Friday Week 3 Ordinary Time

I always try to remember that whatever is recorded in the Old Testament was read and interpreted by Jesus during the "public life" he shared with the Apostles.

The Psalms that are attributed to David continue to stir in us the real-time emotions/reactions that were experienced by him the "King of the Jews" at different moments of his life 3000 years ago. They are also  a "Prayer- Book" used, 2000 years ago,  by the first assemblies in the Portico of Solomon that was the "mustard seed" that has grown into the billions of pages that comprise the texts that are the Liturgy that is still in use today.

Today, when we hear/read that Jesus spoke privately to the disciples and explained everything that was hidden in his parables, it would be easy to think that "the secret" he shared was somehow the preserve of "chosen ones".  

This is the sin of those who use the revelations made by IAMIAM to glorify themselves in this world even as they "sincerely" devote themselves to "Law", Scripture and Liturgy, priests, scribes and theologians.

IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT chose to make his final and totally complete revelation of the purpose of created being by accepting for himself the created life cycle experienced by all created animals but understood only by God and those spiritual beings to whom he chose to reveal himself. 

We, the whole world, all human souls, to whom the Apostles were instructed to bring the Good News, and are thus "the unbounded chosen ones ", just as the Jews before us, still not getting it right. 

We are totally free souls, (image and likeness) capable of recognising that it is INFINITE CREATIVE LOVE that creates and holds us in BEING who somehow become more involved with the things of this world and our own selves to the extent of shutting out the Grace of "Our Father" and thus enabling ourselves to ignore his Loving Will.

It is the "Love that comes from God" that chooses to save us from Ultimate Evil, the awareness of non-being which is unimaginable eternal pain and gave us the final confirmation of this during his agony on  the cross,  as he created for our souls the "place" of perfect surety in this world, the New Holy Family., the Church of Love.

Thursday Week 3 Ordinary Time

Today I am asking myself why I am again beginning my day with responding to events that happened 3000 years ago in the case of David and 2000 years ago in the case of Jesus. In fact, I do ask that same question, not in exactly the same words, but more than once each day.

Each day that I try to answer that question, I am reminded that I have not lived my life as perfectly as I would have liked. I also tell myself that I am unique and have lived in the reality of worldly time as a      real person. I was and still am because the Creator of the whole Universe created me and still knows and guides me along the true way to true Life which begins after my bodily death.

It is right and fitting that I should bow down before the Lord Our God in sorrow-filled gratitude that he has revealed this to me one of his children by his INCARNATION. I have to beat my breast and humbly accept the forgiveness that he created for us during his life, death and Resurrection.

Some days I can feel sure  that these my daily responses to the scriptures is true faith but, knowing myself, I also have to question it. The child that I once was, was often accused of showing off, "playing to the gallery". 

Dear Lord, help me to join Mary and John at the foot of your cross sharing not only in the promise "Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother". but also sharing as did they the bitter real-time pain that my sins have inflicted on you. Amen

The Lord speaks openly through Nathan in today's First Reading. 

Solomon the son of David does eventually build the Temple to become the place in this world from which he will guide his "Chosen People".

There are millions of souls, Jew and Gentile, that have been created since that time but very few who have remained steadfast in the Holiness that is the only response to the gift of conscious life that is acceptable to God. But our God is merciful and ready to forgive all who turn back to Him.

In the Gospel, God Himself  is continuing his revelations to the "Chosen People" and has chosen 12 men with whom over a period of three years he shares the "SECRET" i.e. "INCARNATION".

He is the source of ETERNAL LIFE. IAMIAM. IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT. IAM the Bread of Life. IAM the Light of the World. IAM the Door. IAM the Good Shepherd. IAM the Resurrection and the Life. IAM the Way, the Truth and the Life. IAM the True Vine.

Two thousand years later there is still nothing more than what is revealed in the Bible that we need to know about our "being" and "life" in this world. Human Life is the product of God's Love and the World is the Reality in which he has shown us how to live and die. 

Life is the opportunity to avail ourselves of the limitless Mercy created on Calvary by Our Saviour God.

Dear Lord, Help me to live this day without sin. Let my prayers join with  those of Mary, Joseph, John and all the Apostles and Saints and with all those that we sinners on earth plead for pardon both for ourselves and the departed Holy Souls. Amen

Tuesday Week 3 Ordinary Time

To maintain my "being" as one of the "brethren" of the Incarnation I have to believe "every word that comes from the mouth of God" thus I know that the "brothers at the gate" in today's Gospel were not the children of Theotokos, Our Lady, the unique, sinless female being, created to be the human source of the flesh of "true man, begotten not made". 

