The formatting of my prayer and reflection records over the last couple of days has gone haywire and I have lost the the little knowledge that I had of how to correct it. I hope that today I will be able to solve the problem and produce a record that looks right.
The thoughts are all my own, grown out of the experience I have had during my lifetime. I know that my deeds have not always matched my intentions and that I am trying to rectify that in these my "end times".
St Paul did not have to contend with technology but he did have to preach the Word of God with the fluency of both thought and tongue that would be God's Truth preached to Jew and Gentile in the provinces of Anatolia.
St John towards the end of his life was able to review all that he had experienced from the moment he was called "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men" through both the quiet times spent with Our Lady and the intensity of the persecutions which he had resisted.
He has heard "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am you also must be." He also remembers the reaction of St. Thomas their empirical scientist. "Lord we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?
Is there anything more that we need to know than
"I am the way, the truth and the light."
Our response has got to be
"Maranatha! Come! Lord Jesus come!
The words may keep on changing but this is the only prayer that I can make for it is the Lord who has the message of eternal life.
