promised Land". We have to obey the Will of God as it has been revealed to us on Mt Sinai and accept it as the only essential element of our being in order that our own consciences become trustworthy guidance on our way through life.

Today St Paul sings a new psalm of total acceptance of  the Faith that he has received directly from the Resurrection. God has renewed his creation and is himself the "Church" which is the community of those who those who truly believe that we  can choose for ourselves to be united to become the Mystical Body of which Jesus is the Head.

And who is this Jesus? Son of God. God from God. Begotten not made . Of one being with the Father. Son of Mary. Begotten not made. Gestating as we all have done but without sin, perfect humanity from embryo to the tomb. He lived and suffered on Earth for 33 years only for the benefit of the humanity which today continues to reject the Eternal Love promised by the Resurrection to those who strive to become "Good Neighbours" to enemies as well as to friends.

Dear Lord help me to avoid my personal sins and let all those who are now choosing to live the self-centred lives that are the source of all evil in this world accept the Grace that can fill us all with Joy. May my prayers join with those of Mary and all the saints that we sinners on Earth and in Purgatory come to understand that temptation can be withstood for that is why the Incarnation, Crucifixion and Resurrection completed your revelation of what it means to be "Children of God". Amen

I do not know what more I can do to bear witness to the revelations made by God over the centuries than these the reflections with which I begin each new day of my life.

It is a very rare event that they are read by any other person.

Today Jesus tells us that we should shout out to the whole world what we have learnt from the "still quiet voice" that whispers into our heart and we should do this without fear.

Each day as I write, I am not afraid but can always hear objections that could be raised to the words of my personal faith by 

• The Institutional Church.  
• Materialistic philosophers. 
• Our Father

Just as the Old Testament records mankind's failure to live up to its revelation of  the loving guidance of God so does the History of the Church from "Those days" up to now, for she has always been too tangled up in the things of this world to be true to the Holy Spirit, the Guardian in this world of our Souls and Sacraments.

Science and Materialism are wonderful products of human intelligence but entrap us in a closed circle that fails to answer the search for meaning that is completed only at each individual's end of mortal life.

I am much more than a "Sparrow of God" and he knows everything that I have ever thought or done, wished for or regretted, seen or heard. Every hair of my head is counted as is every sin of my being. I have to respond to my life in the light of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT with a two-way open heart, receiving and returning with thanks everything that Our Father lays open before me.

Dear Lord. let my prayer be acceptable and may I continue to know, love and serve with fearless sincerity for I really do believe that You know me. Amen.

Jesus completes the revelations that begin in the Book of Genesis. We have to use "Wisdom" to live with integrity. We have to avoid all the ensnarements of hypocrisy into which self-righteousness can so easily lead us.

St Benedict knew that "My Kingdom is not of this World" means exactly what it says and he also knew that the Church of his day was not fulfilling the will of her founder . He also knew that human pride can sully even the most sincere of our intentions even in our personal devotion to Our Father. His "rule" was to be an aid for individual Christian Living in but not of this world and could be considered as the "Shema" of completed revelation.

Jesus tells us that the more we abandon the things of this world the greater will be our reward in the New Creation. Today we are not told to dishonour our family ties, break the fourth/fifth commandment but to remember that the way to perfection begins with the First Commandment which leads us into a new family of the Children of God.

We all have to remember this each day of our lives. 

St Benedict knew that the Church founded on St Peter had already become entangled in this world, can his remaining monks be sure that they are meeting the requirements of their own vows when living in the vast almost empty spaces that are their remaining monasteries?

God knows, that there is much more important Christian work that needs to be done in my country than attending to the education of the wealthy, upper-classes and promoting the elite exclusivism of the Latin Mass Society.

Dear Lord, You know that at this moment, I am overcome by my own sense of total weakness and futility confronted as I am with the incomprehensible vastness of Your Creation. Yet, even my puny self is able to know and somewhat understand the difference between the knowledge we have found out for ourselves, and what you have revealed to us.

I do know that I have a brain and that controls my body and can be analysed and probed in its physical reality by the Scientifically Enlightened, the Learned and Clever of the last three or so centuries.

I also know that I have consciousness that is aware that it is an immortal "image and likeness" created and revealed by the Love that is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT forever in the True Reality, that is the Your Holy Mind.

It is this consciousness my own "iam" that reads today's mass readings.

I can experience the guilt that almost paralyses his brothers when Joseph reveals himself to them and the simultaneous joy of Joseph's forgiveness, the loving mercy that is God's participation in that historical event  recorded in the Scriptures.

I am inspired to the piety that is the liturgical beauty of the Psalm for we have no words that can record the "wonder" that is safety and peace in the You.