Everything that I am and do during my lifetime after my infancy is and has been determined by my will exercised in freedom. Jesus assured us that the problem with the religion of the Jews of his day was not its base in belief " IAMIAM"  but the failure to practise the Commandments of "Our Father" with sincerity.

The reset of creation began by "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" started in a human family. Our Mother Mary joined the already existent family of Joseph which thus became the home of the Holy Family.

In today's Gospel it seems that Mary has come to find out what has happened to cause Jesus to be absent from home in Nazareth and has not come alone. Jesus response is not a denial of his family but to tell us all that we are the "children of God" and have to strive by fulfilling the second commandment to achieve that unity within which we can all hear the WORD that comes from the mouth of God and thus live holy lives in this world and receive  perfect joyful peace in the next.

The last instructions that Jesus gave from his cross "Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother" are our guarantee he is our "forever brother" and that we too can become part of the "New Holy Family" which is our place of Spiritual Safety within which to seek, find and obey the will of "Our Father". Amen

I have become increasingly obsessed recently by the "things of this world" and have not truly listened to the WORD.

There is nothing that should overcome or obscure my one true purpose in life. 

When I was born Europe was in the turmoil of war and Christian men were totally devoted to killing perceived enemies either by attacking or defending themselves. Many of these men  were even more seemingly devoted to God than am I.

I think that I take no part in the evils that polluted the face of the Earth in those days and have continued to do so during my lifetime, but I do know that my personal sins have all added to the Power of  Evil which is continually being accessed to strengthen the resolve of those who choose to become the enemies of God.

St Paul writes to the Corinthians that they should preserve unity with each other. We all have only one true purpose in life . We have to know, love and serve with faith hope and charity. Our sole source of peace and happiness is God whom we must never forget shared all human suffering. 

Jesus was nailed. Yes, "nailed" by having slips of iron hammered through his living flesh, He was nailed to the wood of the cross by human hands that felt the sticky warmth of his precious blood and still completed their ghastly deed.

It is my sins that are assaulting the WORD, SON, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT and even though I am not personally contributing to the Great Sins of the World that I can witness by simply clicking this mouse I have to ask forgiveness for the sins that I have committed and thus bolstered the power of evil in this world.

Dear Lord, you know what my wordless being is aching for please let me me scour out from my heart all the residue of the sin that hinders my being able "to live in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord, to enquire at his holy temple." Amen

I am coming to the end of my life. Jesus lived for less than half the time that I have already lived. His explicit teaching is that we should never accept our life in this world as the sole reality. 

"My Kingdom is not of this world".

He teaches us that we should learn how to make our worldly lives a prayer of thanks for life which enables us to recognise the LOVE of  "Our Father" and to live in the wonder of HIS material creation by following the pathway walked by HIMSELF and to actively seek out the guidance of the HOLYSPIRIT.

Throughout the Old Testament although informed by revelation, the Jews never maintain the "Love thy neighbour as thyself" that is essential if we are "to give to God the things that are God's".

In this morning's Gospel Jesus directly confronts "Unclean Spirits" who seem to recognise the Incarnation. He orders them to take no part in revelation. In other Gospel readings Jesus also encounters "Legion" millions of other evil spiritual beings, devils who are all unseen but active in this world.

The Crucifixion releases Sacramental Grace into this material world and Baptism is our initial source of this grace as protection against devil, world and flesh but our misuse of our freedom, image and likeness  allows evil to flourish in this world. It is not the "unclean and unseen spirits " that disfigure creation but our failure to stop their takeover of our beings and thus bring them into the world where humanity has become the place where the "non-being" that evil is can become manifest.

Dear Lord, help me to resist the assaults made by the Devil which are often disguised as activity which seems innocent but in reality captivates souls into sinful self-satisfaction. You know that I am really trying to do your will in these last days of my life. I am sorry that I have lost faith in your appointed guardians of Sacramental Grace but am grateful that the New Holy Family can never be corrupted by the things of this world and pray that my prayers be joined with those of Mary and John to defeat the snares of the Devil who still prowls like a hungry lion seeking whom he can devour.

"Thou shalt not kill."

Obedience to this "Commandment" is one of the essential behaviours by which we confirm our belief in the "Source of Holiness".

In the Old Testament reading for today David kills Goliath to initiate a mass slaughter of the Philistines.

