Yesterday we heard Jesus uttering a grave warning to the towns of Galilee. They had not completely accepted the revelations he had made to them even though they had also witnessed the miraculous healing of the sick and heard him preach.

In the first reading, Isaiah attributes the success of their enemies as a punishment wreaked on Judah because of its backsliding from its part in the covenant. God deals with Israel and the other nations as if those nations in the Old Testament were each a communal person and selects only a few individuals to become the prophets through whom he explains his purpose.

That has also been to this day the attitude of the American Evangelical Christians towards the resettlement of Palestine by the Jews who had survived the holocaust perpetrated by the failed Christian Culture of Europe. They have taken on the position of Old Testament prophets and regard the slaughter and theft of  Palestinian lands as God's support for his chosen people.

Not only I, but every individual born into the world has no responsibility for the historical events that have resulted in the reality we find ourselves to be part of at the moment of our birth.

Neither has God, for he has created us to be free to choose how we live out our lives and what to do with the creation into which we are born. There is nothing that we have done to modify creation that is directly attributable to God.

We are indeed wondrous beings but far less than the mere children, in comparison to Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that Jesus praises the Father for making recipients of his revelation.

There can be no doubt that the Jews are special in this world for it is from their physical race, now known to be DNA, that Father, Son and Holy Spirit chose to be begotten as true man. They are also "learned and clever" and it is this "cleverness" that has lead to the Atheism of Zionists who have slaughtered thousands to fulfill their self perceived destiny.

God has created us to become aware of the wonderous eternity into which we have been created to bow before him in perfect worship and live accordingly in this world by knowing, loving and serving.

This is the Theology of the "mere children" schooled by the penny catechism and has, by the learned and clever, been expanded into millions of books but none of them greater in significance than the two words "Our Father" with which Jesus taught us to begin our prayer.

Dear Lord, help me to become by accepting your grace, one of your children who can pray to you in sincerity having learned what love is in the arms of our mothers. You too accepted with joy the human love with which you were welcomed into the lives of Mary and Joseph. It is impossible for any human being except yourself to truly "know" the love that you are and the joy that even my penitence can bring into your kingdom. May Mary and all the saints join in all the prayer that we sinners on earth proclaim as we raise our minds and hearts to You our Almighty Father who is the timelessness of Heaven. May my sins and those of all near to me be forgiven and may we all find peace to live calmly unto the end of our worldly lives. Amen.