I too receive the mission given to the Apostles that enables us all to live to the full the life that we have been "loved" into being to complete. The Garden, Covenants and Law are completed by the Life, Death and Resurrection of our Incarnate God.

I am still, tiny, weak, puny, insignificant and pathetic but never "futile" when I put all my trust, belief and faith in "Our Father".

May my sins and the sins of the whole world continue to be forgiven and may we all become as children putting their hands into those of their parents with the undoubting confidence of unconditional love. Amen.

All of us who have ever lived have been created as the pinnacle of material being and thus our bodies are limited by the laws of science which include "entropy", the complete physical death which cannot be escaped.

It has always been possible for each of us to live as if we were nothing more than this but mankind has always known that the "life" which is no more in any dead body, even of the animal he has successfully hunted is, "something greater here".

The "something greater here" can become known as "image and likeness" but begins at birth as a non-physical awareness of self and each one of our physical responses to the safety of "my mother".

The "something greater" can become known as "image and likeness" because "Our Father" has always shared the absolutely supreme wonder of his loving freedom with "the apple of his eye" who is completely unrestricted in his personal choice.

IAMIAM has completed the revelation of himself as IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT which began in the twelve tribes of Israel, with Jesus and his Twelve Apostles. The Bible contains everything that we need to know about how to say "Yes" to "Our Father" and yet we continue to add to the weight of sins that began with Adam.

It seemed that in that original Jesus generation there was a community of faith and love that could not be shifted and yet the Momentum of Mammon has continued unabated and even increased in my own times to deny to God's face the need for forgiveness of any of our sins.

Dear Lord , You know that I am a sinner and deserve punishment but so many of your children are swamped by this world  which has lost itself in materialism and through no fault of their own are in grave danger of losing their souls. May my prayers join those of Mary and all the saints and bring true enlightenment back into the world. Forgive me for what I have personally done and witnessed without public protest and may the Church founded on Peter become true to her roots. St Francis was able to stand naked before you, she too can strip herself of all worldliness to truly become your Mystical Body but it has to come about by her own willingness to be true to your word.

Along with Jacob, I always wrestle, but with myself, when I try to begin each day in prayer, searching for the "holiness" God has created me to choose to be my way of life.

As I begin my daily, sometimes hourly, struggle not to lose sight of God within the confusion of data that composes my being, I know that I am a son of the Church founded on St Peter.

I am thus an heir to the Covenants recorded in the Old Testament and also the recipient of the command to Love that is the "Shema" and fulfilled by a life of adherence to the "Tablets of the Law".

I also know that God  never ceased to guide his people adding through the prophets more to our awareness of his "unknowableness" and of our self-willed failings and the means to atone for them.

God's guidance for all humanity was completed when the events of the Gospels ended 2000 years ago in Israel and the Eucharist is to remain as the Sacramental Real Presence until the end of time.

I am but one man who has sinned much and who devoutly seeks pardon. Yet, each day of my life I am also aware of the grotesque insults that we human beings fling and have flung into the face of our loving Father. I can seek forgiveness for my own sins but for the present and historical sins of the Church and Society I can do no more than mourn as I turn my inward eye to Calvary. Forgive us once more, Dear Jesus.

The events recorded in the scriptures all take place in this world and are witnessed by individual human beings in human time but they also involve IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and thus have universal, eternal significance.

This morning in Genesis it is remembered that the man "Jacob" was assured by the Lord that the place where he was then sleeping was to be his and his descendants for evermore.

I am sure that what is happening in Gaza at this moment as I type these words is not at all part of the intention of the Lord as he began his care of the Children of Abraham in the person of Jacob, at the first "House" of God, Bethel.

No matter how much I have sinned during my lifetime, Our Father never ceases to reach out to me pleading from his cross that I use my freedom to accept his Love and reject everything that does not comply with his revealed will.

The People of the Old Testament continued and still continue in their rebellious relationship with IAMIAM that could not grow beyond the sinfulness that is always the result of human self-love but are always present in His Love that is Beyond all Understanding. It was for their sake that God began the Incarnation in the womb of a teenager in Nazareth.

The Son of God made himself known to his Chosen People by deeds of healing and feeding, by his miracles that shocked many into an awareness that the Baptizer's call to repentance was being continued.

Two thousand years later we have billions of words that record the reactions of millions of us to the events of History but there has been nothing added that is more important for each individual one of us than the words and events of those years in Palestine.