"This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased" 

ends the Old Testament. Jesus has been identified and remains in public view for the next three years.

In his public ministry Jesus was under intense scrutiny by scholars who had been formed by devotion to the Law which began with the revelations made to Moses.

Today his critics are focused on the Sabbath Law.

Jesus, however,  reveals  by all of his words and deeds that when we know and love God with all our heart, and mind and strength we simultaneously love our neighbour as ourselves and automatically conform to 

"A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so must you love one another."

Our Saviour accepts death for himself but never kills. How can there be such an event as a "just war"?

"My kingdom is not of this world".

God knows that my Faith, my trust in the events recorded in the New Testament is the foundation on which I try to cooperate in the construction of the "human being" that I am meant to be.

I always struggle with the Old Testament. 

As a Gentile I feel neglected by God and yet I know without a doubt that Jesus, scourged, spat upon, mocked, bleeding out as he hangs on Calvary, is the living WORD, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, accepting this humiliation so that each one of us can live, as does he, always aware of the Love in which we are created, and the Loving Mercy which he creates by suffering real pain for us to choose by our own free will to cancel the unimaginable sadness we inflict on Our Father by our sins, also revealed in the Old Testament.

The Mass Readings that are used to begin 2026 force us to be aware that Jesus is the centre of Human Reality. Nobody before him was able to become the perfect product of God's Being. On Calvary "It is finished". His guidance of mankind has been completed. The Resurrection is the seal that confirms the Truth of the Life, Death and Resurrection.

The "Kings" chosen by Samuel all failed in their missions to lead their people into righteous living. Neither did the prophets succeed. But God is determined that  human beings, the product of his loving, goodwill will by their own free decision come to return out of their own beings the Love that is Divine JOY.

Our complete guide book to righteousness begins with an announcement made not to a priest, prophet or King but to a teenaged girl in Nazareth. Mary has always been known in the Eternity of God but 2000 years ago she is made aware of her unique place in Creation and asks

"How can this be?"

The New Testament is the completed answer by which we have to live out our lives on Earth.

God knows that I am never fully convinced by my own efforts to explain how it came about that there were so many human civilizations in the "Those days" of the Old Testament" and yet He revealed himself only to the Jews.

I know that I can thank God for revealing the Way, Truth and Life to those who know, love and serve, Him but I wish that some of us before the Incarnation had not been left alone to live in sinful ignorance. Many of these pagans were not bad people and I pray for them too to benefit from the reset of creation brought about by the Resurrection.

We have not been created automatons, mindless clones but as Image and Likeness we have been created to be able to recognise in our own beings the limitless freedom that is our CreatorGod revealed to be IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT.

We have to choose to worship. We have to struggle to obey. We have to understand to Love. We are free to become the Children of God. 

Two Thousand years ago another Saul, not a king, nor an epitome of masculine beauty as was the first anointed King of the Jews, became Paul and tirelessly worked to bring the Good News to the Jews and Pagans of the Roman Empire.

His legacy and that of the other Apostles has been made known far beyond the realm of Rome. It has never been accepted by all, however, and is now diminishing even within the very civilization it encouraged to spread it throughout the whole world.

The difference between now and the days of Samuel is that our enlightened, progressives choose to deny IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT who has been revealed to all and choose to mock believers and their crucified Saviour with deliberate malice and hatred for God, they are not ignorant pagans.

Dear Lord, Help me to pray for the souls of all sinners and also to avoid the annoyance that they create in my heart. I pray that you inspire them to open their spiritual senses to your guidance and to the obvious fact of their limited existence that they are wasting by devoting themselves to the devil world and flesh. May my prayers join with those of Mary and that the Church of Love continue to be our place of safety from sin in this world as we do your will to prepare for the Life of the World to Come. Amen

The Jews of the Old Testament were very much engaged by "This World". They were one of the many civilizations burgeoning in the heartland of the planet but with them "there was something greater here".

I can call the middle-east "heartland" of the planet because with Jews there has always been something more than with Greeks, Persians, Indians, South-east Asians, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Incas, Mayans and Aztecs.

The creator of the Universe revealed himself as total being. IAIAM, to the descendants of Adam and Eve who were living on the fringes of the Fertile Crescent in the human ignorance that was creating societies and myths to bolster them in many other places throughout the globe.

I am sure that the Judaeo Christian texts of the Bible are the only Truth that shows us the way to defeat Sin, but at same time I also know that my God is not at war with those who have not been exposed to his self-revelation.

There is nothing to be said to justify the behaviour of those who have been slaughtering Palestinians for the whole of my lifetime, but throughout the Old Testament the emphasis was always on an earthly Kingdom to be ruled by Jews. 

Today Samuel sets out the problems that will best them if he proceeds with their request to create a kingdom. He points out all the difficulties that will accrue in this world if they insist on an Earthly Kingdom and God then lets them exercise their freedom to rule and be ruled, to fail and succeed in wars, to acquire and forfeit, waxing or waning until he says "enough!" 

In reality the WORD always speaks in deeds, he sends an Angel to a Jewish teenager who unknown to herself has been prepared as the only sinless source of the Humanity that is the Incarnation. The eternal process that is the reset of Creation has begun in the body of an insignificant slip of a girl in Nazareth an insignificant town, in an insignificant district of Galilee; in the insignificant province of Palestina Romana.

Jesus is true man and true God and when we witness his miracles the "earthly event" always bears witness to his "heavenly being". That is what he tells us today as he stands surrounded by the dirt and palm leaves of the destroyed roof, maybe even with some of those debris tangled in his hair, 

"The SON of MAN has the power to forgive sins. Look how easy it is for for me to cure the diseases of this world".

My lack of "normal" sleep has recently become "too much" for me to bear. Yesterday I was unable to begin my morning with my usual reflections that have become my "raising of mind and heart to God" as I had decided to speak to my doctor about my lack of sleep.

Samuel does not hear the "Lord" in the voice calling him "in the night" until he is guided by Eli for the "WORD of the Lord was rare in those days" but when he answers "Speak Lord for your servant  hears" Samuel begins to grow and becomes known as a prophet throughout all Israel.

This is one of the few "Bible Stories" that impressed itself on my imagination as a child and I often in my childishness waited in vain to hear "the Voice of the Lord". I can also remember that I accepted this lack of response as the reality in which I and my contemporaries, Mum and Dad, baby sister, Aunty Florry, neighbours, Father Merrigan, Churchill and Hitler were living.

Even for that child there were many levels of consciousness and the present moment  was a confusion of past memories, thoughts, imaginative manipulations and actualities in which he had his awareness of being.

The observation "The Word of the Lord was rare in those day" is a great sadness for how can his People live without knowing IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT? and How can we know him if he is "rare"?

The reality of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPRIT, however, is not that he is rare but that it is we who cover our souls with a carapace of sin, this worldlines and downright stupid arrogance that we construct from misguiding our human senses to only recognise the things of this world and cower away from the Lord.

Although I am thankful for the sleep I enjoyed last night, I also have to ask myself whether or not the better part for me would have been to accept ongoing "sleeplessness" as a penance for the sins with which I have disfigured my life. 

God Help me to avoid the Pharisaical over scrupulosity you condemn as "whited sepulchres". Amen

At the end of his life on Earth, Jesus, the Incarnation, the completed Way, Truth and Life makes it clear that this world, the created Universe, is not the "Kingdom" the revelation of which he will complete in his Resurrection.

In our awareness of "being" we are all challenged to explain to ourselves why it is that what we know as life will come to an end. We are, however, not innumerable "consciousnesses" abandoned in the vastness of the visible universe to find out for ourselves "the meaning of life". We are all the personal creations of Infinite Love that subjected himself to all the possible pain that Original Sin brought into the Garden to bring us to Salvation, his Kingdom.

The Holy Bible is the unique text that records the response of the People of God to WORD who completes the revelation of all that we need to become part of the "Kingdom" during his last week on Earth.

For the last 2000 years there are many of us who have been unwilling to accept the Risen Lord as the unwitnessed Resurrection Event. In fact, as the Institutions that developed from "thou art Peter" seemed to become successful in the mission to which Jesus calls Simon, Andrew James and John in this morning's Gospel their success in this world began to smother the reset of creation. that is the Church, Body of Christ. the Resurrection.

The Papal Tiara and Byzantine Diadem could never be compatible with "My kingdom is not of this world" but Jesus has promised to be with his Church until "the end of time" and we can be sure that the Church of His Love, the New Holy Family, Jesus Mary and John is where WORD is forever present.

 "Heaven and Earth may pass away but my WORD will stand."

The Gospel Readings that are part of the liturgical worship of the "People of God" with whom I try to pray each morning to start my day aware that I am always in the presence of God, present us with a series of events that are taken from the memories of Mary and the followers who remained closest to Jesus throughout his life.