That is why we should all try to return to and become part of the Jesus Generation. Help me with your grace. Amen

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Although I can never forget the sinfulness that has been the hallmark of most of my life I sometimes feel that I too can be an active part of the revelation that in today's readings begins nearly 3000 years ago with Isaiah, confirms itself in the peaceful liturgical beauty of the psalms and as "bodily stigmata" is proclaimed by St. Paul.

In today's Gospel Jesus appoints 72 of his disciples to become the means by which the "Chosen People" are reminded that it is to bear witness to the Love that God has for them that they have been brought into the world.

The 72 are not remodelled as angels. They remain men in this world but abandon all attachments to the past and provision for the future as they become the first missionaries of the gestating New Testament. We do not know their names but they are certainly not "Anonymous Christians", can there be any such?,  for they are known and loved, as are all of us, in the perfection of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT but  "in those days" also in the "Real-Time Presence" of Son.

This "precursory Church" has no need of any sort of dogmatic or hierarchic structure for God is with them. Each one of the pairs is blessed by God and receives the Word that is to be preached directly from God.

Similarly during his dying moments on Calvary Our Saviour spoke directly to Mary and John. We can be sure that it is out of that divine commission to mother and friend that the Church of Love receives Grace to overcome the failings that have been and still are apparent in the Institution founded on Peter that has not lived up to " My Kingdom is not of this World". 

Jesus warned the returning first missionaries that there is only one outcome to life and mission that can be counted as life lived to fulfilment. We must never lose sight of Our Father and his will for us that will lead us all to Life Everlasting. Amen

At his trial before Pilate Jesus makes it absolutely clear that it is not his mission to create a "kingdom" in this world. 

IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT always has had the power, "Legions of Angels", to stop Pharoah, Darius, Alexander, Caesar, Atilla, and all their more modern equivalent creators of Earthly Kingdoms.

We, generations of mankind, have continued to uninterruptedly succeed each other into the inheritance, spiritual, cultural and material that our human freedom continues to accumulate. 

I am sitting here struggling to begin my day striving for peace within the quandary that Jacob's despicable cheating arouses in me, in prayerful meditation because Human Freedom, Original Sin, has damaged the Divine Perfection of Creation. 

As "image and likeness" each one of us has within our humanity the "almost divine" freedom to choose to accept the grace won for us by Jesus to undo within our own being the effects of the sin created by Adam's choice. 

In Genesis Rebekah and Jacob conspire to acquire the fruits of this world, the "Kingdom" to be rejected by Jesus. They thus chose to embezzle the worldly inheritance that  continues for most of us at least for some of the time to obscure the infinite Glory of Being that is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

The New Testament is God Incarnate speaking directly to each one of us. He is not immaterial transcendent being  but "True Man and True God. Begotten not made. One Being with the Father". He is a true man inheriting all that we do except for sin. 

Today in the Gospel his humanity is revealed in the common-sense  wisdom that he uses to illustrate the unimaginably unique novelty, their common inheritance, the three groups of disciples do not yet fully comprehend that they are facing.

My very first conscious attempt to grasp at a rational understanding of my own being begins in the English Penny Catechism. "Why did God make you?" "God made me to know, love and serve Him in this world and be happy in the next".

It is from that point, 80 years ago, that I began my fitful efforts to learn how to live righteously. These efforts begin in the Church founded on St Peter. She is herself the guardian of  Scriptures and of the Sacramental Body of Christ.

Scriptures begin in the Book of Genesis  an inspired recollection of how sinful man survived and grew as an independent human "spiritual freedom" in the vastness of "being" revealed by the stars and the specific physical necessities of being a "coded" animal living within the divinely printed circuits of material being.

Our "freedom" has always looked beyond the stars that become silent awe in an unlight-polluted desert night and we have always "meditated", let our minds wander outside of our bodies, as did Isaac in today's first reading.

In the Psalm for today we join in the joy of knowing that Isaac's "meditation" is not a closed circuit of self-expansion but that it is received by the Lord and answered with the revelation of He who, although himself beyond all knowing, knows and wants only Good for each one of us.

The response of the Righteous Israel is recreated in our own beings by the words that separate and link the readings for today.

"Give thanks to the Lord for he is Good, for His Mercy endures for ever."

The New Testament is the proof that the Jewish Temple Religion did not complete the promises to God made by their Patriarchs. 

For the last 80 generations we have had it made clear to us how to achieve the personal holiness with which to give the thanks and praise which are his due to Our Father and yet we are still continuing to let our personal beings create evil just as did Adam and Eve in the Garden and the Chosen People in the Promised Land.