My life can become righteous only to the extent that I also follow the teaching as a New disciple of the Scriptures that are the written records of God's presence in creation.

The familiar "In those days" is the only seemingly contradictory "Eternal-time" when God was here on Earth in the flesh of a created being but "begotten not made". Jesus really did live with us as "True Man and True God".

Two Thousand years ago in Palestine, there were "multitudes" of people who saw the Lord and witnessed his miracles. Most of those multitudes, including the Apostles were followers of the Law and thus somewhat spiritually prepared for an Epiphany, but only three had received the laser-like clarity of TRUTH directly into their beings. God had told only Mary, Joseph and the embryonic John of  Eternal WORD, Mary's child.

"Good Man" Joseph quietly did God's will and cared for Mary and her son, Mary also quietly "pondered TRUTH in her heart" but the Baptist began a public mission to prepare the way for the Lord by preaching to his contemporaries and to all of us to reject the devil, world and flesh by accepting Baptism as the Cleansing of all the Human Sin that has spoilt the perfect reality of TRUTH, GOOD and BEAUTY of God's creation.

On that day at "Bethany beyond the Jordan where John was baptizing" God himself proclaims by word and deed the TRUTH on and out of which all being, spiritual and material is created.  Father, Son and Spirit are equally Trueman Jesus in his life, death and Resurrection

"Trinity" is not a human concept but is "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" who has loved each one of us into being and revealed how we should live our lives in praise and thanksgiving for the wonder of his Incarnation.

Jesus is helpless in the stable. Accepts with joy the sustenance of Mary's breast. Learns the skills of a carpenter and studies the Scriptures but today in the Jordan his Infinite identity has  been made known to all generations and we all have to bow before him as we proclaim;

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit 

as it was in the beginning, is now and  always will be.

St John is a human being who has never resisted the Love that only wants others to be as secure in his happiness and trust in God as he is himself. 

His happiness is that he knows and is secure in this knowledge that he has been created by Infinite Love, IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT, and all that he has witnessed in this world during his time with Jesus and Mary is the result of Our Father's revelation that we are all able to abide in Love by following, the way, truth and life that defeats sin.

This our Resurrection Faith taught by the Incarnation.

It does not just happen, however, for when receiving the message of the angel, even Sinless Mary asked "How can this be? Human freedom has to choose to cooperate with the will of the Father and thus respond to Infinite Love by choosing to obey the rules of Love given to Moses.

There are many sources of the Love that arises in my human heart. Unfortunately, not all parents welcome their children into this world, so von Balthasar's concept of the mother's smile being the first sign of Love known by an infant is not necessarily correct. Most of us, however, do grow into adults learning how to receive parental approval which is the "Love" that we return to our own children.

All of us live out our lives in this world and have to be aware that any "Love" that is not centered on Our Father by doing his will on earth is not in fact Love but the totally valueless sham that corrupts us into refusing the LOVE poured out on Calvary, into the New Holy Family, Christ's Church of Love to be received on our behalf by Mary and John.

"Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother."

This is where we can also experience and share in the Love of God who only wants his creatures to be as secure in the happiness of created "image and likeness" as he is in his own Infinite Being.

I have always been aware, even as a child, that I was capable of sin, but I have largely lived my life as if covering up for it were the sole aim of my existence. 

I am coming to realise that I am not alone in this and that "My kingdom is not of this world" precisely because life lived  solely in "this world" is  a lie and that the billions of "iams" who deny the revelations of the meaning of life contained in the Bible are also as stupid as those Political leaders who deny the visual evidence that Renee Nicole Good was murdered yesterday by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.

Today St John writes about Love because he knows that his friend, the son of his adoptive mother, concluded his life by death on a cross because the Resurrection of Love only happens when Eternal Being negates himself to become the Saving Victim that "takes away the sins of the world" and does this once but for all of us.

Jesus pours out his blood hanging on the wood of the cross in his created reality precisely because we create sin in this world, the domain of devil and the flesh, that can only be defeated by each living soul accepting his rule to Love our neighbour as our selves by non-retaliation  and acceptance that we are forgiven in proportion to our own forgiveness of the sins  we observe in and experience from others.

In our lifetimes we can always make "excuses in sin" but in IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT the reality is LOVE so it is no exaggeration for me to condemn my childish sins with the same fervour that condemns the sin that was the contemporaneously perpetrated Jewish Holocaust.

Dear Lord, I know that as today unfolds each moment will reveal the creation of even more sins. This screen will reveal  more of the wickedness of the rich and powerful that will be trumpeted around the world. The human spirit will be celebrated in stories of individual attainments and I will be stirred to sorrow or to anger by what I read, see and hear. Help me to remember that  I am only responsible for my own being and that you totally rejected the things of this world and bore witness to this rejection in the abject, naked humility of death on a cross, before filling creation with the unseen Glory of your Resurrection which has brought back LOVE into our reach. Your own acceptance of  unspeakable death at the hands of men confirms that "Turn the other cheek" is much more than a pious platitude but is indeed a target and also, although seemingly out of our reach, a guide to becoming the human image and likeness you created us to be. May my prayers become one with the prayers of all your saints and together with those of Mary bring your LOVE to bear on the beings of all who are your enemies on Earth and to strengthen the resolve of those who try to do your will and help me to become one of them. Amen

Everything that John writes in his letters and Gospel is the result of his lifetime experience. 

He is "The Theologian" not because of study and applied intelligence but because he was chosen by Jesus to spend three years of his life with "Incarnate Son". 

I cannot begin to grasp the wonder it was for all those who "followed" the Lord as he made his way around Palestine. We know so little about the passage of that time when this planet was filled with the glory of eternity. Mary and Joseph were the first humans to know God. 

At first, he was for them the helpless human "babe in the manger" whom they had to protect with their human love. Mary and Joseph had known from the moment of the "Annunciation" that even with the embryonic Jesus there was "something greater here" and the awe with which thy must have witnessed his "normal" childhood development and the love with which he overwhelmed them as "Mum and Dad" is comprehensible only by IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT who himself is LOVE.

We can be sure that John spent only three years of his life being formed in the "way of Love" but for his final maybe fifty years he cared for Our Lady as he grew in understanding faith and learned that his living/dying/ resurrected friend can only be followed by Love.

With John, however, there is also "something greater here" we know him as a Galilean fisherman, a follower of the Lord, the guardian of the widowed and childless Mary, the Evangelist and teacher, the Elder of  Ephesus but he is also the Visionary of the Apocalypse and thus somehow belongs directly to God and beyond all human understanding.

Jesus during his life on earth repeatedly told us that he had come to complete the Law, not to abolish it. 

He is indeed the living law, WORD who is revealed throughout the Old Testament and is today the Resurrection, the Holy Spirit, Our Father, the Creator and Destiny of each one of us who can be known only by opening our hearts to His guidance recorded in Scripture and free from the worldly entanglements presented to us by the Institutions that have misled the People of God just as had the scribes and pharisees whom were the only ones that Jesus ever condemned even though he told us to listen to their words for it is in deeds that we "Test Spirits" including our own.

I know that I often fall short of the "know, love and serve" which is how  my "willing spirit" would have me live my life and in these "later times" have tried to discipline my unruly being, spirit and flesh, into focusing on "Our Father" in imitation of Christ and his Apostles by trying to spend some of each day in prayer.

I hope that I have no illusions about the Institutional Church, Eastern, Western or Protestant and know that the Holy Spirit confirms that it began in TRUTH at the headwaters of the Jordan when Jesus responded to Peter's unequivocal declaration of Faith with his foundational promise and that TRUTH has never left it even though it has been almost totally obscured by some 80 generations of "this worldliness".

It is for this reason that I try to begin each day with the mass readings from the Roman Lectionary for I know that IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT is the INFALLIBLE WORD which is found only in Scripture and also know that "the gates of hell will not prevail" against the Church of Love our New Holy Family even though all the Institutions crumble as do all the other things of this world.

"Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother".

The Epiphany

In the first reading Isaiah exults in the Glory of the Lord made manifest both in creation and the revelations made to the descendants of Abraham.

During the first fifty years during and after the Life, Death and Resurrection those who had witnessed these events had come to realise that Jesus had told them that he is God made manifest in human being, flesh, and that his grace was not the exclusive property of those to whom he had made the first revelations recorded in the Old Testament.

Paul, who loved his own race to the point of seriously offering to accept personal damnation if that could atone for the sins of the Jews, knew that the Resurrection had heralded the complete reset of the relationship IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT offered to each individual human being regardless of our DNA. 

The souls which we have to nurture during our lifetimes are each a new creation at the moment of our physical conception and although free, belong to God as his created image and likeness. Jesus has revealed that IAMIAM is FATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT,  infinite Loving Mercy focussed on each of the "iams" we know ourselves to be.