Dear Lord, forgive me for my sins and let the prayers of Mary and all the saints re-kindle the Faith of the Church that she might learn that she has never had any business becoming enthralled in the things of this world as she was only founded to help souls to become dwellers in your presence to await the New Creation at the end of time. Come soon Lord Jesus to bring the promised New Creation Maranatha.

St Paul assures the Ephesians that by their decisions to follow the revelations that the Apostles have proclaimed they have become something greater than the reality of their lives in Ephesus on Earth could have achieved on its own.

When we read the Scriptures we are all reminded that we do all have an ongoing choice between dwelling in the "Great Temple of Diana of the Ephesians" or in the "household of God".

Each one of us can make the right choice with  complete sincerity of heart and thus become part of the the "dwelling place for God" that has never ceased to grow since Jesus assured Mary and John that they would be the New Holy Family.

Jesus also promised that he would support for the rest of time "His Church" so that we, the millions who have not seen, can know for certain that God Incarnate purified a way which would enable us to live knowing that HEISWAYTRUTHLIFE and thus become ready for the "New Creation".

IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT can only be Good and so his Love is still present in this World. Scriptures, the history of his relationship with mankind has been preserved by Jews and Christians. 

As I raise my heart and mind to God this morning, however, he knows that for most of his created time mankind has preferred to be not part of his household and that we have largely forgotten the wounds we hammered into the body he begot for us so that the sins of  man could also be atoned for by "True man and True God" and not just canceled by Supreme Power IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

Dear Lord, I bow my head before you in personal shame for the many sins with which I have stained my soul. I know that it is the combination of billions of personal sins that creates the Great Evil which human will continues to bring into the World. May we all open our hearts and minds to listen to you and know that every moment that we are not aware of You is a waste of the time which we are given to know, love and serve. May my prayers become part of the Community of "Love in your Presence" that is Mary and all your saints which can never cease to praise you and seeks pardon for all sinners here on Earth and in Purgatory. May St Thomas continue to care for the Christians who have remained faithful in his name,  for centuries. Amen

I am but a sinful man who, although not a scholar seeks to not only obey but to understand to the best of his ability the will of God as revealed in the Scriptures.

The Old Testament begins in The Garden where mankind is a solitary "i" in the presence of his creator, the Supreme "I".

What we know as "Genesis" is an interpretation, inspired by God, of events that had occurred over many generations before and had become part of the awareness of being that had defined Jews, at that time enslaved in Egypt, as the "Chosen People".

God has never lost touch with the descendants of Isaac, but where is the "Great Nation" to be descended from the child of Hagar?

Dear Lord, you know that I have always tried to do your will, to know, love and serve but have often failed miserably. You know that I am a messy accumulation of good and bad but have always known that I sin through my own fault and that it is my own responsibility to welcome you Son of God and Son of Mary for you bring redemption to all mankind regardless of race. You know that I have often been disturbed by your "choice of some" which I have always seen as rejection of others and that today I  have noticed for the first time that the "Gentiles on the other side" also reject you as did your own people of the Synagogue in Nazareth, when first they meet you as you begin your mission.

Tuesday Week 13 Ordinary Time

The disciples are reprimanded for their "lack of faith". Abraham and Lot are saved by theirs. I am still receiving and trying to follow mine. 

God in his infinite liberty chooses to reveal himself and part of our created being is the created freedom that can become either Faith or Self-Destruction.

Everything that we know about anything takes place in the minds of real people who are responding to our own personal awareness of subjective being and also of all the "Other" that is not within  the individual subject that each one of us is.

The People of Genesis are aware that their first forefather Adam had damaged creation and regarded natural disasters the Flood, today's obliteration of Sodom and Gomorrah as evidence of the Creator's displeasure. It  seems that God, at the beginning of time, has patience with the uninstructed ones and today we learn of the partial success of Abraham's pleadings directly to God in yesterday's first reading.

In today's Gospel the  "Disciples in the Boat" the product of all the Faith in Word and Deed of the Old Testament, are in the  presence of God Incarnate with them in the boat, and yet are still afraid they are about to suffer a violent death by a storm, a Natural event.

Although the Incarnation, Life, Death and Resurrection have completely renewed God's revelation of himself, mankind's "Faith" , part of "Image and Likeness" must always be complete and never change.

Noah and Abraham trusted to the extent that they felt secure enough to negotiate with the "All Powerful"; they had Faith. The disciples became panic-stricken by their lack of control of the boat but continue to learn from their Rabbi; they grew into Faith. 

I have often failed to bear witness  to the Faith that is my straightforward "Yes" to God and all that he reveals but I have never despaired and pray to God that I can continue to live as did Abraham and the Disciples in the Boat, growing in Faith, Hope and Love for what remains of my life in the time of this Earth.