Our lives are lived in this world but just as there was with Jesus there is always "something more here" which is vastly more important. I have to know and love God and value each other person as much as I value my ownself for at the end of my life there is to come my personal Epiphany which Our Father wants to be my Eternal Joy but which also requires my unequivocal cooperation with all that is revealed in Scripture.

Five January

When he began to write his memories of "those days" that are the Mass Readings for this morning 05/01/2026, John has had about fifty years to "ponder" the significance of the events he has witnessed during his long life.

Both the letter and the Gospel are still WORD who is now known to be IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT for the Resurrection has completed the reset of His people by Jesus Son of God and confirmed by the destruction of the Temple.

In the letter, John is writing to the beginnings of the "New Israel" that has been founded on Peter and has been preached by the "Friends" of Jesus,  plus Paul, all over the Roman and Persian Empires. 

John has taken care of the Mother of God ever since Jesus' death and knows that it is love that feeds the holiness that makes up a believing heart and so he can tell us that we are able by words and deeds of sinless love to have confidence that our own consciences can guide us along the way, truth and life.

We all have to pray and ponder to build up sincerity of belief in our hearts. The everyday events of this world can very easily consume our attention to the extent that they occupy every moment of our consciousness and block out all thoughts of God. Think of all that is available only a click away.

I have become convinced that the "New Israel" lost its way even in the first centuries of her existence but I know that the WORD will stand to the end of time and I also know that even at the times of her greatest corruption there were still Holy Men and Holy Women to be found within the Church of East and West in spite of the worldliness that corrupted both their structures.

So again at the beginning of this new year I am confirming my thankful trust in the Incarnation and the total revelation that is the Scriptures that guide us all into the security of mutual love in the New Holy Family of Jesus Mary and John by listening again to the dying Jesus who guarantees our Eternal Life.

Second Sunday of Christmas

Each individual who is living now, will live in the future or who has ever lived begins each day in the awareness of self and of the world which is unique and experienced only by himself. I know that "I am" and I know that the physical world is also as real as the body that "I am" but with each of us  there is always something more than material body and physical awareness

The Prophet Sirach in this morning's First Reading proclaims joyfully that the "something more" of his being is the "Wisdom" which was given to the chosen people as awareness of the law which IAMIAM revealed in his love for his people. The Psalm is also a song of thankful joy for the gifts given to Jerusalem.

St Paul is one of the first to grasp that in Jesus' Life, Death and Resurrection IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT has completed his revelation of how we should live out our lives in this world and that has been his eternal will for the created being that is "image and likeness" and which we all share.

The world is the reality within which we live but it must never become dominant to the extent that it blocks awareness of the Love of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT from infusing into our souls.

St Paul tells us that we have been predestined to become "adopted sons" but that does not happen unless we use our freedom to co-operate with Our Father. Neither righteousness nor evil can be forced into us. We are created as free beings in "image and likeness" to refuse the Devil, World and Flesh and be welcomed into the loving safety that is knowing, loving and serving in this world. 

We can be sure to do this when we seek out the WORD in scripture and stand with Mary and John at the foot of the cross witnessing the total devastation that is the seeming triumph of DEATH  but is the  necessary precursor to the Resurrection, the completed revelation and complete reset of creation.

Both the first and second mass readings for today are attributed to St. John. 

I really believe that they are "by" St John but the "learned and clever" of this world have taught me to doubt even the source of the words of scripture and I know that I could not sustain any position in a discussion about biblical sources as the very limited knowledge that I have is only in English.

John tells us that  "the world" did not know Jesus. John is still living in "the world" that was the experience of the generation that had refused to accept that "The WORD had become flesh and dwelt among them" during the three years of public revelation by Jesus in Palestine.

In today's Gospel John remembers what happened when the Baptizer met Jesus. 

"The Baptist" simultaneously recognises "The Lamb of God", the only sacrificial victim that can "take away the sins of the world", "IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT" as the "BEING" of God and the INCARNATION "this is the Son of God".

Most of the  "world" that was the generation living in the same time as Jesus refused to recognise this and all the other "events" as the real-time revelations by "Emmanuel" .

I would dearly love to live righteously during the rest of the time remaining for me. I know that the events of 2000 years ago recorded in Scripture explain all that I need to know about being alive in this world in any post-Resurrection generation but I am afraid that the Sacramental Reality of "This is my, body" cannot be found in the "this worldliness" that, less than 200 years after the deaths of those who had known Jesus, had corrupted both the worldly Papal and Imperial Institutional Church.

There is nowhere in the history of "the world" known by any of the generations subsequent to the death of the Apostles and Assumption of Mary that we can be sure of the claimed presence of God except in the Scriptures and in the individuals whose lives demonstrate a complete faithfulness to those Scriptures.

I believe St John's witness to the words of the "Last of the Old Testament Prophets"; "This is the Son of God"; and can continue to strive to recognise and avoid sin by also believing his witness to Jesus', "Son of God and Son of Mary", last words;  "Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother" which create a New Holy Family, a Church of Love, uttered to Mary and to him from the cross.

The only thing of value within the things of this world is that we can we can recognise the emptiness of their being and totally reject them as we live our lives focussed only on how to know, love and serve in this world to achieve the perfection that is created for each of us in the heart of "Our Father".

The only thing that even the greatest of us can retain at death is the gift that God bestows on all his children, and we all have to personally answer for the condition in which we return our Soul, the invisible source of our lives.

IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT has never left us to be alone and lonely as the "Image and Likeness" of the unlimited vastness of his unseen perfect being. 

He has in these "Later Days" completed his teaching and we the pinnacle of material creation have been taught that our created persons, our invisible souls do not decay when our animal bodies die.

At the beginning of 2026, 100 generations of mankind after the Incarnation, we are still living in "these later days" for everything we need to know to become the "Adopted Children of God" has been signed, sealed and delivered by INCARNATESON during his life on earth.

Even in the very first of our "Later Days" there were those who did not accept the evidence that we still find in the scriptures. Many of those who had screamed "Crucify him, Crucify him" did not regret their actions and sought to maintain an impossible opposition to "Resurrection Faith" from "day one". 

There are millions of humans who have lived and died believing  the lie, first told by the Scribes and Pharisees in response to the Resurrection, developed by the Rabbis and reactivated by Mohammed.

Within the writings of Old and New Testament WORD is eternally present to enlighten us with the light that is Christ and so we try not "hate" anyone but we all know that anger arises unbidden in our hearts and minds. 

In the first reading Mary's adopted Son warns us that it is a lie to deny that Christ is God. Elizabeth's son, also named John, knew that he was the final Prophet exclusive to the "Chosen People" symbolises by baptism in the Jordan the Saving Grace of blood and water that is to be poured out on Calvary.

Jesus was killed by his enemies, both the Johns also stood firm in the face of their enemies, many more "Anti-Christs" have and are still lying to themselves in these continuing "days" but the WORD still stands and will fill our hearts from within even though he demands that we do the seemingly impossible by turning the other cheek, never forgetting that the neighbours whom we have to love as we do ourselves are also the enemies who do and do not know what it is to hammer nails through the human flesh of the Son of God.

Dear Lord, forgive me from adding to the evil of this world by excusing my anger as "righteous" let me truly be part of the "New Holy Family" by imitating the totally sinless obedience of Mary and the purity that is recognised by "The Loving Disciple" and thus learn how ensure that my conduct is not decided by the actions of others. Help me to retain your LOVE in my heart. Amen

Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God.

Mary is a real human person. 

So am I. 

This means that both she and I are aware that we are created beings and that we are unique in this being, both of us, the only one of our kind, in this created universe that is the Glorious Will to Love of IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT made manifest in and to "image and likeness" the pinnacle of created being, mankind.

Both of us are "Natural" in that our being is created by "Our Father". We are both "born under the law". We have  completely natural bodies ultimately composed of the "flesh" that human science has come to know as the particles of material being that are all but beyond human understanding in the  power of their almost timelessly invisible infinitude.

With Jesus there is "always something greater here" and so too with every human being for we all also have the unique life of our souls  that is created by God at the moment of our conception and certainly lasts  until "the end of time".

Mary, however, is the "fulness of time", she is the "Mother of God", who is IAMFATHERSONHOLYSPIRIT'S chosen sinless person to be the natural source of his "begotten not made", "Incarnation" and can thus become our mother for being sinless, she has never died and is with her Son, Jesus always ready to welcome our souls into the mystical New Holy Family of Love that she accepted when she heard the words of her Son.

"Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother."

Dear Lord, keep me from sin just for today and help me to know, love and serve. Let me learn to overcome these difficulties of living with which I am surrounded. Please help me to truly be your servant and let these prayers be heard and enhanced by Mary and all the saints that they may  bring Mercy to me and mine on Earth and also to the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen
